The article reviews the role of fast chargers in swiftly developing area of electrical energy storage devices. Energy efficient techniques implemented in fast chargers are shown, world standard requirements are mentioned. The models of the two topologies of the greatest interest: soft switched rectifier with diodes at the secondary side and synchronous rectifier are carried out and the results of simulations are presented. Higher efficiency of synchronous rectifier is proven.

. This paper presents an implementation of the k-means clustering method, to segment cross sections of X-ray micro tomographic images of lamellar Titanium alloys. It proposes an approach for estimating the optimal number of clusters by analyzing the histogram of the local orientation map of the image and the choice of the cluster centroids used to initialize k-means. This is compared with the classical method considering random coordinates of the clusters.

. The main purpose of the work was to analyze sensory platform solutions for use on the Internet of Things. Emphasis was placed on the literature study on Sensor Platforms, Internet of Things, Bluetooth Low Energy Communication Protocol, serial digital and analog interfaces most commonly used in sensory platforms. Analysis of sensory platform solutions was carried out in terms of their functionality and efficiency. The SensorTag CC2650 sensing platform by Texas Instruments, turned out to be the best and has been used to build the hub model. The hub model was based on hardware and software implementation, which resulted in the expansion of the sensor platform with 6 additional analog inputs and a Bluetooth Low Energy data transmission profile. Testing the correctness of the software produced in the laboratory environment has made it possible to determine the correct functioning of the concentrator model.

The paper deals with an analysis of single-phase reluctance motor used to test the motion equations of an electromechanical system. The identification of the motor electric parameters as a function of the rotation angle of the rotor was carried out. The work presents the characteristics and motion equation parameters of the motor dynamics. The parameters of the motion equations obtained from the experiment and from the second order Lagrange'a equations are compared. The derivation of motion equation with a discussion of holonomicity of electromechanical systems is presented.

. In the 21 st century wireless sensor networks have gained much popularity due to their flexibility. This progress has enabled the use of sensor nodes on an unprecedented scale and opened new opportunities for the so-called ubiquitous computerization. The total freedom of nodes distribution within the wireless network, where the wireless characteristic is one of the greatest advantages of the use of wireless sensor networks, implies its greatest weakness, i.e. the limitation of mobile power sources. To overcome this challenge specialized routing protocols, such as LEACH, were ushered in for making the effective use of the energy of the nodes themselves. The purpose of this article is to show how the life of a sensor network depends on the number of nodes equipped with a mobile limited power source.

This paper refers to the cases of the use of Artificial Neural Networks and Convolutional Neural Networks in impedance tomography. Machine Learning methods can be used to teach computers different technical problems. The efficient use of conventional artificial neural networks in tomography is possible able to effectively visualize objects. The first step of implementation Deep Learning methods in Electrical Impedance Tomography was performed in this work.

3D motion visualization is a topic closely connected with motion capture. Motion capture data come in many file formats, one of which is C3D. The following paper presents an innovative method of motion visualization in virtual reality using Google Cardboard. Motion data are read from C3D files. The paper presents introduction to the technology used, analysis of existing solutions, presentation of the proposed method, its implementation and results.

It was proposed a method of comparative estimation of process control loops based on a complex of direct and indirect performance measurers taking into account stability margins. It was presented a comparison algorithm for complex performance parameter considering the influence of stability margins of a control loop on its properties. Features of the method of comparative estimation of process control systems performance have been considered as an example for the closed loop feedback control system with PI controller (4 variations) and the second order plus transport delay plant.
