Diseases mediated by antibodies may be secondary to viral [13], bacterial [4-6] and parasitic infestations [7-9]. The formation of antibodies, and therefore also of autoantibodies, occur in B-lymphocytes [10-12] whose activity is modulated by the lymphocytes T helper [13-15] and according the composition of the gut micro flora [16-18]. In lasting years, many articles have clarified the importance of the micro biome and how it may be a possible biological signature for some diseases [19-21].

Phytochemical Analysis, Cytotoxcity and Antifungal Activities of Guiera Senegalensis Leaves Extract Review Senegalensis叶片提取物的植物化学分析、细胞毒性和抗真菌活性

The aim of this review is to investigate the phytochemical analysis, toxicity, and the antifungal activity of Gueira senegalensis leaves extract and compare methods. Extract of the leaves of Gueira senegalensis was tested for its antimicrobial activity against Stemphylium solani, Aspergillus flavus, Trichoderma viride, Penicillium Spp., Fusarium verticillatum, Cladosporium cladosporioides, and Fusarium solani. This review showed that Gueira senegalensis leaves extract has no inhibition activity against all of the tested fungal strains. On the other hand, the toxicity test, which was conducted by using brine shrimp, suggests that Gs leaves extract is apparently not toxic. The phytochemical screening revealed that Gueira senegalensis leave extract contains alkaloids, flavonoids, terpenoids, tannin, carbohydrates, proteins, steroids, and saponins. The results of this preliminary investigation suggest that the medicinal plant extract may be safe to use as a drink for treatment of various diseases as has been practiced for years in the villages of Western Sudan. More research is needed to investigate if there is any side effect when the extract is taken orally. Further, the medicinal properties of the phytochemical compounds of Gueira senegalensis need to be further investigation.

Therapeutic Trials Of Nigella Sativa 黑穗病的治疗试验

Nigella sativa (NS) (Ranunculaceae family) is generally utilized as a therapeutic plant all over the world. The seeds of the plant have a long history of use in different frameworks of medicines and food. N. sativa seed reveal a broad spectrum of pharmacological activities including immunopotentiation and antihistaminic, antiseptic, antiallergic, anti-hypertensive, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial activities. It is known as a source of thymoquinone, thymohydroquinone, dithymoquinone, p-cymene, carvacrol, 4-terpineol, t-anethol, sesquiterpene longifolene, nigellicimine and nigellicimineN-oxide, α-pinene and thymol etc. Additionally, this is uncovered that the majority of therapeutic properties of this plant are due to the presence of thymoquinone (TQ) which is a major bioactive component of the essential oil. The incalculable medicinal properties and therapeutic uses of N. sativa prove its importance as a valuable medicinal plant. The aim of this review is to summarize some important pharmacological studies and phytochemical investigations on N. sativa and isolated principles which can be investigated further to get novel molecules in the search of novel herbal drugs.

Growth in the Use of Photovoltaic Energy in Brazil 巴西光伏能源使用的增长

In a world of ever growing interdependence, energy is increasingly becoming a subject of international dispute, both on economic and political level. Responding to this challenge, national and international decision-makers are seeking new strategies to diversify the energy mix of their home countries and arrange for a more sustainable production. Brazil has vast amounts of untapped renewable resources with a number of advantages over developed countries. However, the role that renewable energies plays in the Brazilian market is still quite small (except for hydro power). Drawing from the German example, this paper aims to develop a guideline for a Brazilian incentive program that encompasses the so far neglected photovoltaic technology, and takes into account the country’s peculiarities. It highlights the potential and advantages that Brazil might have regarding gridconnected photovoltaic systems and makes a study of grid parity. This study was developed trough scenarios that identify when, how and in which regions of the country, photovoltaic generation would be competitive with conventional generation. The grid parity study of photovoltaic technology in Brazil was compared to a similar study developed in Europe. It showed, no matter the current cost of photovoltaic technology, it can be competitive with conventional generation in 2020 at the sunniest regions of Brazil, considering the worst scenario.

Soft-templated Synthesis of Carbon Micron-Buds 碳微米芽的软模板合成

Using coal tar pitch based amphiphilic carbonaceous materials (ACMs) as the precursor and amphiphilic triblock copolymer F127 as the only soft template, hollow Carbon Micro-Buds (CMBs) were synthesized. The concentration of F127, cF, and the mass ratio of F127 to ACM, r, are the key parameters of controlling the shape of the asprepared products. CMBs with diameters of about 1 μm were prepared under the condition of ci = 53.4 g/L and r = 2. CMBs were amorphous materials.

Comparing Mosquito Repellency Efficacy on Textiles Sprayed with DEET and Permethrin 避蚊胺与氯菊酯纺织品驱蚊效果比较

N,N-Diethyl-meta-toluamide (DEET) and Permethrin are the most common active ingredients in mosquito repellents. They are commonly sprayed on textiles and clothing to repel insects, specifically, mosquitos, in order to avoid the vector-borne diseases spreading through communities. In this article, we first discuss the characteristic of DEET and Permethrin based on their composition and chemical structure. We then conducted experiments to evaluate the functionality of each ingredient. We also compared the anti-mosquito efficacy of the textiles and clothing sprayed with DEET and Permethrin; the government restriction of the application of these pesticides to textiles and clothing due to their toxicity level and impact on the human body, and any damages to textile and clothing materials.

Alterations in Thiol/disulphide Homeostasis of Acute Lung Toxicity of Bleomycin in Rats 博来霉素急性肺毒性大鼠硫/二硫稳态的改变

Bleomycin (BLM)-induced pulmonary fibrosis, a progressive and lethal form of interstitial lung disease, is mediated through the generation of reactive oxygen species. Since the dynamic thiol/disulphide homeostasis is a substantial marker for oxidative stress, for future glutathione based methodological researches on the progressive BLM toxicity in lungs, it is very valuable to show that the toxic mechanism. We investigated the dynamic thiol/disulphide homeostasis in a rat model with BLM-induced pulmonary fibrosis. BLM (5 mg/kg) or saline was injected into the lungs as 0,1 ml by insuline syringe that inserted into gently opened trachea of anesthetized rats. Native thiol (SH), total thiol (total SH), and disulphide (SS) levels were measured in rat serum at pre-treatment, 24th hour, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 14th, and 28th days of BLM treatment, with a novel automated method recently described. The levels of native SH and total SH in BLM group were decreased at 24th hour and this reduction were gradually continued up to 28th day when compared with pre-treatment BLM and/or the saline control group. On the other hand there were significantly a high ratio in BLM group with %SS/SH at 4th day and %SS/total SH at 4th and 28th days while there was no difference at 7th and 14th days. Results clearly indicate that the thiol/disulphide homeostasis can be acutely disturbed in the experimental model of BLM-induced fibrosis. So this data offer a new modeling option to discuss the therapy strategies and the effect mechanisms of BLM-induced lung toxicity.

Synthesis, α-Glucosidase Enzymatic Inhibition and Docking Studies of some Fused Heterocycles 一些融合杂环的合成、α-葡萄糖苷酶抑制及对接研究

In the search of heterocyclic ring systems potentially useful as α-glucosidase inhibitors we have synthesized a set of heterocycles bearing hydroacridone 4-5, hydroxanthone 6, quinazolone 8, benzoyl phtalimide 9 and isoquinolone 10-11. These compounds under study were subjected to enzyme inhibition and compared against reference inhibitor acarbose observing potent inhibition for benzoyl phtalimide 9, and isoquinolone dione 11. Based on their inhibition activity, both candidates were selected for docking analysis to determine their best posing, and the interactions involved between the ligand and the residues. A comparative analysis was established to determine the potential correlation between the interactions found, the inhibition observed for the candidates and the interactions observed for the reference inhibitor acarbose.

In-process and finished products quality control tests for pharmaceutical tablets according to Pharmacopoeias 根据药典进行药品片剂的过程和成品质量控制试验

A pharmaceutical tablet must satisfy certain standards to claim it to be a quality drug. The main criteria for quality of any drug in dosage form are its safety, potency, efficacy, stability, patient acceptability and regulatory compliance. The quality of a pharmaceutical tablet needs to be designed from the product development stage. At the product design and formulation stage the physical, chemical and biological specifications, to which the product must comply with to fulfill quality requirements, have to determine and the target for quality must be set. In-process quality control (IPQC) tests are strongly related to final products quality because checks performed during production in order to monitor and if necessary to adjust the process to ensure that the product conforms to its specification are the key for good quality pharmaceutical tablets. The purposes of IPQC are to produce a perfect finished product by preventing or eliminating errors at every stage in production. After the manufacturing process is complete finished product quality control (FPQC) tests for pharmaceutical tablets are performed with respect to specification of the pharmacopoeias in order to checks that the quality parameters are within acceptance limits or not. The aim of this study is to provide in-process and finished products quality control tests for pharmaceutical tablets according to pharmacopoeias.
