Objective: to examine different interpretations of the definition “educational space”, to classify these interpretations according to the criterion of objectness of the study. Methods: a systematic approach based on general scientific methods of empirical and theoretical research, such as comparison, analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction. Results: in this study we explored the concept “educational space” as economic and social categories. Identified the role of educational space in development of economic and social processes in society; revealed the main characteristics of definitions of educational space by grouping categories. Scientific novelty: proposed the four-factor classification of the concepts of educational space according to the criterion of objectness of the study; presented the scheme of interrelation between the concepts of educational space according to the criterion of objectness. Practical relevance: fundamental propositions and conclusions of the article can be used for further theoretical analysis of “educational space” with respect to the subject of its classification.

Objective: to consider new learning models in higher education system in the course of training of highly qualified personnel; to detect advantages and disadvantages of remote learning system for students. Methods: in this work we used general scientific methods of theoretical learning, which allowed us to examine new forms and models of learning, used in the modern educational process. Results: we revealed directions of learning methods in higher educational institutions and estimated contribution of intellectual capital into economic growth of the country. Scientific novelty: we estimated the contribution of remote learning model in the training of highly qualified personnel; this model will allow to increase the return of investments into education and to positively affect the economic growth of the country. Practical relevance: fundamental provisions of the article may be used in preparation of “the road map” of development of higher educational institutions and training of personnel for modernized economy.

Objective: to demonstrate the current status of Russian industry, to assess prospects for its development and to identify the impact of innovative processes on economic development. Methods: a systematic approach based on general scientific methods of empirical and theoretical researches, such as observation and comparison, analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, as well as statistical methods, macroeconomic analysis. Results: in this article we illustrated trends and identified causes that hinder the production modernization of the whole Russian industry; we also revealed the sector that can become the driver of innovative development, which will allow to restructure the existing industrial policy and to use the existing competitive advantages. Scientific novelty: we defined the tasks that will allow upgrading of technological base and rational resource management in industry; moreover, we defined the indicators, which allow us to estimate the competitiveness of industrial production. Practical relevance: conclusions and suggestions can be used by governmental authorities and experts during development of strategic policy, aimed at innovative development of the Russian economy.
