Due to the coronavirus pandemia, dental schools are facing a change onto virtual solutions. Teledentistry has proven to be an opportunity to bridge this gap. This study aims to assess the feasibility and acceptance of a virtual dental examination. It took place during the final maxillofacial examination. Study participants were dental students and real inpatients. A video-call-software was used to carry out the examination. To assess the acceptance participants filled out a questionnaire afterwards. 22 patients answered the questionnaire. They didn’t ‘feel inhibited’ and had no ‘difficulties developing a relationship with the student’. 28 students answered the questionnaire. They found the conversation at eye level but expressed more inhibitions than the patients in a virtual setting, still finding themselves able to have an adequate doctor-patient conversation. Telemedicine seems well accepted on patients’ and students’ side, offering a safe alternative to enable students to maintain dental teaching in a pandemic situation.

This study aims to investigate the English teachers’ views on the CEFR-aligned curriculum adoption in Malaysian primary ESL classroom. This paper intends to investigate the challenges surrounding teachers’ pedagogical practices on CEFR-based incorporated lesson. The study employs a quantitative approach where data were collected via survey questionnaires which is adapted and distributed to ESL primary school teachers in Malaysia via random purposive sampling. A descriptive statistic was used to analyse the quantitative data. The findings revealed that most of the teachers admitted having limited knowledge and minimum exposure on the CEFR implementation. Yet, they perceived positive perceptions on the revised CEFR-aligned curriculum adoption despite facing some difficulties and challenges. Teachers’ perceptions are vital for the authorities and policy makers to review and provide measures to ensure that stakeholders are fully prepared and capable to incorporate CEFR successfully and effectively in English language education.

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, in order to more effectively implement the strategy of strengthening agriculture with talents and promote the efficient development of agriculture, China has made continuous efforts in the cultivation and construction of agricultural talent teams, and has achieved remarkable results. Agricultural colleges and universities are important venues for training agricultural development talents. Data shows that there are currently more than 15 million emerging professional farmers in China, and the number of agricultural scientific research talents in the country has reached 625,000. These talents provide practical development for agricultural production important support and guarantee, but there are also problems that talent training cannot adapt to actual agricultural production requirements. This article makes a detailed analysis and research on the strategy of young people's red dreaming journey in the new agricultural sciences and building dreams in agricultural colleges and universities, which can provide a reliable theoretical reference for the cultivation of talents in agricultural colleges.

Background: Despite consistent demands, examples of interdisciplinary and evidencebased curricula are rare in dentistry. To address this, the following pilot study describes the conception of an interdisciplinary curriculum on the topic of tooth extraction (TE) vs. tooth preservation (TP). Methods: Based on the German National Learning Objective Catalog on Dentistry, 1408, learning objectives were analyzed, and an interdisciplinary lecture series on TE vs. TP was conceived and conducted. Students’ knowledge increase was measured using self-assessment questionnaires on a 6-step Likert scale (from 1 = very good to 6 = insufficient) and by structured evaluation. Results: Overall, the students rated their theoretical knowledge significantly better (p < 0.001) and the pilot course was evaluated “well” to “very well” by the students in terms of didactics, relevance, extent, and involvement. Discussion: The pilot course allowed students to choose between tooth extraction and tooth preservation based on an evidence-based and interdisciplinary assessment.

This paper explores the effect of practical work on students' achievement in science at secondary level in Gorkha district, Nepal. The research was carried out using Quasi-Experimental pretest/ posttest research design. For carrying out the research, two schools of Gorkha district were selected purposively. For the collection of data, the researcher developed test items as the main instrument. Items were selected by analyzing difficulty level and discrimination index through pilot study. Then prepared test items were pretested to both schools and responses were checked and scored the result of pretest. The experiment group was taught using practical approach for one term while the control group was taught using the traditional methods. At the end of instructional period, both groups were post-tested with the same set of the test items in each school. The result of pre-test and post-test of both groups were analyzed at 0.05 level of significance using SPSS version 20 for the score of achievement test to find out the significance difference between two mean score of control group and experimental group. This study showed that mean achievement score of students taught by using practical approach resulted higher students achievement score of students in science. This study also revealed that the practical approach is more effective in science teaching at secondary level. So science teachers should be encouraged to incorporate this method in teaching.

Interest is currently thought to be an important construct that it can influence student motivation. It has widely been recognized that there are long-term and short-term forms of interest (often referred to as individual interest and situational interest, respectively), but it has not always been recognized that these may interact. For example, the term actualized individual interest can be used to refer to the arousal of interest that occurs when educational material aligns with one’s preexisting individual interest. This form of interest is important because it results in high level and persistent engagement in learning, yet it is not a widely studied phenomenon. The purpose of the present commentary is to bring attention to this important construct, with the aim of promoting conversation among researchers.

Language is an important and prominent component of culture. Rich cultural connotation conveys endless cultural information. English and Chinese are the languages that have distinguishing features and exist differences in their expressions and customs. Translation can exchange politics, economy and culture of different countries and nations, so the culture of a country can be shared and used by other countries to promote national cultural prosperity and innovation. By knowing the connection between language and culture, this article delves into the cultural connotation of the two languages from color words, customs, religious belief and idioms which reflect the key cultural factors in language and the similarities and differences between cultures in translation. This helps us understand the commonality of human culture and discern their individuality, therefore, we can not only achieve the equivalent of the linguistic meaning, but also achieve the equivalent in the true
