Internet of things is an emerging technology that enables communication among various computing devices using sensors. In these days people are cautious about the road surface condition that they travel. Therefore the road surface should be monitored and maintained. Multiple solutions has been proposed to monitor the road surface condition based on mobile sensing, crowd sensing and vehicle based sensing applications. These has provided a method for the analysis of the quality of roads. Cloud is more efficient and reliable in transportation of the data. The various challenges in cloud computing are mobility support, location awareness, privacy and security, more downtime, low latency and geo-distribution. Fog computing has been proposed in order to overcome these challenges. The article here we put forward a privacy preserving protocol namely Identity Based Signcryption for lane surface monitoring system using fog computing to provide security to the data that is transmitted. This privacy preserving protocol should meet the challenging requirements on various aspects such as secrecy, validity, truth, privacy and ambiguity. In order to preserve the privacy of the user a highly efficient identity based signcryption is proposed in this paper. So, only the authorized data can hit the cloud. The aim of this project is to develop an intelligent Lane surface monitoring system that preserves the privacy of the user.

Hyperspectral detection of manmade or natural targets is an emerging area of research over past two decades. This paper focus on the target detection algorithms which utilizes structured background and their performance is analyzed using established statistical techniques. We have considered supervised algorithms such as Adaptive Matched Subspace Detector (AMSD), Orthogonal Subspace Projection (OSP) and Hybrid Structured Detector (HSD). We have used Automatic Target Generation Process (ATGP) to estimate the background endmembers. This paper presents a detailed analysis of structured target detection algorithms and the performance of the algorithms is evaluated using the real hyperspectral HYDICE Urban image.

In any speech communication system, the presence of background noises cause the quality or intelligibility of speech to degrade. Speech quality refers to naturalness and cleanliness that is, how good the signal is perceived. Speech intelligibility refers to understandability between speaker's and listener's message. Speech corrupted by noise (far-end speech) and speech rendered in a noisy environment (near-end speech) lacks intelligibility and is uncomfortable for human listening. The current work aims to improve speech intelligibility for a near-end listener. State of the art near-end speech enhancement algorithms improve intelligibility by reallocating speech energy over time and frequency depends on the perceptual distortion measure. This method automatically redistributes speech energy from vowels to transients with reduced delay. However it treats different classes (e.g. fricatives, stops, liquids, nasals) of consonant sounds as a single group during energy reallocation. The effect of noise is disparate and it varies among different consonant classes of sound. Therefore an analysis is carried out to find out the energy relation among the classes of sound units and weightings are given to low energy classes of sounds. Then weighted energy reallocation method is evaluated for speech quality and intelligibility using PESQ and STOI. In addition to that an analysis is carried out to find out the optimum segment size for energy reallocation.

A Few people and groups are not able to operate the computer because of their illnesses. In this scenario, it is more sound, to introduce a method of computer operation, which is easily accessible, even considering the disabilities of the differently abled. The Human eye can be considered as a perfect substitute of computer operating hardware. In this paper an Internet protocol camera has been used to take the image of an eye frame for cursor movement. In this regard, we need to focus on the job of the EYE, to begin with. For Pupil identification we are using Raspberry pi which can deal with the cursor of the computer and in this task, even an Eye Aspect Ratio (EAR) is ascertained which talks to the snaps of the eye (left or right) by utilizing the Open Source Computer Vision module of the Python programming dialect. The main goal of our proposed technique is to enhance the computer experience of the physically challenged, to help them overcome difficulties like usage of a mouse.

The seasonal agricultural products could be dried when surplus quantity is produced and it can be consumed when not cultivated. Drying of food materials consumes a much time and energy. Green house dryer is the cheapest drying methods since it consumes naturally available solar energy. The use of green house dryer keeps the food safe from dirt, dust and even from adverse weather conditions instead of keeping the food material in open sun light. The computational fluid dynamics is most powerful tool required to optimize the design and analysis is carried out with different roof structure greenhouse solar dryer like hemispherical, trapezium and triangle. The dryer analysis was carried out with free and forced convection for Triangle, hemispherical and trapezoidal and also analyzed the performance with no load condition. Temperature profiles under various ambient conditions were analyzed to find the most efficient dryer. The result concludes that trapezoidal roof shape greenhouse dryer has maximum temperature than other shapes of greenhouse solar dryer.

Energy conservation is a challenging issue due to increase in demands. Hence, greater interest arises in conserving electrical energy. So, electricity monitoring isessential as the concept of energy management and conservation has gained popularity. Despite of being such an essential tool, it is still done in an out-dated style. The whole process is time consuming, complexand manual with a compromise on accuracy. As a solution to this, an automated system with a high level of accuracy and proficiency using a technique called Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring(NILM) is proposed. NILM takes data from a single measuring point and disaggregates it to get energy consumption parameters of individual appliances. This project is a proposal to implement a system that can keep a track on all the home appliances and the user can obtain the energy consumption parameters of all the appliances. To implement NILM, data acquisition module based on Arduino is developed and the disaggregation is done on PROCESSING (software used for signal processing). The user can monitor the energy consumed by each individual appliance using a software and can distinguish the higher power consuming appliance. The software works as a data setter to set energy limits, which warns the user regarding the energy usage. If human presence is not detected, the active appliances will be turned off after a particular time limit which is set by the user which reduces energy consumption.

Biodiesel is among one of the environment friendly and nontoxic alternative fuels that is acquired from renewable energy sources. Exploration of new methods for biodiesel production has become a key area of interest in research due to the environmental benefits of biodiesel and the fluctuating prices in fuel. The present work exemplifies the transesterification of used cooking oil to biodiesel. The feedstock was obtained from the mess of St. Joseph's College of Engineering, Chennai. The reactant used here was methanol and the base catalyst used was KOH. The study parameters were catalyst concentration, temperature, reaction time and methanol content. The characteristic properties of the produced biodiesel like Flash Point, Fire Point, Purity, Kinematic Viscosity, Ash, Calorific value, Cetane Number, Density, Acid value, Iodine Value was studied using various laboratory equipments. The biodiesel produced was blended with petroleum diesel to run the unmodified diesel engine which had an rpm of 1500. The emission of biodiesel was tested to be 1.32 and the smoke density was less than 1.58 which is petroleum diesel smoke density and this was approved by Regional transport officer.

The concept of blockchain without a doubt is a revolutionary concept. It is the underlying Technology behind bitcoin and many more cryptocurrencies. Although the people's focus being only at blockchain as cryptocurrencies in everyday services to do payments online without the interference of a third party will try to replace the current method of cash which is a really slow and ancient method. Blockchain is a zero trust network and this makes it a very powerful tool for various services provided that people are ready to believe and invest in it. In the Ethereum world, the blockchain runs on smart contracts which are self-executing applications that come at a cost of security. This zero-trust network is capable of replacing many of the debated process or activities in our day to day life. One of our biggest concerns is an E-voting system which must be secure. Blockchain being an immutable and append only ledger will not allow for any tampering while also being fully transparent. In this paper, we have implemented and tested a sample e-voting app running as a smart contract for ethereum network using E-Wallets. After an election is held, eventually, the ethereum blockchain will hold the records of ballots and voters thus giving us a clear and trusty network where mishandling is to a minimum.

Cerebral palsy describes as motor adversity which causes due to abnormal brain development, most of the times before birth. It is refers as a set of disorder's where muscle movement and co-ordination can be affected. For several cases it affects to the eyesight, the ability to hear and sensation are also affected. Sleep disturbance is also a major problem that Cerebral Palsy affected children are usually facing. According to the centres for Disease control and preservation (DCDC) it is estimated that this disease is affecting at least 1.5 to 4 out of 1,000 children all over the world. Nearly, 15-20% of the total physically handicapped children suffering from Cerebral Palsy. For India, is around 3/1000 live births; however being a developing country India the expected rate is higher. Children who affected with this Cerebral Palsy need professional rehabilitation at an early age. The aim of this review is to show mainly about the disease of Cerebral Palsy and we have done several literature review based on that critical evidence for improvement of future use. This review and most of the guidance with clinical support helps children to improve their vision and hearing power with special needs. It can be followed with the outlines of procedures clinical equipment needed for best practice. The main benefits of writing this review paper to estimate several rates of Cerebral Palsy disease and this paper can help for further research studies, since, Cerebral Palsy have become a major disease all over the world.
