SnO2 thin film sensor was fabricated with microelectronic technology and NH3 (ammonia) gas sensing characteristics were measured in a temperature range 200–375 °C. It was observed that surface doping with platinum improves significantly the material's sensitivity to ammonia, and the optimal operational temperature of the sensor was 325 °C. The sensor showed high sensitivity to low NH3 concentration in the range 20–350 ppm with relatively fast response (10 s) and recovery times (30 s), respectively.

The contact potential difference (CPD) and surface voltage drop (SVD) has been investigated on epitaxial detector p+-n−n+ — structures using Kelvin Probe Force Microscopy (SPFM). The structures were based on undoped n-GaAs layers. The nonuniform distribution of the CPD in n-GaAs layer has been obtained. Applied reverse bias drops on the three regions within n-GaAs layer.

Due to the intensive use of FIR filters in video and communication systems, high performance in speed, area and power consumption is demanded. Basically, digital filters are used to modify the characteristic of signals in time and frequency domain and have been recognized as primary digital signal processing operations. They are typically implemented as multiply and accumulate (MAC) algorithms with the use of special DSP device. The multielement structure of mechanical resonant sensors for acoustic signal processing and analysis is offered. Microstrings various length and diameter with resonant frequencies over the range of 100 Hz – 20 kHz are used as resonant sensors. The techniques of the structure fabrication and the definition of resonant frequencies of string sensors are developed. The design of the optical readout system based on CMOS camera and the oscillation amplitude measurement procedure for the acoustic signal frequency spectrum definition are offered.

Algorithm of modified neural network based on Volterra kind network with the weight coefficients formed by the selforganization method was developed.
