Play is not only an enjoyable activity with which a child fills his/her free time, but it presents a very imprtant factor in promoting the psychological development of children. Playing, children learn about the world in which they live as well as about their own positon in it. Play encourages the physical, cognitive, socio-emotional and moral development of children. Relying on the research results we want to point to the changes in the way children grow up, which, inter alia, contribute to the apparent reduction of time children spend involved in play like in a free, spontaneous, creative activity together with their peers due to the time they spend at a computer in an individual activity being led by the modern media. Our objective is to raise parents’ and professionals’ awareness about the importance of play in promoting the psychosocial develeopment of children and about the possible risks to the psychological development of children if play keeps being disregarded. Play should be an important part of growing up since through it children are more likely to grow up into psychologically stable persons and valuable society members. Play is not a waste of time, but a long-term investement in children’s academic and life success.

Globalization is defined according to the context in which it is analyzed, while globalism might be identified with the ideology promoting globalization. Globalization cannot be properly analyzed since as a complex process it has not been completed yet. It might be very diverse, and is reflected mainly in the domains of economy, politics, culture and language. Globalization enables a fast cross-border flow of information, goods, capital and people, and with it also the penetration of customs, habits and cultural values. As a part of it, developed countries impose economic rules, policies, cultural values, social norms and even language upon the undeveloped ones. Starting from the colonial period up to the present, the developed nations have used the Arabic language in an attempt to make globalization real in the Arabic speaking world by means of economic power, education system and also the campaign against literary language. However, the communities, characterized by mature linguistic awareness, have successfully resisted those negative effects of globalization. Although the native speakers do not play an important role, the Arabic language is exposed to the threats of globalization even because they take needless delight in anything foreign. Young people in the Arab world should show more respect toward their own mother tongue since it presents the main feature of their national identity. The Arabic language presents the language of the fundamental source of Islam, one glorious history and very rich medieval literature.

The official penetration of some elements of Romanticism in Bosniak literature happened during the eighties of the 19th century, following the Austro- Hungarian occupation and the period of so-called deaf era in Bosniak literary creation. However, it would be wrong to conclude that the contribution of Bosniak tradition to the corpus of oral literature of South Slavic people might be analyzed only since the end of the 19th century. Actually, the Bosniak tradition has presented an indispensable part of the oral literary movements in the South Slavic area since it started being recorded, regardless of the fact that Bosniaks, as an Islamized Slavic ethnic group, were spiritually and culturally isolated from the Western European, basically Christian, cultural world during a few centuries of Ottoman rule over Bosnia. The current paper shows that it is not only thatBosniak oral literature, and with it Bosniak literature in general, existed in Ottoman period, but it also played an important role in the literary currents of the South Slavic folkloric Romanticism, thus making a contribution of Bosniak literature to the South Slavic inter-literary community significant.

The subject of interest in this paper is derived from the domain of the psychology of creativity. The objective of the study was to investigate the relationship between the degree of verbal creativity and school achievement of young school-age students, so that on the basis of the obtained results we might provide some guidelines as well as attempt to affect the creation of conditions for the detection, identification and development of creativity in young school-age students within regular school programs, extracurricular activities and activities outside of school. As research methods we applied the following: a method of document analysis, a descriptive-analytic survey method, while a survey and testing were used as the research techniques. The research instruments used in the study were a Questionnaire on Social/Family Background and Students’ School Performance – (SFBSSP) and a Test of Verbal Creativity. The research sample consisted of 88 young school-age students attending the third, fourth and fifth grade of nine-year long primary school, their 88 parents and 6 teachers. The results indicated that there is a correlation between the degree of verbal creativity, i.e. the overall score obtained on the Test of Verbal Creativity, including the points for both fluency and originality, and overall students’ academic achievement, but the results implied that there is no statistically significant difference between the scored points for originality and school achievement. The following conclusion was drawn: the students with the most original ideas are not excellent students.

No matter how insufficient it is to fully respect and accept others in accordance with one’s own system of references, tolerance is seen as a universal norm for existence and one of the main modes of human sociability. It is not the product of only one culture or a characteristic of only one, such as modern, epoch. Tolerance presents, mutatis mutandis, an important component of the spiritual and socio-cultural tissue of all developed nations with histories of their own. The idea of tolerance draws its roots from the ancient cultures. It has been modeled by the intuition of the Holy and the spirit of metaphysics while being permeated by their primordial religious meaning. This paper develops a discourse on tolerance as a perennial ideal, a universal norm and a relationship of fundamental importance to human existence. Tolerance is seen here as a key possibility and duty, a condition for as well as a form of the survival of contemporary people and their world.

This paper deals with teaching management of different learning styles students use in the EFL classroom. It explores various types of learning styles and it provides directions that can help EFL teachers in better understanding of various learning preferences and in responding to different types of learners. Different types of learners are also treated in this paper. In addition to theoretical explanations for every type of learner mentioned, different methods and approaches are incorporated, together with suggestions for activities suitable for particular learners. The last part of the paper is a study of Bosnian teenagers’ learning styles and their implication in teaching. The aim of the study was to investigate major learning styles of Sarajevo teenagers and how they affect their learning. The results and analysis of the study are presented at the end of this paper.

Classical Arabic philologists analyzed alif more than any other letter. In their works alif was analyzed in the context of its original function, as a sign for consonant hamza, but also as a long vowel sign, which lead to numerous studies and discussions. Given the fact that most of them focused on the analysis of alif as a sign for consonant hamza and that in the Orientalist literature we cannot find the works interpreting alif exclusively from the standpoint of its contemporary understanding (as a sign for a long vowel), the present paper aims at investigating the historical perspective of the dual function of alif, its contemporary terminological varieties in Arabic orthographies, its orthographic features and functions, as well as the modes of functioning on morpho-syntactic level.

According to the Qur’an and Hadith the Prophet of Allah, Muhammad, peace be upon him, is the most exceptional slave and Prophet of Allah, and his family presents the most exceptional family. Its value is being indicated directly and indirectly by the Qur’an verses as well as by the hadith of the Prophet of Allah, may Allah send blessings and peace upon him. The imperative of seeking the blessing for the Prophet of Allah, peace be upon him, implies also seeking the blessing for his family. The value of the Ahlul Bayt is also seen in the fact that the Prophet, peace be upon him, gave some hints that in the Last Era (Akhir Zaman), a man from his Ahlul Bayt, will be properly guided and given (mehdijj) to the Earth and all its inhabitants to reestablish the disturbed balance and harmony on it, which after being filled with injustice will be filled with justice. Some descendents of the Prophet, peace be upon him, his Ahlul Bayt, are not worthy of their origin. The moral believers who avoid sins and are afraid of Allah are members of his, peace be upon him, blessed family. The love for the Prophet’s, peace be upon him, family is a duty but it might have its opposite due to its disregard, and also its extreme due to the exaggeration.
