Shrimp and milkfish are the main commodities of aquaculture in ponds, which have considerable development potential in almost all coastal areas in Indonesia. Based on the description above, to revitalize ponds in the village of Muara Kintap, Kintap District, the research aims to analyze the efforts to revitalize the aquaculture ponds of vannamei shrimp (litopenaeus vannamei) and milkfish in a polyculture manner based on water quality analysis in the village of Muara Kintap, Kintap District, Tanah Laut Regency, South Kalimantan Province. Implementation is planned for June 2023, with the location of the research being in the community pond area of Muara Kintap Village, Resistant Laut District, South Kalimantan Province. Business revitalization of vannamei shrimp (litopenaeus vannamei) and milkfish aquaculture ponds in polyculture based on water quality analysis in Muara Kintap Village, Kintap District, Tanah Laut Regency, Kalimantan, obtained an average R/C ratio for traditional vannamei shrimp farming business, which is worth 3.19, which means the aquaculture business Traditionally polyculture vannamei shrimp is efficient in the use of business costs, because every 1 unit of currency (Rp. 3.19) issued as the cost of the vannamei shrimp farming business will provide business revenue, and based on the land suitability analysis resulting from the interpolation of all parameters it can be concluded that at the research location it was stated that it was suitable to very suitable. This study aims to determine the effect of amphipod density on the growth, survival and molting of mangrove crabs (Scylla tranquebarica).The research was conducted in the Installation of Tiger Shrimp Hatchery (ITSH), located Lawallu Village, Soppeng Riaja District, Barru Regency, South Sulawesi, from May to June 2022. There was 45 mangrove crabs, with an average weight of 0.04 ± 0.005 g and a carapace width of 5.4 ± 0.1 mm which were obtained from local hatcheries. The maintenance container is a glass jar containing 0.5 liters of water, each jar is filled with one crablet. The treatments tested were differences in amphipods density, namely: A) 20 ind/0.5 L, B) 30 ind/0.5 L, C) 40 ind/0.5 L, feeding frequency is once a day for first 10 days and twice a day at 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM for next 20 days. Parameters observed were growth weight (GW) and growth carapace width (GC), specific growth rate-weight (SGR-W) and specific growth carapace- width (SGR-C), survival rate (SR) and number of molting (NM). Using a completely randomized design with three treatments and three replications, each replication consisted of 5 crabs. Data were analyzed for variance and Duncan's further test, physical and chemical parameters of water were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that amphipod density had an effect on GW, GC, SGR-W and SGR-C, but had no effect on SR and NM. Amphipod densities of 20 - 40 ind/0.5 L produced good survival and a large number of molting, but amphipod densities of 30 ind/0.5 L were more efficient for the growth of mangrove crabs.

Until now, the nutritional needs of larvae have only been partially identified and much is still unknown. The nutritional needs of climbing perch larvae after the yolk has been absorbed requires a comprehensive study. The research took place at the Wet Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Achmad Yani University.The objective of this research was to study about climbing perch (Anabas testudineus Bloch) larvae viability on removal of exogenous food by distribution of dissolved organic matter from fermentation of chicken waste. Completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 6 replicates was used in this research. Application dissolved organic matter was 250 mL/aquaria (A), 500 mL/aquaria (B), 750 mL/aquaria (C), and without dissolved organic matter (D). The data is analyzed using analysis of variance (Anova), and Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT). Larvae survival rate for all treatments was very low. Each reached 0% in days 9 and 10 for treatment A and B. For treatment C and D in day 8. Anova result indicated that dissolved organic matter had significant effect (P<0.05) to absolute growth of larvae. DMRT test showed that each treatment had significant difference, except treatment C to D had no difference. The best growth for this research was treatment B.

Aim: To evaluate the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) concentrations in fresh and smoked Clarias geriepinus. Study Design: Fifty numbers of fresh Clarias geriepinus which range in weight between 200.5g and 655.2g were collected from selected clustered farmers and categorized based on their weight into five groups. The tissues were collected from each fresh fish for analysis of PAHs before smoking. Place and Duration of Study: The sampled fish were collected from government assisted clustered fish farm estate. The analyses for PAHs were conducted for two weeks in year 2022 at the central laboratory of Nigeria Institute for Oceanography and Marine Research Methodology: The laboratory procedures and analyses for the detection of sixteen PAHs in the muscles of fresh and smoked on each five grouped of C. geriepinus were carried out using Gas Chromatography (Model HP 6890A). Results: The results shows presence of PAHs in both locally smoked and fresh Clarias geriepinus therefore, there is no significant difference in the means concentrations of PAHs in both tissues but significant difference occurs (p=.05) in the grouped smoked fish with Indeno (1, 2, 3-c, d) Pyrene mean concentrations higher in both fresh and smoked fish. Conclusion: PAHs concentrations from both fresh and smoked C. geriepinus muscles are below the FAO/WHO threshold limit. It is therefore safe for human consumption but a gas or electric powered smoking kiln is hereby recommended to prevent further accumulation of PAHs in smoked fish which could be carcinogenic to human consumers.

Background and Objectives: Antimicrobial agent use in pisciculture exerts a selective pressure, resulting in a reservoirs of extended spectrum beta-lactamase producing Escherichia coli in the aquatic environment. Here we screened pisciculture and fish parts as non-clinical source of CTX-M and TEM Extended Spectrum Beta-lactamases (ESBL) producing Escherichia coli in Southeastern Nigeria Methodology: A total of sixty fish parts [fish gills, body part and intestinal swab samples] were collected from pisciculture farm A, C, F and G within Abakaliki metropolis. The samples were bacteriologically analyzed using standard microbiological techniques for isolation and identification. ESBL enzymes were phenotypically detected in E. coli, isolates using the double disk diffusion technique. The presence of TEM and CTX-M genes was determined by polymerase chain reaction using specific primers. Results: Escherichia coli and Extended spectrum beta-lactamase producing Escherichia coli accounted for overall occurrence rate of 27(45.0 %) and 17(28.3 %) respectively. There was no statistically significant difference in the occurrence of Escherichia coli and ESBL-E. coli among the different samples P>0.05. The presence of TEM and CTX-M gene 80 % and 100 % respectively were confirmed among the isolates. Conclusion: Our findings reports the presence of ESBL gene in pisciculture and fish parts and it is important in understanding the mechanism of resistance operating in these common pathogens, which are also endemic in most pisciculture area. Strict rules and monitoring/surveillance of antimicrobial agent used in pisciculture activities combined with food safety training of farmer owners/breeders on various aspects of good hygiene practices are strongly recommended.

The current compliance condition of the Fish Processing Unit in the City of Banjarmasin was reviewed for 3 shrimp freezing companies based on the Indonesian Business Field Standard Classification standard (KBLI 10293). The aim of the study was to analyze the compliance level of the frozen shrimp industry in Banjarmasin City, South Kalimantan compared with the Indonesian field standard classification (KBLI 10293). This research was conducted in three shrimp freezing industries in the City of Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, namely: PT. Kalimantan Fisheries, PT. Wirontono Baru and PT. Yubel Utama Seafood Indonesia (YUSI). To answer the research objectives, the data analysis technique was used a percentage descriptive analysis whose assessment refers to the Marine Fisheries Government Number 6 of 2021, which is to systematically describe facts or characteristics of the field population specifically and factually from the data that has been collected. Descriptive analysis of percentages was carried out by measuring research variables using the Likert's scale for measuring data in the form of social or individual characteristics when conducting questions and answers in the field presented in the form of a questionnaire. The compliance level of the frozen shrimp industry in Banjarmasin City, South Kalimantan based on the Likert't scale criteria. Also, the total compliance level of the frozen shrimp industry in Banjarmasin City, South Kalimantan was very obedient (83-86%) based on the KBLI, 10293 Compliance assessment criteria.

To answer the research objectives, the data analysis technique was used a percentage descriptive analysis whose assessment refers to the Marine Fisheries Government Number 6 of 2021, which is to systematically describe facts or characteristics of the field population specifically and factually from the data that has been collected. Descriptive analysis of percentages was carried out by measuring research variables using the Likert's scale for measuring data in the form of social or individual characteristics when conducting questions and answers in the field presented in the form of a questionnaire. The compliance level of the frozen shrimp industry in Banjarmasin City, South Kalimantan based on the Likert't scale criteria. Cultivators also have problems, namely reduced profits each time they harvest compared to previous years. The aim of the study was to analyze the benefits and feasibility of cultivating tilapia in floating net cages in Barito Kuala Regency, South Kalimantan. This research was conducted in Marabahan District, City of Barito Kuala Regency, cultivating fish in floating net cages. The study used 2 respondents who were given floating net cage loan assistance from the government, but 1 respondent for feed and seeds came from their own funds. Tilapia aquaculture in floating net cages is said to be profitable if the revenue value is greater than the total expenditure. To analyze the feasibility of investing in floating net tilapia aquaculture in Barito Kuala district, calculations on investment criteria are used which include Net Present Value (NPV), Net Benefit Ratio (NBCR), and Internal Rate of Return (IRR). The results of the analysis of the calculation of profit (π) for tilapia cage business can be stated that the tilapia cage business of the two managers each generates profits in 3 (three) study periods, marked by the criteria TR > TC where the total business revenue is greater than the total costs incurred. issued for production. The results of the financial feasibility analysis of tilapia cage business from 2 (two) managers stated that they had met the business feasibility criteria in 3 (three) study periods. This study aims to see the relationship between the level of knowledge, product quality, and price of biodegradable tote bag products from seaweed carrageenan (Eucheuma cottoni) on purchasing decisions so that product improvements and modifications can be made. The research was conducted in Cibinong District, Bogor Regency as a general segmentation, and in Jatinangor District, Sumedang Regency as a student segmentation. This study used quantitative descriptive method with spearman rank correlation test. Samples were taken using purposive sampling techniques as many as 80 respondents. Based on the results of research on the consumer characteristics of biodegradable tote bags, which are dominated by women with an age range of 21-25 years, types of student work with income levels > IDR 1,000,000, have used tote bags with intensity of use every month and from fabric. The results of the spearman rank correlation test were obtained for the level of knowledge, product quality, and product price, namely 0.538, 0.474, and 0.505. Product quality and product price have a strong relationship with the purchase decision of biodegradable tote bags from seaweed carrageenan (Eucheuma cottoni). Meanwhile, the level of knowledge has a strong relationship to the decision to purchase biodegradable tote bags from seaweed carrageenan (Eucheuma cottoni).

Fish cultivators with catfish farming business conditions so far use a combination of commercial feed and alternative feed, and the sensitivity is also calculated if the catfish cultivator uses all commercial feed whether the business is still feasible, so that the contribution of alternative feeds to catfish farming can be known. The aim of this research is to analyze the contribution of using alternative feeds in the catfish business in Labuan Tabu Village, Banjar Regency. This research was conducted in Labuan Tabu Village, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan Province. Determination of respondents in this study were taken from catfish cultivators in Labuan Tabu Village, Banjar Regency, as many as 3 people. A major issue nowadays is aquatic contamination by heavy metals like Chromium as a result of industrial, agricultural and domestic activities and cause threat to the aquatic ecosystem. This study's objective was to evaluate the toxicological effects of chromium (VI) in freshwater food fish, Channa punctatus. For the experiment, a medium-sized fish (10 ± 2 cm, 30 ± 5 g) was collected from local aquatic habitat and acclimatised in a lab under controlled conditions. There were one control and three exposed groups having different sublethal concentrations of chromium (LC50/5 = 15.378 mg/l, LC50/10 = 7.689 mg/l, and LC50/20 = 3.844 mg/l). Fish sacrificed to create slides after the desired duration. Compared to control, fish exposed to different subletal concentrations showed substantial alterations in their gonads. The highest adverse effects were seen in the ovary and testes in group 4 (LC50/5) compared to the lower in group 2 (LC50/20) in contrast to the control (group 1), Large intrafollicular gaps and nuclear membrane rupture in stage IInd oocytes were seen in the ovary, whereas intralobular edoema, disruption of the germinal epithelium, and severe vacuolization were recorded in the testes. According to the findings of the current research, chromium (VI) has a negative impact on fish reproductive tissue and disturbs ecological balances.
