A Hadoop Based Weblog Analysis System 基于Hadoop的博客分析系统

In recent years, cloud computing has been an important issue in the field of research. Cloud computing employs distributed storage and distributed computing technology to achieve a large number of stored data, as well as fast data analysis and processing. As the rapid development of Internet technology, digital data showing explosive growth, the face of massive data processing, the traditional text software and relational database technology has been facing a bottleneck, presented the results are not very satisfactory. For this problem, the concept of cloud computing is a more appropriate choice. In this paper, based on the architecture of Hadoop with HDFS (Hadoop Distributed File System) and Hadoop MapReduce software framework and Pig Latin language, we design and implement an enterprise Web log analysis system. Experimental results, by analyzing daily Web log records, we get Application Server traffic trends, performance of program statistical reports, and performance reports of different intervals and different actions of program by user request. The main purpose of this system is to assist system administrators to quickly capture and analyze data hidden in the massive potential value, thus providing an important basis for business decisions.

An Image Inpainting Method for Stereoscopic Images Based on Hole Classification 一种基于孔分类的立体图像补图方法

This paper proposes a image in painting method for stereoscopic images based on hole-classification. The stereoscopic image pairs and their depth map images are generated by left and right shifting the original image according to its corresponding depth information. The generated left and right image may have disocclued areas or holes in the image after shifting operation. In this paper, disocclued areas or holes are classified into three type, gradient, clear-cut and layer and three different filling routes and filling methods are adopted according to these three types of holes. From the experimental results, it is proved that holes maybe mistakenly filled have been in painted with better corrections, in the meantime, in painted image becomes more natural and closer to the reality when it is viewed.

Evolving the power grid towards the next generation is paving the way for the Smart Grid, characterized by bidirectional flows for energy and information. This paper provides a numerical analysis on the usage of two wireless access technologies (namely WiFi and LTE) to support metering and monitoring services for the Smart Home environment.

The Differences between Self-Organized Group and Designated Group for Cooperative Learning 合作学习中自组织小组与指定小组的差异

The literatures have indicated that cooperative learning facilitates enhancing learning performance, which focuses on (1) the interaction and the collaboration between grouping members, and (2) one member helping other members to be successful. The literatures have shown that the grouping organization is a critical issue for promoting learning achievement in cooperative learning. To evaluate the differences between the self-organized groups and the designated groups, this paper has conducted a serial of experiments and assessments to study the differences of learning performance, participation and satisfaction degree. In the self-organized groups the grouping members are decided by the grouping members, whereas the grouping members in the designated group are composited of the considering conditions. The experiment have demonstrated that the learning achievement of the designated group is high than the self-organized group. For the participation and the satisfaction degree of the curriculum, the self-organized group is high than the designated group.

Supporting Online Reading of Science Expository with iRuns Annotation Strategy 用irun注释策略支持科学说明文的在线阅读

The purposes of this study were two folds. First was to design three strategies to help elementary school children reading science expositories online with the supports of an annotation system. The "iRuns" strategies were proposed based on the SOI model of Reading expository text [1] to include (1)"underline" for selecting main ideas, (2)"annotation for connection" to organize important ideas and (3)"summary" for integrating multiple concepts. Then a field study was conducted to explore whether students efficiently adopted iRuns strategies and achieved comprehension on earth science materials. A total of 55 5th and 6th graders from an elementary school participated a 8-week reading club. A plug-in annotation system (COM2ANNO) developed by Huang et al. [2] was adopdeted. Students' underlying, annotation and summary efficiencies were rated more favorable if they hit more main ideas. The results showed that iRuns strategy efficiencies decreased slightly across multiple time points and the high reading ability students' three annotation efficiencies were always better than the low ones. The gaps of iRun strategy efficiencies between high and low reading ability groups was gradually getting closer through series of instruction. Low ability students' strategy efficiencies correlated with comprehension score significantly but the high ones didn't. It indicated that low reading ability students benefited greatly from the iRuns strategies instruction. The annotation efficiecy was affected by using different types of annotating method (type vs. Copy-paste). Typing resulted in shorter annotations while copy-pasting produced better quality of annotation which demonstrated more highly relevant main ideas selected across texts.

A Multimedia Distance Language Assessment System for Preschoolers with Autism Spectrum Disorder: A System Design 学龄前自闭症谱系障碍儿童多媒体远程语言评估系统设计

This study intends to design a distance assessment system for preschool kids with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This system is an improvement of the past system that was used in previous research. For the demand of future research and the increasing size of the sample size, the technical challenges, occurred in the past system that associated with internet problems, have to be solved. The limitation of the resources such as professionals in special education (teachers), time, space, and cost will be considered in designing this system. Moreover, the need of distance assessment for prescreening children with ASD also related to the difficulties for ASD kids to get used to a new environment such as early invention center, school, and hospital. This study will focus on overcoming the technical challenges associated with the internet-based transmission to provide the option of taking tests remotely and to broaden the application of the assessment. Therefore, this paper has designed a distance system that use cloud server system to solve the limitation of server storage and slow Internet connection. Webcam function also is included to direct and instruct the students in conducting the assessment and teacher can record whole assessment progress to collect the data.

A Multimedia Parallel Processing Approach on GPU MapReduce Framework 基于GPU MapReduce框架的多媒体并行处理方法

At present, most of the GPU MapReduce frameworks are based on single multimedia processing program, and cannot be used to handle multiple multimedia processing programs simultaneously. The service needs for multiple multimedia processing programs can only be satisfied by sequencing, which lacks efficient data segmentation and resource scheduling management. As a result, the hardware efficiency is reduced under the multiple multimedia processing programs. Based on the existing MapReduce framework of GPU, Mars, this study designed a parallel processing mechanism for multiple multimedia processing programs. According to the processing needs of current multimedia processing programs, hardware resources demand, and data processing capacity, the proposed mechanism segments the large quantity of data produced by multiple multimedia processing programs, and transmits the suitable work load segments according to the hardware loading capacity for further processing. This study uses the multimedia processing program, which is commonly used for MapReduce framework computation, as the experimental work load, and treats the execution time as the index for the efficiency improvement. The results suggest that the average processing speed under the proposed mechanism is improved by 1.3 times.

The Virtual Laboratories Case Study in Traditional Teaching and E-Learning for Engineering Sciences 工程科学传统教学与电子学习中的虚拟实验室案例研究

This paper leads on the case study of virtual laboratories for engineering sciences. The engineering education is most costly direction of education system. A quality of engineering strong depends on the laboratory base of university. To build new laboratories for teaching and learning of engineering sciences were one of the high cost projects. The development of computer technique helps to us to create virtual version of real engineering laboratories and use for teaching. The Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST) is fundamental university for engineering sciences in Mongolia. The development of country much depends on quality of engineers. The MUST has challenge to provide expectations of students and further engineers. To support faculty and students by well-developed modern teaching and learning environment the MUST implementing many new ideas in teaching of engineering sciences. Many schools of MUST are active works on the development of virtual laboratory and e-learning for classical teaching. By decision scientific commission of Power Engineering School in 2010 was accepted project to create and use virtual laboratories for traditional teaching and e-learning. In frame of this project was created six single models of different professionals. In this paper we described main standard of virtual laboratories and problems and solutions to create virtual laboratories.
本文以工程科学领域的虚拟实验室为例进行了研究。工程教育是教育体系中最昂贵的方向。工科人才素质的提高,取决于高校的实验基础。建设新的工程科学教学实验室是一项高成本工程。计算机技术的发展有助于我们创建虚拟版的真实工程实验室并用于教学。蒙古科技大学(MUST)是蒙古国工科基础大学。国家的发展在很大程度上取决于工程师的素质。MUST面临着满足学生和未来工程师期望的挑战。以完善的现代化教学环境为支撑,科大在工程科学教学中实施了许多新理念。许多科大学校都在积极开展虚拟实验室和古典教学的电子学习。2010年,由动力工程学院决策科学委员会批准了创建和使用虚拟实验室进行传统教学和电子学习的项目。在这个项目的框架内,创建了六个不同专业的单一模型。本文介绍了虚拟实验室的主要标准以及创建虚拟实验室存在的问题和解决方法。

Computer Model for Disguishing Asian People by Face 用电脑模型伪装亚洲人的脸

In this paper we aim to create new effective computer model for distinguishing Asian people by their face using frontal face part color, size and distances based on comparative research about image processing and face recognition. It is difficult to determine face part size and distance due to image quality, lighting condition, rotation angle and facial emotion. Hence, first we need to detect face on the image then convert image into real input. After that we can determine image candidate's gender, face shape, key points and face parts. Finally, we will return the result, based on comparison of sizes and distances with the sample's measurement table database. While we were measuring samples, there were big differences between images by their gender and face shapes. Input images must be the frontal face image that has smooth lighting and does not have any rotation angel. The model can be used in military, police, defense, health care, and technology sectors.

Collaborative Virtualization-Based Experimentation in Teaching Networking Concepts 基于协作虚拟化的网络概念教学实验

Regular computer networking courses normally include individual laboratory tasks for each student, because the course's main objectives require that each student have the ability to manage all network equipments as an administrator. However, this approach still suffers the limitation of an insufficient amount of equipment in laboratory classes. We applied collaborative virtualization-based experimentation (CVE) in this study to avoid this limitation. CVE enables students to do networking assignments such as connecting, design, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting using the Linux OS on a group of virtual machines (VMs) connected to a single server. Collaborative tasks for laboratory assignments in CVE have the following rules: 1) each student manages and configures one VM, 2) students can establish laboratory network setups by connecting with other group members' VMs, and 3) students can communicate with others via online synchronous discussion (OSD). The students in the experiment were divided into a control group and an experimental group. The experimental group performed their laboratory assignments using CVE, whereas the control group completed the same assignments on VMs that were installed on their personal computers. The results show that the experimental group significantly outperformed the control group in the last two homework assignments and the second post-test. In addition, the experimental group's activities were better than those of the control group, based on the total average of the command count per laboratory. Finally, the analysis of the questionnaire data of the experimental group reveals that CVE was helpful during and after the laboratory class, including when the students performed laboratory assignments.
