Now a day's Recommender Systems (RS) have become predominant in Internet of Things (IoT), Online Social Networks (OSN) and Social Internet of Things (SIoT). Sybil attack is an attack where malicious users suppress opinions of honest users by creating fake identities called Sybils. Sybil attacks are prevalent in wireless sensor networks, online social networks, Peer to Peer networks and mobile networks. In this paper survey various types of Sybil attacks which are based on behavior of attacker. This paper also surveys different types of current Sybil defense protocols like SybilGuard, SybilLimit, SybilDefender, SybilInfer, SybilShield, and SyMon to defend against the Sybil attack.

Cooperative Network is becoming an interesting topic in the emerging networking technologies characterized by its self-reliant behaviour. It deals with different nodes: the source nodes relay nodes and the destination node, in a resource-constrained network cooperating with each other to improve the overall network performance. Whatever the protocols for communication are used it should satisfy the basic two goals: 1) it should be able to increase communication rates across the network and 2) communication reliability in the networks should be improved. The proposed DEPL- Delay and Energy efficient Locality based routing protocol with its random behaviour not only satisfies the above mentioned goals but also focuses on improving the overall network lifetime with minimal overhead. This proposed DEPL routing protocol is proven to be efficient in comparison with the existing deterministic routing protocols.

Power oscillations occur in a transmission line due to various transients affect distance relay characteristics and may result in relay mal-operation. This paper presents new approach to damp out the power oscillation as early as possible by using power system stabilizer. Due to early damp out oscillations, no much variation is seen in the measured apparent impedance at relay location and it could not enter the relay tripping zone and prevent the distance relay mal-operation during power swing. To explain the affectivity of the proposed scheme, the simulation was conducted on IEEE 9 bus system using PSCAD/EMTDC software. The results shows comparison between change in load angle, speed and power swing with and without PSS when 3 phase fault is created in bus number 5 of IEEE 9 bus system. In addition to that multi-resolution based haar wavelet transform is used to decompose the analyzed signal into different frequency band and analysis the energy level in both cases. The technique includes separation and reformation of the faulted signal to extract the low - frequency component of the signals. With this new feature, make numerical relay more effective and more reliable in case of power swing.

Photoplethysmography(PPG) signals provide a valuable insight to the cardiac functioning non-invasively. Analysis of PPG signals is of great challenge as the Finger PPG sensors are subjected to various noises like motion artifact, noises from the ambient sunlight and also flow of blood in the terminal arterioles. To obtain the reliable measures from PPG signals, filtering the PPG signal from various noises becomes important. Various methods such as periodic moving average filter, SVD method, Wavelet Filters, FFT Filter, Adaptive Filters, have been proposed to remove motion artifact of PPG signals by various authors. All the filtering methods are carried out individually as a signal processing application. It would be helpful to compare the different filtering methods if all this filtering method are done under single GUI, this also helps the researcher to filter the motion artifact in the PPG signals with ease. In this work a code has been written in MATLAB for different filtering methods such as periodic moving average filter, SVD method, Wavelet Filters, FFT Filter and Adaptive Filters. The different filtering methods have been compared using SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) values. The SNR values of SVD and AS-LMS algorithm were 2.24 and 2.39 respectively and were found to be the best signal processing methods for removal of motion artifacts in PPG signals. This new GUI has been conceived for filtering PPG signals using different signal processing methods and in making the filtering process more users friendly.

Sharing data in a secure manner is a key factor in the aspect of data storage. In this project we propose a new system called key aggregate cryptosystem (KAC), which produces constant size aggregate key for efficient data sharing, instead of sharing multiple keys for multiple files. This avoids the need to decrypt the shared files with multiple keys. The user encrypts the file using secret key before uploading. While sharing, the KAC system generates a single aggregate key and using this aggregate key the receiver decrypts and downloads multiple cipher text without increasing its size. Usage of this aggregate key has an additional advantage that it requires less memory space.

Without vision the human life becomes miserable. The technology should be able to help the people who are having impaired vision to live life as normal human beings. So many navigation aids to such people have been evolved which normally uses only GPS. But GPS satellite signals can't be reached inside the Indore environment, because the waves will be attenuated by structures such as rooftops. Inertial Navigation system (INS) has been used here to overcome this problem. INS is self-dependent which doesn't require any external satellite signals. A speech recognition system is provided to select the location where he wants to go which are predefined and stored. Doppler range finder determines the range between the front obstructing object and the person. As the person moves towards the object the INS gets updated and finds the remaining range. Two vibration motors attached to the person arm will activated based on condition. If he has to take left turn left arm motor will be activated and vice versa. For straight path both motors attached to shoulders will be vibrated. The amplitude of the vibration depends upon the distance between the obstacle object and person.

Persistent increase in population of world is demanding more and more supply of food. Hence there is a significant need of advancement in cultivation to meet up the future food needs. It is important to know moisture levels in soil to maximize the output. But most of farmers cannot afford high cost devices to measure soil moisture. Our research work in this paper focuses on home-made low cost moisture sensor with accuracy. In this paper we present a method to manufacture soil moisture sensor to estimate moisture content in soil hence by providing information about required water supply for good cultivation. This sensor is tested with several samples of soil and able to meet considerable accuracy. Measuring soil moisture is an effective way to determine condition of soil and get information about the quantity of water that need to be supplied for cultivation. Two separate methods are illustrated in this paper to determine soil moisture over an area and along the depth.

Exponential advancement in technology has led to the development of complex digital systems, which has made them more error prone. Conventional verification techniques lacks flexibility of verification environment and are inefficient to balance between market demands and time to market. Universal Verification Methodology (UVM), a System Verilog (SV) based methodology helps to create robust and reusable verification environment. In this work, we present an efficient SV-UVM framework for the verification of Serial Gigabit Media Independent Interface (SGMII) IP core, a single lane 1.25 Gbps data rate interface between Ethernet Media Access Control (MAC) and Physical (PHY) layer. The core has an AMBA AXI (Advanced eXtensible Interface) master interface to access the register space of the IP. UVM Verification Component (UVC) of AXI to WB (Wishbone) bridge is reused in the verification of SGMII core for the configuration of several registers in the core which is WB compatible. All simulations are done in NCsim and waveforms are analysed using Simvision. The coverage analysis is done using Incisive Metrics Center (IMC).
