[Safety and Effectiveness of NEPTIS Plug-01 and Florbetapir (18F) in Daily Clinical Setting: Based on the Post-Marketing Surveillance Study]. [NEPTIS Plug-01和Florbetapir (18F)在日常临床环境中的安全性和有效性:基于上市后监测研究]。

OBJECTIVE Obtaining the information on safety and effectiveness of radiopharmaceutical synthesizer NEPTIS plug - 01 and florbetapir (18F) injection solution synthesized by NEPTIS plug - 01 from the post marketing surveillance study. METHODS Regarding the safety evaluation, failure of device and adverse events were recorded. Regarding the effectiveness evaluation, we assessed the quality of PET images and the impact on the clinical diagnosis. RESULT During the study period, 12 patients were enrolled. No adverse event was reported from those 12 patients. Two events in 2 patients were reported as a failure of device (In a subsequent investigation, those failures were thought to be caused by inadequacy of procedure manual, which has been revised now). For the quality of PET images, all 12 cases were "good" or "excellent", regardless of the positive or negative of amyloid plaque. The attending physician's diagnosis was changed in 9 patients following the PET imaging. CONCLUSION NEPTIS plug-01 and florbetapir (18F) were safe and has a favorable effectiveness profile in 12 patients under daily clinical setting.

Women physicians, scientists and nurses are addressing many problems encountered in the practice of their chosen fields. We carried out a survey of the women working in the nuclear medicine field. Two hundred and six professionals answered this questionnaire. The findings of our survey were that we have many female bosses (experts), a low number of sexual harassment issues and enough parental leave. Many members work very hard to practice in this field, but they do not have enough support from their hospitals or research centers, to join medical conferences. And almost a quarter of those surveyed thought it is hard to improve their careers after taking parental leave. A change of perception in how their male colleagues and counterparts regard women in the field of nuclear medicine is required. This change, along with women having a clear and realistic career plan are fundamental answers to the issues faced by women in nuclear medicine.

[Effectiveness of Strontium-89 for Neuropathic Pain Caused by Bone Metastases from Breast Cancer: A Case Report]. [锶-89治疗乳腺癌骨转移性神经性疼痛1例报告]。

The patient was a 47-year-old female with stage IV breast cancer and multiple bone metastases. She received various systemic therapies (hormone therapy and chemotherapy) and underwent mastectomy between 2013 and 2018; in the beginning of 2018, she started experiencing bone metastatic pain in the right hip joint and neural pain on the dorsal side of the left thigh. These symptoms worsened gradually, and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory analgesics or narcotic analgesics were not effective for treating this pain. Strontium-89 (89Sr) treatment was administered in April 2018. The pain was relieved immediately after 89Sr treatment. The patient's quality of life improved markedly. She spent her remaining life without using analgesic drugs, until she died in October 2018 due to exacerbation of the original disease. Although radiotherapy is believed to be less effective for neuropathic pain than for bone metastatic pain, it should be considered as a treatment option in patients with neuropathic pain.
