A Scrutiny on the Burnout Levels of Fencing Referees 击剑裁判员职业倦怠水平的研究

The objective of this study is to measure and interpret the burnout levels of the fencing referees who act in the fencing contests in our country as referees actively. The study group is constituted by the 60 referees with varying refereeing levels taking place on the Certified Referees List 2018 of the Turkish Fencing Federation. The Maslach Burnout Inventory developed by Maslach and Jackson (1981) and adapted into Turkish conducting a study on its reliability and validity by Ergin (1992) was used in this study conducted on the basis of the survey model. In the evaluation of the data and determination of the calculated values, SPSS 16.0 statistics package program was used. The data was summarized by providing the percentages, averages, and standard deviations. As the data distributed normally, an independent group t test was used for the pairwise cluster comparisons and One Way Variance Analysis (ANOVA) was used for the multiple cluster comparisons. Tukey HSD multiple comparison test was conducted to determine the significant differences as a result of the ANOVA. The scale reliability coefficient was calculated as .82 and significance level was taken into account as 0.05 in this study. In conclusion, it was observed that the variables of ages, income and education statuses, sportsperson ship background, and material revenues obtained from acting as referees did not differentiate statistically and statistically significant differences were determined in terms of the variables of refereeing experience period, refereeing level, and the number of the annually received assignments, in the personal success subcategory.

Four Reasons: The Garden and His Double 四个理由:花园和他的替身

Analysis of an experimental educational methodology aimed at professional development in the field of visual arts. For this, it is based on the experimental and expository proposal consisting of the use of site-specific sculpture as a creative and methodological strategy for the exploration of the line of own research of students of plastic arts degree and predoctoral postgraduates. The selection of the students/artists was made based on the creative research lines they develop, examples of works that start from considering the sculptural as intrinsically related to the environment, and more specifically with the natural environment from a phenomenological and structural point of view in terms of artistic experience; and also, from a point of view of sculptural linguistic research based on the Kraussian foundations of the expanded sculptural field that formally arise from a Piaget ́s group. On the other hand, the exhibition proposal is intended as a framework for deepening production and artistic diffusion oriented to immersion in a professional experience in which all aspects of the creative process can be addressed, from the mere idea to dissemination through from different means of artistic work, so that the training obtained by the artists/students is holistic in terms of the professional field of visual arts.

Mobbıng Perception of Employee Personnel in Non-Seated Sports Federations Mobbıng对非座席体育联合会员工的看法

This study was conducted to determine the mobbing perception of the staff working in independent sports federations in Turkey. The population of the research was staffed by independent sports federations in Turkey, and the representative samples consisted of 251 employees selected from this population by random sample (Random) method. In this research, the personal information form developed by the researcher was used in order to reach demographic information as a means of data collection whereas the Negative Acts Questionnaire (NAQ) which was developed by Einarsen and Raknes (1997) and was adapted by Cemaloğlu (2007) was used to measure mobbing perception. In this study, it was put forward that the scores of “social relationship subscale” are differing significantly depending on “gender” and this difference is caused by “female” participants and participants with “9 ≥ year” working time have less score on “task” subscale than other two groups whereas participants with “2000 ≤ TL” monthly income of have been found to have higher scores on the “task” and “social relationship” subscale than the other two groups. Besides, when checked the scores of marital status, age, education level and working year variables in the federation’s, “social relation” and “task”subdimensions, it was noticed that these variebles were not determinant on the perception of mobbing of Independent Sports Federations employees.

Delayed Start of Lessons; a Pilot Research Study 推迟上课;试点研究

. Within the scope of a Special Interest Group (SIG) initiative by the Professional Development Unit (PDU) at Middle East Technical University-Northern Cyprus Campus, School of Foreign Languages (METU-NCC, SFL), a group decided to focus on the issue of sleep and its effect on academic success and drop-out rates among students. The group felt the root cause of the problem should be investigated, and then, it could come up with ways to help students avoid failure and reduce the risk of dropping out. Scientific study has shown that young adults experience a change in their body clock due to the natural process of human development. (Crowley et al., 2007) In addition to the natural shift in sleeping patterns of young adults, there is a sleep Delayed Sleep Phase Disorder (DSPD) in which the body clock remains permanently delayed (Gradisar & Crowley, 2013). It is estimated that about 1% of adults suffer from this serious condition, which can require medical and psychological intervention to reverse. Some studies have shown that DSPD has a higher rate among young adults, with some researchers claiming the rate can be between 10-15% (Gradisar & Crowley, 2013). In our context, that means two or three students in each class could be suffering sleep deprivation which impairs their chances of performing academically. Possible solutions were presented to the SFL Academic Board, and, delayed start of lessons with one group was piloted with seemingly positive results presented in this paper. The findings provide a basis for further investigation into the connection between sleep and academic success.

Research on Satisfaction Level of University Students from Social and Sportive Activities Providen in the University Environment 大学生对大学社会与体育活动的满意度研究

Research was carried out for the purpose of determination of satisfaction of university students from social and sportive activities provided by their universities. Research is a survey screening type of research. Universe of the research is central campus of Mehmet Akif Ersoy University of Burdur and its population is 800 students who were selected randomly and who study at different units located in this campus. In this study, data were acquired by survey method. A purpose-oriented survey was developed. Understandability, validness of the scope and reliability of the survey were established. Cronbach’s Alpha Reliability Coefficient of the survey was found to be 0,89. Survey was applied to sample group by making one on one interviews with random sampling method. Survey was answered by 800 students in total, being 424 women and 376 men. Frequency (%), Crosstabs and Chi Square (χ) tests were made as statistical procedure. 0,05 was accepted as confidence interval in determination of differences between variables. As a result of obtained data; we can suggest that participants were mainly satisfied from social and sportive activities provided in the university environment within the scope of the research, however, women were more satisfied in social activities compared to men and men were more satisfied in sportive activities compared to women.

The aim of this study is to determine the attitudes of the sports science faculty students with pedagogical formation training towards the teaching profession and to make a comparison based on some characteristics. The research was conducted as a survey model. The research group was comprised of 353 students, who were attending to the Faculty of Sports Sciences in Erciyes University during 2018-2019 education year and who received pedagogical formation training. The research data were collected using the “Attitude Scale for the Profession of Physical Education Teaching”. SPSS program was used in the analysis of the data. According to the results of the study, the attitudes of the sports science faculty students with pedagogical formation training towards the profession of teaching were determined to be at "medium level". Additionally, there was statistically no significant difference in the attitudes of the students in the research group towards the teaching profession concerning variables such as gender, age, active participation in sports, grade point average, and grade levels; but there was a statistically significant difference concerning the department and sport branch.

The Struggles Experienced by First Year Computer Programming Students at a University in South Africa 南非一所大学计算机编程一年级学生的奋斗经历

The highest rate of student attrition usually occurs in the first year at university where a large quantity of students either fail or drop out. The high attrition rate can be accounted to a number of determinants. In this paper we investigate what these determinants could be. A questionnaire was given to 114 first year students studying the Diploma Business Information Technology at the University of Johannesburg in South Africa. The study was quantitative. The results show that the contributing factors to computer programming students struggling in their first year of study, can be deemed to be the transition of students from high school to university, English being a student’s second language (ESL) rather than first language, the difficulty of the subject computer programming, and Information Technology (IT) not being a student’s first study choice.

Acceptability of online facilitation in National Open University of Nigeria 尼日利亚国立开放大学在线便利的可接受性

Lifelong learning is a form of adult education that is self-directed, self-paced and selfstudy learning which occur outside the formal school system. In this type of education, there is no limit to age, no significance to the notion of success and failure. Lifelong is both marketdriven and demand driven, individual, government and organisations need it for various reasons. According to Wikipedia (2019) the free Encyclopedia, it does not only enhances social inclusion, active citizenship, and personal development, but also selfsustainability, as well as competitiveness and employability. It is a way of life and it is also continuous this is why some people refer to it as life wide. Lifelong learning will continue to be relevant as long as man lives and as long as development occurs, aspirations and desire will always necessitate its demand. Lifelong learning as stated by Okediran & Sarumi (2001) was perceived as an alternative means to the failures and lapses of the traditional school system in the past but today necessities demand by development and complexities of the twenty-first century, increased longevity, global warming, information explosion and insecurity to mention a few account for the unending demand and relevance of the concept. All aspects of traditional African education are non-formal in nature, they take place outside the four walls of the classroom. Learners in lifelong learning ranges from out-of-school to individuals to people with degree qualifications who desire new placement in their jobs, higher-paying occupations, life fulfilment, inclusion in community programmes, interests in new areas completely (Javis, 2008). Okenimkpe (2003) opined that adult learners by nature have self-concept, they have wealth of experience and have the motivation to continue learning in order to meet up with expectations and aspirations. He added that some of them might have been experiencing some symptoms of aging like decreasing speed of reaction, decreasing vision, decreasing hearing and emergence of some minor health issues which may be either as a result of a person’s way of life or heredity. This may hinder their performances in some ways if not well controlled. Online facilitation seems to be the way out for learners as it gives them the opportunity to showcase their ideas and experience during discussions. This mode of teaching is friendlier than the traditional mode that everybody is used to, the moderator is usually liberal, attentive, impartial, patient and affirmative.
