The harmful elements monitoring, particularly Cd, have become important for environmental protection. Very low concentrations of Cd in dry matter of plant tissues were found under non-polluted environment of the eastern Croatia. With that regard, differences were found in maize leaves as affected by soil type (averages of ten hybrids) from 0.09 and 0.14 ppm Cd, for acid and neutral soil (pH in KCl 4.10 and 6.81), as well as among genotypes from 0.07 to 0.18 ppm Cd. Grain-Cd in maize were considerably lower and below detection limit (<0.02 ppm Cd). Liming is usual recommended management practice for acid soils fertility improvement. Beside effects on crop yields, liming is useful management practice for decreasing Cd transfer into food chain. In the liming experiment on acid soil, we found in maize leaves (2-year averages) 0.17 and 0.09 mg Cd kg, for control and averages of four liming treatments, respectively. Differences were found also between two growing seasons (0.10 and 0.07 ppm Cd, respectively). Also, considerably impact of liming on decreases of Cd in alfalfa hay was found (0.113 and 0.047 ppm Cd, for 0 and 20 t·ha of lime).

Studies based on biochemical and hematological parameters in fish are significant in monitoring of health and early detection of pathological conditions. This research obtained values of serum electrolytes and hematological parameters in crucian carp (n = 15) and common carp (n = 13). Significantly different values of K, Cl and Ca concentration were detected. In serum of common carp there were significantly higher concentration of K and Cl and lower concentration of Ca, compared to the crucian carp. Hematological parameters differ in these two species. In blood of common carp significantly lower PCV, hemoglobin concentration, RBC and MCV and notably higher MCHC and WBC were obtained, compared to crucian carp. This preliminary research is important in establishing referential range of biochemical and hematological parameters in cyprinid fishes.

The aim of this experiment was examine the quality and hygienic correctness of goat milk in Skopje region, R. of Macedonia. The researches were conducted on 3 goat farms: “Taor”, “Kozhle” and “Ajvatovci” the villages near by the Skopje, R. Macedonia. The experiment included 9 milk samples per each farm, in period April (total 27 samples) and the same situation in May 2015 year. Average Milk Fat Content (AMFC) and Average Milk Protein Content (AMPC) in the three goat farms in month April/2015 were 3.68% and 3.34 respectively, but AMFC and AMPC in the three goat farm in month May/2015 were 3.74% and 3.23% respectively. Average Somatic Cells Content (ASCC) in the three goat farm in month April/2015 were 924.667/ml milk and Average Somatic Cells Content (ASCC) in the three goat farm in month May/2015 were 518.667/ml milk. Average Bacteria Content (ABC) in the three goat farm in month April/2015 were 1.688.667/ml milk, Average Bacteria Content (ABC) in the three goat farm in month May/2015 were 1.517.333/ml milk. About chemical composition of goat milk in Skopje region is in correlation of article 7 from Regulation for quality of raw milk (Gazette of RM No. 96/11), the same situation is about somatic cells in goat milk in Skopje region. But about the total number of bacteria of goat milk in Skopje region the results are not in correlation with Regulation for microbiological quality of raw milk and classified goat milk in the II class of quality. This work attemps to present the quality and hygienic correctness of goat milk in Скопје region and future measures to better quality of goat milk.

In this paper are given the test results of antioxidative effect of basil extract and extract of Arillus myristicae by examination of degree of acidity and peroxide number on lipid for semidurable national sausage. After manufacture sausage was vacuum and stored at temperature of +4°C. Degree of acidity and peroxide number were examined 1, 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 days of production. Best results give the sample with the addition of 0.3 g of basil extract per kg mixture compared with samples with Arillus myristicae extract
