The article deals with the issues of secondary use of industrial waste from the processing of soft hardwood wood. It is shown that the disposal of man-made waste in landfills is undesirable, and the use of wood waste to generate heat for heating is limited to the autumn-winter period. It is proved that it is most expedient to make composites from the waste of processing soft hardwood wood, since the need for inexpensive building materials is constantly increasing. Wood- cement materials from soft-leaved wood are practically not produced due to the presence of water- soluble saccharides, which worsen the process of hydration of cement. It is proposed to use binders that harden quickly in the production of composites made of soft hardwood. To exclude the negative influence of the extracted substances, it is proposed to use urea-formaldehyde glue as a binder. The mathematical dependence of the compressive strength of a composite made of soft hardwood on the glue consumption, wood consumption and the duration of exposure after molding is obtained. The parameters of the composite manufacturing mode are set: wood consumption-190 ... 195 kg/m3, urea-formaldehyde glue consumption-262...270 kg/m3; the duration of exposure after molding – 6 days. Methods for reducing the release of free formaldehyde from composites have been identified. It was found that in the steam-air mixture after 12 days of exposure of the chip-and- glue composite, there are no previously detected micro-impurities of formaldehyde, and the chip- and-glue composite can be used in construction without restrictions.

Modern logging equipment, which is supplied in the Russian Federation, supports work with the StanForD2010 standard. It allows you to store data that is collected from forest machines in the process of harvesting round wood in convenient formats. The most commonly used formats in the Russian Federation include stm, prd, drf. Currently, almost all logging equipment and software on it are foreign. Most of the supplied software bundled with forest equipment is partially used or not used at all. However, you can only purchase the entire software package. If the company has forest machines from different manufacturers, it is necessary to purchase software for each of them, which entails significant costs for loggers. Therefore, there is a need to develop similar software that would preserve the necessary functionality to ensure control over the logging process, as well as reduce its cost for the end user. As part of this work, software has been developed for importing and decrypting individual stm files from forest machines, evaluating the size and quality characteristics of harvested wood in graphical and tabular forms, which allows you to quickly analyze and adjust the harvesting process. This direction is relevant for logging enterprises of the Russian Federation.

The main tasks of selecting the best option for the route of forest roads through the use of methods based on GIS systems are considered. Such roads are characterized by the use of materials capable of meeting the basic requirements on the transport-operational condition in difficult natural and climatic conditions. As is known, the cost of maintenance and construction of such roads are quite large. Forestry engineers need to predict in advance the optimal route of a forest road. For this purpose it is necessary to carry out a comprehensive analysis of the whole design area and make a decision for the passage of the route. Thus, the methodology of analysis and optimization of forest road route design on the basis of GIS systems allows to solve this problem. This study presents in detail the methodology underlying some of the key components of the model, including the specified design constraints. The methodology solves tracing problems and provides forest engineers with a powerful tool to find the greatest number of different alignment options in a short period of time. This methodology allows for the evaluation of alternatives for a forest road alignment. The aim of the research was to develop a methodology for tracing forest roads using GIS systems. The result of the work was the creation of the methodology of forest roads routing, taking into account the standards and topographic data of the area.

The main tasks of improving the crushed stone-mastic coatings of forest timber highways through the use of innovative road-building materials are considered. Such roads are characterized by the use of materials capable of meeting the basic requirements for transport and operational conditions in difficult natural and climatic conditions. The known road building materials are distinguished by the instability of their physical and mechanical properties. This causes significant difficulties both in the design and in the operation of forest timber roads made of these materials. Despite the complex of experimental studies carried out, the task of developing road coatings with adjustable performance properties remains unfulfilled. Thus, the developed method of designing the grain composition of crushed stone-mastic asphalt concrete pavements of forest roads, with new transport and operational parameters, taking into account the operating conditions, which determined the purpose of this work, will help to solve the problem. The aim of the research was to develop methods for creating crushed-night-mastic asphalt concrete pavements of forest timber roads, using a heat stabilizing additive from expanded vermiculite sand. In this work, the problem of assessing the degree of influence of the addition of sand from expanded vermiculite on the quality indicators of crushed stone-mastic asphalt concrete coatings of forest timber roads was solved. The results of the work were the creation of a formulation of crushed stone-mastic asphalt concrete with a heat-stabilizing additive from expanded vermulite of fraction from 0.5 to 1.0 mm. Taking into account the sufficient adequacy of experimental research, the results of the selection of the mixture can be recommended for use in the practice of building forest timber roads for I and II road-climatic zones.
