To study the assessment of the state of forest ecosystems on the level of biodiversity of mosses and vascular plants in the Voronezh upland oak grove, a transect from the watershed to the reservoir was laid. The influence of geomorphological factors on the spore component – mossy and vascular plants-is considered. Taxonomic, ecological-biological, and geographical analyses of the flora were carried out. Geobotanical survey methods were used to assess the state of phytocenoses. The regularities in the ecotopic distribution of plants are revealed, taking into account the score and the projective coverage, and the parameters for assessing the biodiversity of ecosystems are proposed and used in research. Mosses and vascular plants manifest themselves differently in different phytocenoses, often without reflecting the features of landscape and ecological conditions. But, as the results showed, the majority of plant species (from 55.9% and above) belong to mesophytes. As a result, low indicators of species richness, species density, and generic.

The main dependences for determining the coefficient of buoyancy reserve and the draft of flat flat units with an increased and stabilized buoyancy reserve are given. These dependences show that for flat flattened units completely wrapped in a flexible waterproof material, when they are on the water, the draft and buoyancy reserve coefficient do not change over time. The paper presents the results of studies on the extraction of phenolic compounds from the leaves of trees of the Salicaceae family, namely aspen and willow. A method for extracting phenolic compounds of salicin and quercetin by extraction using ethyl alcohol as a solvent is described. The method of identification of salicin and quercetin by thin-layer chromatography (TLC) is described. Digital processing of the obtained results was carried out using the computer program “Sorbfil Visualizer” (Krasnodar). The optimal operating parameters of the process, allowing to obtain the highest yield of the desired substances, are determined. The maximum yield of quercetin in the amount of 1.4% a. s. v. was obtained from aspen leaves, and was achieved at the following extraction parameters: the concentration of the ethyl alcohol solution (extractant) – 60%, the extraction duration-30 min, the temperature of the extractant-50°C. The biological origin of wood suggests its complex structure, each of the elements of which, has a special effect on the properties of wood. The most visible elements of the macroscopic structure of wood, which include annual layers or layers of growth. By the width of the year layer, especially for conifers, it is possible to make a preliminary judgment on the quality of wood: it is considered that with the reduction of its width, the physical and mechanical properties increase. At the same time, the width of the year layer is one of the most variable parameters of the macrostructure. Its fluctuations cause both internal factors, such as age, and external, which include growth conditions, which include both climatic factors and soil characteristics. The study measured the width of the year-long layer of pine wood in different growing conditions, according to the data obtained, the number of annual layers in 1 cm was calculated.

This paper presents the results of DNA diagnostics of phytopathogens in the Voronezh region. DNA diagnostics was carried out step by step: isolation of total DNA from the sample by CTAB method, amplification of marker regions of phytopathogenic organisms using primers ITS1 and ITS4, electrophoretic separation of the obtained amplicons in 2% agarose gel followed by staining with ethidium bromide, determination of the nucleotide sequence of the amplified loci ABI Prism 310. The study identified the following plant diseases: Sphaeropsis sapinea, Rhizoctonia solani, Cladosporium herbarum. Along with this, we identified the Neocatenulostroma pathogen, which had not previously been found in the territories under its jurisdiction. This disease cannot be determined by phenological signs. The degree of infection by pathogens ranged from 15 to 40%. At present, the problem of protecting plants from diseases is especially urgent. It has been established that the greatest damage to forestry activities is caused by fungal and infectious diseases. At the same time, among phytopathogens, about 97% are fungal infections, 2% are bacterial and 1% are viral.

Currently, the reforestation process has a number of disadvantages, such as the need to use manual labor during the distribution and planting of seedlings; mechanisms for planting seedlings are often equipped with tractors as traction means. The creation of furrows and the preparation of the soil immediately before planting affects the energy consumption of the implements’ drives. At the moment, the inefficiency of planting work is high, since the planting of seedlings with a closed root system occurs in conjunction with a plow. All these factors, when calculated for a long-term period, lead to greater energy consumption when carrying out this type of work. This article discusses approaches to the mechanization of the planting process. Using the experience of planting seedlings with a closed root system (CCS) manually and analyzing the methods of mechanization of planting, it is possible to obtain maximum efficiency when carrying out this type of work. Based on the material studied, a prototype of a planting device suitable for the technology of discrete planting of seedlings with ZKS was selected. Solid modeling of the working body in the Solidworks computer-aided design system has been carried out. When designing the model, the possibility of its production using additive technology using the FDM printing method was envisaged.

A method for calculating the area of the loading roadstead, which is part of a promising transport and technological scheme for the supply of wood to consumers, is proposed. The area of the loading roadstead consists of the storage area of flat flat units and the area of the received production facilities. The calculation of the area of the accepted production facilities is considered in detail, depending on the parameters of flat flat units, the carrying capacity of ships and their overall dimensions, as well as the features of the installation of cranes on a floating base. The use of this technique makes it possible to perform a reliable calculation of the required area of the water area of the waterway.
