Examine the Feasibility of Implementing Blockchain Technology in the Sri Lankan Banking System 研究在斯里兰卡银行系统中实施区块链技术的可行性

In the era of digitization, it is important that Banks and Financial institutions stay up to date with the latest technology. Blockchain technology is one such technology which has become a widely discussed topic when it comes to finance in the digital era. The objectives of this study are to identify the factors that affect Blockchain adoption as well to identify the possible applications of it in the Sri Lanka banking sector. The study applied qualitative research approach. An interview guide was created and banking professionals were interviewed in order to understand their take or perception on Block Chain implementation in the Sri Lanka Banking sector. This study discovered that the application of Blockchain technology for shared KYC, trade finance, and Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) was possible. When deploying Blockchain technology, interoperability problems, regulatory limits, and lack of knowledge were the main obstacles. Additionally, the presence of Fin Tech companies, the regulator's attitude, the cooperation of banks, customers' perceptions, and the banking system's capability functioned as catalysts to enable such an adoption. The results and suggestions of this study would benefit bankers, educators, and practitioners in their efforts to examine the factors that affect the adoption of Blockchain technology. It will also help them to develop workable solutions for their problems. This will also help authorities like the Central Bank in order to create a proper framework for the implementation of block chain technology in the Sri Lanka banking sector. The study will contribute to extend the existing literature on Blockchain adoption and that it will help to create the much-needed framework in order to successfully implement Blockchain technology in banking system while set precedence for future research on this area.

Role of Problematic Internet Use and Cognitive Overload in Cyberchondria among Adult IT Professionals 成人资讯科技专业人士网际网路使用问题与认知超载在网路病症中的作用

The present study was conducted to explore the role of problematic internet use and cognitive overload in cyberchondria among adult professionals working in IT, media & advertising sectors. A sample of 203 (118 men, 78 women) was drawn by mens of purposive sampling. The severity of cyberchondria was assessed by using cyberchondria severity scale, problematic internet use by scale and cognitive overload by information overload questionnaire. The significance of the hypotheses was analyzed using Spearman correlation coefficient analysis, Mann Whitney test U test. Results revealed both problematic internet use and cognitive overload was positively correlated with cyberchondria. Furthermore, cyberchondria showed a significant difference between males and females in which females had a higher level of cyberchondria and were more likely to experience health related symptoms than males.

Perceived Organizational Support and Pedagogical Content Knowledge of TLE Teachers; the Mediating Role of Program Resources 教师组织支持感知与教学内容知识节目资源的中介作用

This study determined the mediating effect of program resources on perceived organizational support and pedagogical content knowledge of TLE teachers. Quantitative descriptive correlational design was employed. The study was conducted through online survey in a public school of Division of Davao del Sur during the school year 2021-2022. The TLE public junior high school teachers who are the respondents were chosen using purposive sampling. Data utilized in this study were gathered through adopted questionnaires. Mean, Pearson product-moment correlation and path analysis were among the statistical tools used. Results revealed that TLE teachers had a very high level of perceived organizational support, a very high level of pedagogical content knowledge, and a high level of program resources. Moreover, there is a significant relationship among perceived organization support of TLE teachers and their pedagogical content knowledge, perceived organization support and program resources, and program resources and pedagogical content knowledge. It was also revealed that the program resources partially mediated the relationship between perceived organizational support and pedagogical content knowledge. With considerations on the findings of the study, the perceived organization support of TLE teachers was evident at all times. Second, the pedagogical content knowledge as perceived by TLE teachers was important all the time. Lastly, the program resources were evident most of the time. It was recommended that the school administrators should support the improvement of program resources in schools.

Lived Experiences in Performance Assessments: From the Lens of the Students in Technical Vocational Livelihood Senior High School 绩效评估中的生活体验:基于职业技术生活高中学生的视角

Aims:  The study aimed to unveil the experiences, coping mechanisms, and insights of the Senior High School students in performance assessments of the TVL track. Study Design: Qualitative-Phenomenology research design. Place and Duration of Study: Three public schools under the division of Digos City, Davao Region, Region XI, which offer a Technical-Vocational-Livelihood strand during the SY 2022-2023. Methodology: Using purposive sampling, the participants were the Senior High School students of the three identified public schools, which offer the Technical-Vocational-Livelihood track, 15 participants for the FGD and 6 participants for the IDI. Results: For the experiences, three themes emerged: troubles in task completion during performance assessment, enjoying the tasks while learning, and lack of resources and materials, while for the coping mechanisms, also three themes: self-determination and perseverance, share ideas and materials with peers and teachers and study and perform diligently and insights, three themes emerged: teamwork is the force behind every success, perseverance makes impossible-possible, and it is not about their resources, it is being resourceful. Implication: Assessment plays an integral role in teaching-learning because it will help improve the performance of each student and the school as a whole. It must be enhanced to improve its content and process significantly and to make evaluation and information a part of the teaching-learning process. These results will be a significant addition to the developing body of knowledge and literature about the impact of K to 12 in the Philippines. Other researchers may assess the effects of K to 12 and TVL curriculum or another qualitative study in other regions.

Aim: To revisited four basic steps of scientific stage which consist of Problem, Hypothesis, Trial and Report. Discussion: Scientific stage is a series consists of four consecutive steps which provide scientific explanation or even answer to research question based on observation, experiment, and comparison. These stages objectively establishing facts through testing and experimentation. It can be a positive or negative explanations rely upon a certain approach, called the scientific method, for their justification. This explanation or answer, in the context of the most basic human virtue, is to make the life of its perpetrators and also other people better. Conclusion: Scientific stage conducted through four consecutive basic and simple steps is at the heart of evidence based activity conducted by scholars and scientist.

The Knowledge and Accuracy Roles in Explaining the Business Communication on Customer Satisfaction inside SMEs 中小企业内部商务沟通对顾客满意度的影响:知识和准确性的作用

The literature explains that some SMEs tend to deal with a business communication problem during the market share customer satisfaction development, for example, there is a personal interest of employee, which is the tendency in changing the information inside the company in every management levels, or the lack of product knowledge of sales person in communicating the detail information of product/service to the potential buyers. As such, this study aims to explore the role of business communication on customer satisfaction through the emphasis of knowledge and accuracy, given that there are less literatures explain such role, especially within the developing countries. Through the application of quantitative method, this study collects the data from SMEs throughout a distribution of 115 questionnaires. As theoretical implication, this study finds that knowledge and accuracy inside business communication play a significant role on customer satisfaction development. In addition, as managerial contribution, this study also recommends a constructive guideline for business owners, especially SMEs to enhance their marketing strategy.

The Development Model of Ecotourism Management in Gunung Botak, the South of Manokwari Regency, West Papua Province, Indonesia 印尼西巴布亚省马诺瓦里县南部古农博塔克生态旅游管理发展模式

The South of Manokwari Regency has many kinds of tourism objects with specifications characteristic of natural landscapes i.e., coastal ecotourism (marine ecotourism), and high land ecotourism (i.e., Gunung Botak areas and Arfak Mountains). This article is a review based on the research and the justification of scientific writing with purposed: to review and analyze the potential of Gunung Botak Ecotourism, the suitability and carrying capacity, the performance of regional of tourism social-economic in The South of Manokwari Regency that could be developed as the ecotourism object in national and international’s class and to designed the Development Model of Ecotourism Management in Gunung Botak. The determination of the ecotourism object has done based on the exploration assessment about the object and attractions in a score determination. The assessment of suitability and carrying capacity with scientific justifications i.e.  (1) natural ability to tolerate human disturbance or distress, and (2) standard the authenticity of natural resources. The quality of natural scenery (lanscape) there would be the degree of quality Gunung Botak Ecotourism categories scores >19 (Clas A, High Quality). Ecotourism activity in Gunung Botak consists of recreation, sports tourism in a natural hollow and camping, with wide areas is 5063.5 m2. The projections of potential regional income in entrance fee tariff from foreign tourist is Rp. 35.550.000,-/day and domestic tourism is Rp.1.135.000,-/day. The management strategy of development Gunung Botak ecotourism in South Manokwari Regency could be done with determined the segmentation of ecotourism marketing.

Disaster Response and Recovery Practices among Oil Spill Impacted Communities in Selected States in Niger Delta Region, Nigeria 尼日利亚尼日尔三角洲地区若干州受溢油影响社区的灾害响应和恢复实践

The study examined the disaster response and recovery practices among oil spill impacted communities in selected states in Niger Delta region of Nigeria. The study cut-across six (6) LGAs from three (3) states, that is, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa and Delta while questionnaire was administered among 400 respondents with return rate of 94% amounting to 375 valid questionnaires. The returned questionnaires were analysed using descriptive statistics and ANOVA for the study hypotheses. The outcome of the study indicated that abandonment of spilled site (21.3%) is the most adopted response practice while in-situ burning of oil (22.4%) and scooping of the spilled oil (22.1%) as the major recovery practices. Statistically, there was no significant difference in post-disaster practices such as disaster response (where p > 0.05, p= 0.116) and recovery (where p > 0.05, p= 0.775) across the states. In conclusion, there is need for synergy among all the multi-agency and involvement of the community in deriving long lasting post-disaster practices. Harmonizing several overlapping legislations and governance institutions was recommended.

Examining the Factors that Influence the Use of Social Media for Disaster Management by Coastal Community People of Bangladesh 考察影响孟加拉国沿海社区人民使用社会媒体进行灾害管理的因素

Aims: To examine how and why did the coastal community people (agriculture, aquaculture and livestock farmers) adopted social media for their disaster management efforts employing Technology Acceptance Model. Place and Duration of Study: Batiaghata upazila under Khulna district and Bagerhat Sadar, Chitalmari and Fakirhat upazila of Bagerhat district. Data was collected in February 2023. Methodology: Considering 95% confidence level and 10% Margin of Error 96 sample was estimated for the study. However, for addressing non response we collected data from 25 more respondents, thus all together we collected data from 121 samples. The people who use social media, available during interview and voluntarily agreed to provide data were selected purposively as sample. The study was a quantitative research project that used independent t-tests and descriptive statistics to analyze the information gathered. Data was Analyzed using SPSS. Results: The study found 94% community people either strongly agreed or agreed that they use social media for gathering disaster information while 96% respondents strongly agreed or agreed to share disaster information with their friends and families. The outcome of the study established the fact that a significant difference exists between coastal community people whose social media site usage was influenced by their perceived usefulness and those whose social media site usage was influenced by their perceived ease of use (p<0.05). Conclusion: In coastal Bangladesh social media users gather disaster management information from the media and also share this in their friends and families. There is a high perception of perceive usefulness and ease of use of social media among coastal community people in Bangladesh, particularly Bagerhat and Khulna districts. Therefore, government and non-government organizations need to emphasize on social media as part of enhancing community knowledge and improving practice of disaster management.

A Comparative Analysis of the Adoption of Conflict Resolution Model for Conflict Management in Colleges of Education and Universities in South-East Nigeria 尼日利亚东南部高等教育院校冲突管理采用冲突解决模式的比较分析

Aims: This study compared the adoption of conflict resolution model for conflict management in colleges of education and universities in South-east Nigeria. Study Design:  The descriptive survey design was adopted for the study. Place and Duration of Study: Academic staffs of Nwafor Orizu College of Education and Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, between November 2022 and February 2023. Methodology: Simple random sampling technique of balloting with replacement was used to select 1,046 academic staffs from the accessible population of 5,225 academic staffs of Nwafor Orizu College of Education and Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka. The standardized instruments adopted for data collection was conflict management style assessment by Reginald Akins. The psychometric properties of the instrument were validity and a reliability coefficient of 0.74; also the instrument was administered using the direct delivery approach. Data collected was analysed using arithmetic mean and standard deviation. A table of real limit of numbers was used to interpret the respondents’ response. Rarely - 1.00 - 1.49, Sometimes - 1.50 – 2.00, Often - 2.50 – 3.00, Always - 3.50 – 4.00. Analysis for this study was done using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). Results: The findings revealed that academic staffs in colleges of education always adopt competing mode of conflict resolution for conflict management. While, academic staffs in universities often adopt competing mode of conflict resolution for conflict management. Furthermore, academic staffs in colleges of education often adopt avoiding mode of conflict resolution for conflict management, while academic staffs in universities always adopt avoiding mode of conflict resolution for conflict management among others. Conclusion: Conflict is inevitable in all organisations and the tertiary institutions being a formal organisation have intricate network of members with divergent needs that trigger conflicts. The findings of this study revealed that academic staffs in colleges of education and universities adopt conflict resolution model for conflict management.
