Ceramics in Camera Lenses Casio Computer Co Ltd, Tokyo, Japan has introduced a digital camera lens, which is made of transparent ceramics instead of standard glass. The transparent ceramic, commercialized under the trade name 'Lumicera', has been developed by Murata Manufacturing Co Ltd, Japan.
