The Internet of Everything (IoE) is a novel term that presents a modern concept of extended Internet of Things (IoT) definition. IoT emphases on communication machine-to-machine (M2M), while IoE is a concept that encompasses people-to-machine (P2M) and people-to-people (P2P) connections via the Internet. While IoT is oriented to connect physical objects (things), IoE connects data, processes, people and objects. Presented in this paper is an innovative model developed in Node-RED for brain-computer interface to communicate with "everything". It includes different electroencephalography devices to acquire signals associated to the brain activity and transmit EEG data to the web or cloud for more efficient computations and connections to different IoE devices, IoE services and people. A case study that validated the proposed model is presented. A new node "openbci-input" is designed and developed to enrich the Node-RED's capabilities to extend the connectivity of the OpenBCI device and the ability to transmit data over the Internet.

Due to their wide application, the constant-amplitude ideal periodic autocorrelation phase manipulated signals (CAIPAPMSs) have been actively explored during the past seventy years. As a result, a large set of methods for synthesis of CAIPAMSs has been proposed and practically adopted. Accounting this situation in the paper a general method for synthesis of CAIPAPMSs is substantiated.

Transformation of technologies to operate in Internet of Things (IoT) will increase their connectivity for sharing and collecting data with minimal human intervention, as well as to use advantages of cloud computing. The paper presents a novel approach for integrating EEG brain computer interface (BCI) with a humanoid robot for communications in the IoT. A transformation of both devices into IoT things allow seamless communication for data exchange with other IoT devices or services and more efficient computations in the web or cloud. Node-RED is the chosen programming tool providing a gateway to IoT, by which the EEG-based Emotiv EPOC+BCI device and the humanoid robot Pepper communicate. There is a library of input nodes in Node-RED for EPOC+ device, by which it interfaces services and devices in Internet, however such nodes do not exists for Pepper. Two approaches for transformation of the robot into IoT device have been designed and tested. In the first, MQTT protocol has been deployed on the robot side that can use local or remote MQTT broker. In the second approach, there is no need to install specific publish-subscribe client software for interactions with the broker. Instead, continuous python process in Node-RED accesses the Pepper internal memory for storing and retrieving key-value pairs. The devices share and collect data based on publish-subscribe model embedded in Node-RED. Original flows were designed and developed for BCI control of the robot in the IoT. The control is based on EEG data featuring, classifying and translating into machine commands that interface the robot APIs from Node-RED.

In this study, an Omega-type MIN, which includes a novel regulated switchbox (SRB), is used as a testbed. The ultimate objective of choosing this setup is to be able to handle two-class load patterns (uniform and periodic hotspot traffic) more easily. The addition of periodic hotspot traffic to uniform-type traffic causes internal ‘tree saturation’, which can significantly increase the packet latency and even cause congestion. Moreover, results of simulation experiments demonstrate that this concept is a flexible and effective solution that provides a better quality of service to the overall network.

This paper examines the case of an ISO 27001 framework tailored to the needs of one or more government entities tasked with securing e-voting (machine voting) infrastructure. The research begins with an exploration of the primary functions of the election infrastructure and several essential information security aspects. Then, high-level guidelines are proposed that should be considered when complying with ISO 27001 in this context. Government organisations that plan to implement this particular standard for securing e-voting infrastructure can benefit from considering the proposed recommendations.

This paper proposes a genetic algorithm-based optimization methodology that considers the voltage regulation in a grid-connected microgrid. The need for voltage regulation comes from the stochastic nature of the power consumption and the power generation from the distributed generators, and the need for a stable and quality power supply. The algorithm is tested on a small-scale microgrid with PV and wind generators, supported by a battery energy system over a 24-hour time period. The obtained results show the financial benefit of considering the voltage regulation as part of the optimization process.

The results of determining the maximum breaking force that the connection between the printer head and the flexible board for transmitting electrical signals must withstand are presented. To stabilize the tensile strength of solders, in addition to soldering, additional stabilization of the solders with a coating with specialized glue was used. The tensile strength was measured with an intelligent measuring system in different variants of soldering and protection with glue. An analysis and evaluation of the results was performed through statistics.

In cybersecurity the method of simulation modelling has advantages for effective prevention. The aim of this paper is to contribute to development of techniques for cyber defense by а joint application of simulation modelling of a jamming type of DoS (Denial-of-Service) attacks using software Riverbed Modeler Academic Edition 17.5 and jamming antennas using CST Studio Suite 2021. In this paper, a novel Self-Adaptive Genetic Algorithm (SAGA) is proposed to solve the AC Security Constrained Short-term Hydrothermal Scheduling (SCSHTS) problem. The efficiency of the proposed algorithm is tested on the benchmark version of the IEEE 30 BUS system, which consists of four thermal power plants and two hydropower plants, as well as an optimization period of two intervals. The new proposed algorithm is then applied to a standard IEEE 30 BUS system, taking into account all necessary system and security constraints. The results obtained from the new proposed SAGA are compared with those obtained from some metaheuristic methods, such as Conventional Cuckoo Search Algorithm (CCSA), Effective Novel Cuckoo Search Algorithm (ENCSA), and Modified Cuckoo Search Algorithm (MCSA). The simulation results indicate that the proposed SAGA provides better solutions than the other optimization methods that have been applied to this optimization problem.
