Study of variation of total harmonic distortion in diode clamped multilevel inverter with modulation index 二极管箝位多电平逆变器随调制指数变化的总谐波畸变研究

Mutlilevel Inverter is a power electronic circuit used to generate voltage of multiple levels. As the number of levels increases harmonic content can be decreased. In this paper a three level diode clamped inverter is used and variation of its output total harmonic distortion with respect to modulation index is observed. Here Sinusoidal PWM technique is used to generate the pulse inputs to gate of IGBTs. In this method a fundamental frequency sine wave is compared with high frequency carrier triangular wave.

Routing in intermittently connected mobile ad hoc networks: overview 间歇连接移动自组织网络中的路由:概述

Intermittently Connected Mobile Ad hoc Networks (ICMAN), is a special group of MANET in which source nodes and destination nodes are intermittently connected. These networks are also referred to as delay/disruption tolerant networks as the applications in this networks, must tolerate delays beyond conventional IP forwarding delays. Routing in ICMANs is a challenging task, as there does not exist a complete path from source to destination. For this network, researchers proposed many routing approaches. These approaches use the information like contact history, contact patterns, encounter time rates, utility functions, location information etc. to forward the message to the successive nodes so as to make it reach the destination. The recent routing protocols and algorithms are discussed in this article.

Image classification based on textural feature using artificial neural network 基于纹理特征的人工神经网络图像分类

Image classification plays an important part in the fields of Remote sensing, Image analysis and Pattern recognition. Image classification can be done using conventional methods. But conventional methods lead to misclassification due to strictly convex boundaries. Textural features are included for better classification but are inconvenient for conventional methods. The proposed system uses textural feature based image classification using neural network. Textural features are extracted using Gray level co-occurrence matrix and artificial neural network is developed for the classification of images into different classes. Neural network is trained by supervised learning using standard back propagation algorithm for the classification of images.

With the explosive growth of information sources available on the World Wide Web and the rapidly increasing space of adoption to Internet commerce, the Internet has evolved into a gold mine that contains or dynamically generates information that is beneficial to E-businesses. A web site is the most direct link a company has to its current and potential customers. The companies can study visitor's activities through web analysis, but before performing analysis we need to discover pattern and find the patterns in the visitor's behavior. In this paper we describing about the tools and techniques for pattern discovery and many applications of web usage mining. In this paper we also gather data from WWW for pattern discovery. These rich results yielded by web discovery, when coupled with web analysis and company data warehouses, offer great opportunities for the near future.

SNR improvement with speech enhancement techniques 用语音增强技术提高信噪比

Speech enhancement aims to improve the speech quality by using various techniques. Spectral Subtraction Technique is one earliest and longer standing, popular approaches to noise compensation and speech enhancement. It reduces stationary noise but the non stationary noise still passes through it. Further, it also introduces a musical noise which is very annoying to human ears. Beamforming is another possible method of speech enhancement that can be used. Beamforming by itself, however, does not appear to provide enough improvement. Further, the performance of Beamforming becomes worse if the noise source comes from many directions or the speech has strong reverberation. A combined technique using the Spectral Subtraction Technique followed by Beamforming Technique reduces stationary as well as residual, musical noise. It can be observed that the Spectral Subtraction followed by Beamforming gives better SNR value as compared to that of individual techniques, thereby improving the quality of speech. Numerous simulation results are used to illustrate the reasoning.

Speaker recognition is widely used biometric for authentication purpose. Aim of this paper is to authenticate speaker's identity by user voice array. This paper motivates to introduce approach, statistical analysis for text independent speaker recognition. Important advantages of statistical analysis method are much reduced calculations and simplicity. Feasibility of this speaker recognition method is discussed in this paper

Cloud computing is driving a fundamental shift in the way organizations build, deploy and use applications, and it's raising expectations on how quickly and cost-effectively new IT functionality can be made available to the business. And even though the delivery chain for these "borderless applications" now crosses organizational and geographic boundaries, users will still expect the applications to perform well, and they will hold IT accountable if they don't. For its part, IT is faced with managing an increasingly complex and diverse delivery chain, consisting of perhaps dozens of service and content providers spread around the world. Cloud computing is the set of technologies and infrastructure capabilities being offered in a utility based consumption model. Windows Azure is Microsoft's Cloud Computing offering to help its customers realize the benefits of cloud computing. This paper is an introduction on Windows Azure and provides insights into different aspects of Azure based development, especially for those who are interested in adopting Windows Azure within their Enterprise IT landscape. The key aspects we shall be discussing in this paper include overview of cloud computing, Windows Azure platform components, features, implementation, creating a cloud project in Windows Azure and developer's perspective about Azure.

TST: a job scheduling algorithm in computational grid TST:计算网格中的作业调度算法

A grid system tries to solve problems submitted by various grid users by allocating the jobs to the computing resources directed by different resource owners. An important objective of Grid scheduling is improving overall system performance by increasing system throughput, efficiency, and decreasing job completion time. Existing approaches of Grid scheduling doesn't give much emphasis on the performance of a Grid scheduler. We have specifically focused on improving Computational grid performance in terms of time. In this paper a non preemptive and dynamic scheduling strategy is proposed. This strategy toggle between Space based strategy and Time based strategy. The result of proposed scheduling strategy has been compared with existing scheduling strategies i. e. FCFS and Round Robin. Comparison takes place in terms of Execution time as a performance metrics. The proposed algorithm has been verified through the GridSim simulation toolkit and the simulation results confirm that the proposed algorithm gives better performance compare to other two strategies.

Face recognition using Kekre's wavelets energy & performance analysis of feature vector variants 基于Kekre小波的人脸识别能量与特征向量变体性能分析

Biometric authentication technologies are based on measurable physiological or psychological characteristics of human beings. Face is one of the important physiological biometrics traits. Wavelets are useful in multi-resolution analysis of images, they are very good option for analyzing texture feature of images. In this paper a new family of wavelets called as kekre's wavelet is used for multiresolutoin analysis of face images. Different variants of feature vectors are generated and their performance for face recognition is analyzed. The analysis shows that kekre's wavelets are faster than Haar wavelets and the feature vector based on these wavelets gives good accuracy.
生物识别认证技术是基于人类可测量的生理或心理特征。人脸是重要的生理生物特征之一。小波在图像的多分辨率分析中非常有用,是分析图像纹理特征的一个很好的选择。本文提出了一种新的小波——kekre小波,用于人脸图像的多分辨率分析。生成了不同的特征向量变体,并分析了它们在人脸识别中的性能。分析表明,kekre小波比Haar小波更快,基于这些小波的特征向量具有较好的精度。
