Diabetic Retinopathy (DR) is a chronic eye condition which occurs as the most common consequence of Diabetes Mellitus (DM). Without continuous monitoring by competent ophthalmologists, DR may lead to worse complications, including loss of vision. With the increasing number of DM population in Indonesia, there is also an increasing needs for more ophthalmologists to detect and manage DR patients. Therefore, ophthalmologists need an accessible learning platform to improve their ability to establish a fast and accurate DR diagnosis. We propose web-based training application called Optan, which accommodates repeated manual annotation of DR features on digital fundus images and provides a quantitative evaluation of its accuracy. Such functionalities will provide ophthalmologists in training with a more precise feedback on their diagnostic performance. Optan web interface is designed with a simple layout to make it easily understandable by users with a choice of various shapes to annotate different DR features. In addition, it is equipped with a function to calculate the Jaccard index similarity of annotations made by a resident ophthalmologist compared to a reference specialist. We evaluated Optan user satisfaction and quantitative evaluation feature on respondents including ophthalmologists and academics working with fundus images. Optan scores an average of 7.3 from the scale of 9 in the standard QUIS user satisfaction survey. The highest annotation consistency of six ophthalmologists is achieved on optic disk circular annotation as opposed to microaneurysm point and blood vessel line annotations.

Robotics is a technology that grows rapidly in this 4.0 Industrial Revolution. Robotics application in the medical field refers to the high demand from the medical world for robotics technology, where on that is also needed is to handle a test tube for laboratory use. Trajectory planning on an arm manipulator with 3 Degrees of Freedom (DOF) and parallel link mechanism is a method that will be designed in this paper with the aim of moving a test tube from a test tube rack to another rack. The test will be carried out by giving 8 coordinate points as a position reference of the trajectory planning movement. As for the test results, the average error on the x-axis, y-axis, and z-axis are 1.04 cm, 0.73 cm, and 0.8 cm respectively. So, it can be concluded that the average position error between the reference position and actual position while the arm manipulator executes the trajectory is 0.85 cm.

Vehicular Ad-hoc Network (VANET) is a technology developed from the Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) that enables wireless communication between vehicles. In VANET, vehicles can exchange information between vehicles with nearby vehicles as Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V) communication and also between vehicles with surrounding infrastructure as Vehicle to Infrastructure (V2I) communication. VANET technology aims to reduce the risk of accidents in driving and increase comfort while driving. A routing protocol in VANET determines the route according to its characteristics. It also affects the network performance. In this paper, an experiment was carried out using Network Simulator-2 (NS-2) software to analyze the effect of the existence of a Road Side Unit (RSU) on the performance of the ASTAR routing protocol in VANET. Anchor-based Street and Traffic Aware Routing (A-STAR) is a type of routing protocol in the Position Based Routing Protocol category. Simulations were done to determine whether the presence of RSU in an A-STAR routing protocol scenario has a major influence on the performance of packet delivery. Average throughput and average end-to-end delay were used as parameters to compare the results between two scenarios used. The results indicate that the addition of the RSU can improve the performance of the A-STAR routing protocol in the time of delivery by showing a decrease in average end-to-end delay. However, the packet delivery performance decreases with the decreasing of average throughput when RSUs are added which was caused by an increase in the number of nodes.

The synthesis of hydroxyapatite biomaterial has been growing in interest due hydroxyapatite (HAp) is an essential ingredient for recovering of bone and teeth problems. As low-cost production is currently being sought out for, the high content of calcium carbonate in clamshell waste can be used as an alternative meterial for the HAp material production. The use of clamshells also a statement for concern to fisheries, coastal and oceangrphies research. The use of clamshells waste in synthesis hydroxyapatite is helping to reduce cost production and environmental protection purposes. This paper aims to study the hydrothermal method can be used synthesize hydroxyapatite and convert clamshells to hydroxyapatite.

The shoes selection as the right footwear is very related to the feet comfort, especially in the selection of shoe materials. The shoe consists of three parts: insole, outsole, and upper shoe. The right outsole material will affect the comfort of feet during activity. This paper demonstrates a mechanical testing method on optimization of outsole material based on computer aided engineering (CAE). The outsole design on milutes diabetic patients in previous studies used as the basic design for mechanical testing at CAE. Three types of mechanical testing on Abaqus software 2016: bending, torsion, and plantar plessure used in this paper to determine the optimal outsole material as outsole material shoe orthotik. The test results showed that the material EVA rubber type declared with optimum characteristics of the von mises stress 0.0013 MPa, maximum principal stress 0.0036 MPa and features shock absorption of 5.01562 mJ. This data can served as a basic reference for the process of manufacturing the outsole of shoe on CNC machines.
