Review on industrialization of titanium dioxide residue from chlorination process 氯化废渣二氧化钛产业化研究进展

On May 8, 2012, seven ministries, including the Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and the Ministry of Science and Technology, formally jointly issued the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" for Science and Technology Engineering of Waste Resource Utilization, The program code number (National Science Development Plan [2012] 116, hereinafter referred to as "Planning"), the purpose is to promote the recycling, harmless treatment and disposal of waste, and realize the large-scale absorption of solid waste, so as to lead the development of strategic emerging industries such as energy conservation and environmental protection. In this context, China's solid waste industry has entered a period of rapid development opportunities. Since the 1970s, based on the national conditions, China has vigorously studied and developed the technology of chlorinated titanium dioxide. After 40 years of technological digestion and scientific and technological research, In 2002, the chlorination process of Jinzhou Titanium Industry reached the production standard, which indicated that the industrialized production of chlorinated titanium dioxide in China had really been realized. Subsequently, domestic enterprises such as Xinli in Yunnan, Baili Lian in Henan and Xingmao Titanium Industry in Luohe, Henan, were successively launched, and the transformation and upgrade of the industry were in full swing. However, the environmental pollution caused by chlorination process must be paid more attention. Some studies believe that compared with sulphuric acid process, chlorinated slag treatment is more difficult. Traditionally, it is more harmful to the environment by landfilling or transporting it to sparsely populated areas or pouring it into the sea. The extreme lack of social responsibility is a very irresponsible manifestation. Therefore, to grasp the opportunity of rapid development of solid waste industry in China, relying on the transformation of titanium dioxide industry, it is urgent to study the industrialization of chlorination process waste residue, and to take the road of circular economy and sustainable development is the only way in front of the industry.
