The Green revolution as ushered in by the photovoltaic cells is all pervasive. Power production through photovoltaic cells is gaining momentum as it reduces the Green House Effect. But the photovoltaic cells are plagued by severe efficiency deficiencies. It is at only 40% to 50%. In this novel approach the author proposes a new technique of using lens let arrays in combination with a resonance cavity to improve the efficiency of the photovoltaic cells. The lens in a lens let array brings the Sun’s radiation in the form of light energy to a focus on the photovoltaic cell. Since this increases the Intensity of the radiation at the PV cell surface the effective conversion rate of Photon to Electron increases. Consequently the output current increases thereby improving the performance of the photovoltaic cell.

Reliable authentication techniques play major role in designing security applications. Initially, passwords and tokens are used for identifying the authorized user which are easily forgotten or stolen by others. Therefore, biometric is an evident and secure way of authenticating the user in most of the applications. Various biometric traits such as physical or behavioral characteristics of individual are used for identification. Finger Knuckle Print (FKP) is one of the new emerging modality used for recognition of an individual. Finger Knuckle is rich in texture, a contactless biometric trait with highly unique characteristics. In this work, Gabor filter, texture based statistical approach is used to extract the feature vector from each segmented FKP. In addition, K-nearest neighbor (KNN) algorithm is used to train the system for extracting the feature vector. PolyU database and IIT Delhi databases are used to test the proposed FKP biometric authentication. Proposed FKP biometric authentication technique is implemented and experimental results show that the average efficiency of the algorithm is 86.133% and 99.4% for IIT Delhi and PolyU finger Knuckle databases respectively.

A lot of research are going on in the field of biometrics. The proposed idea in the paper concentrates on the application of biometric for two wheelers especially, motor bikes and scooters. In our day to day life, a lot of motor bikes are missed and it is very difficult to find the location. This paper provides an effective solution in order to ensure more security and avoid unauthorized use of motorbikes. In this project, a finger print based simple and efficient electric engine starter is proposed. Simple and effective hardware has been designed, implemented and tested with motorbikes. The BCI (Brain Computer Interface) systems are used for the damaged people (i.e., subject in our project) who were not able to interact with the computer according to their brain signals. The BCI can convert the brain signal into digital form. The BCI is widely used in various fields such as education, industries, video games and medical appliances, etc. In this paper, the EEG based brain controlled Robot and home appliances using IOT was developed using BCI. Here, the Neurosky technology is used in BCI. Here, the Neurosky technology is used in BCI. The e-sense algorithm is used to characterize the mental states. And also with the help of think gear technology which is used in our headset can be able to extract the subject’s brain signal by eliminating the artifacts. The extracted brain signal is transmitted to the Arduino microcontroller using HC-05 Bluetooth module. Here the robotic module consists of Arduino microcontroller coupled with DC motor for controlling the entire system. The combination of BCI system in the brain controlled Robot by using the recommended technologies, the paralysed people can able to control their home appliances without any difficulties.

With the world moving to an automated platform, robots are finding application in almost all domains to reduce the human effort. One such domain is to find a path in an unknown environment. The objective of this paper is to develop a room mapping robot that is able to map its surrounding environment. This allows the user to map areas that are not suitable for humans to traverse in. The developed model will be integrated with a computer using Bluetooth modules which enables the data exchange between the computer and the robot. The data gathering or scanning of the environment is done using a Sharp IR sensor. The sensor will be mounted on a servo motor to control the speed and direction of the scanning. The data obtained is transmitted to the computer where the data received will be further processed to obtain a map of the scanned environment.

Wind power forecasting is the large emerging field in research as it plays a vital role in wind power plant operation. Wind power is one of the fast-increasing sustainable power resources and it can be viewed as the additional substitute for traditional power produced from non-renewable energy. Wind power forecasting can reduce over-dependence on traditional source of electricity. Due to the random behaviour of the airstream, there will discontinuity in collecting of the wind data which is the major impact for forecasting accuracy. Last decade many researchers have applied data mining technique in different prediction system that produced good accuracy. So, this paper proposed, a hybrid method consist of Fuzzy K-Means clustering and Neural Network(NN) are used to improve the forecasting accuracy and also to reduce computational complexity for forecasting the wind power in short-term. Fuzzy K-Means clustering is used for selecting similar days and it consisting of information about the weather condition and historical power data. To avoid the volatility problems, a backpropagation algorithm is incorporated into the NN. In order to prove this efficiency, a hybrid approach can be evaluated in actual wind farm which can give better forecasting accuracy and also expected to reduce computational complexity when compared with other existing wind power forecasting approaches.

Natural calamity is considered as one of the most significant research subject worldwide. Subsequently after disasters, the need for resilient communication rises and constantly fluctuates due to altering environmental situations and demand from public. At the present time, Cloud has been appeared as the most extensively used environment for providing services to the users. Cloud offers services which are available on pay per use model and on-demand. One of the important processes of such systems is Scheduling. The present work focuses on task based resource scheduling and used Precedence Scheduling Algorithm (PSA) to get non-stop cloud services.

The Ultra-Wideband high gain modified bowtie antenna is presented for radar applications. The proposed antenna is designed by stepped cut microstrip feed in antipodal slotted bowtie antenna with reflector at the bottom side of an antenna to achieve high gain of 4.45dB with S11 is less than -10dB and bidirectional radiation pattern. The overall size of an antenna is 37.5 X 57 X 1.6 mm3 using FR4 substrate. Finally the simulated results of the proposed antenna is analyzed for agreeing the radar applications.

The recommended system focus on Bag of features (Bof) model in image instance retrieval system. Most of the years, image retrieval is mainly used for browsing and searching for many applications. In recent years large amount of image retrieval shows the importance of semantic image retrieval in both research and industry application. Filter descriptors show an incredible discriminative power in taking care of vision issues like extricating the data about the recordings naturally. The recommended algorithm performs image quantizing of neighborhood descriptors and converts into visual words and further applies an adaptable ordering and recovery process. Every single image is splitted into short casings by outlines. Histograms are calculated based on the visual words dictionary of each picture and an input query are given and the particular images are selected from the database. Histogram is also used for counting the number of occurrences of an image. Key point locations are used to ensure an invariance of image location, scale and rotation. Closer image to the key point scale undergoes the process. Support Vector Machine is to compare the positive and negative occurrence of an image. Support Vector Machines (SVM) is utilized to recover the specific picture from the database and process the yield. Using this process, the images can be retrieved as soon as possible.

In this paper, various ultra sound image denoising techniques are investigated and results are compared for various conditions. Synthetic Aperture radar images and ultra sound images are often corrupted by speckle noise. It is also known as granular noise. There are many methods for removal of speckle noise. The filters are developed for the removal of speckle noise. This paper reviews filters mostly used to remove speckle noise. Frequency analysis methods, various adaptive methods, temporal analysis methods are defined for the removal of speckle noises.
