Introduction: We report a series of fifteen cases of secondary psoas abscess, while lifting diagnostic and therapeutic challenges posed by the disease causal. Materials and Methods: Monocentric retrospective study over five years from January 2003 to December 2007. Studies made on clinical records, operating Records, radiology and bacteriology. Results: 15 cases aged 14 to 72 years with an average of 31.4 years with a slight male: 6 to 9 men women and a sex ratio of 1.5. The diagnosis was made by the tandem ultrasound scanner and six cases were due to Crohn's disease, three after appendicitis, two on tuberculosis spondylodiscis, and two on tumors of the colon, one in diverticulitis and post traumatic. Germs are found most gram-negative bacilli of gastrointestinal origin. In addition to antibiotics, eight were made in emblematic of more than three cases per skin after drainage. While in four cases percutaneous drainage was effective. Conclusion: The secondary psoas abscess is rare. Due to a few specific symptoms diagnosis can be delayed and hide the disorder that we must always find and treat, thereby altering care: Surgery combined with antibiotic therapy is the most effective treatment. Drainage percutaneous and antibiotic keeps their place in the treatment of secondary psoas abscess; At least it allows better conditions in the surgical treatment in a second time.

Regenerative medicine methods in the beauty field have quickly attracted the attention of many doctors and scientists in recent years. These methods include cell therapy, exosome therapy, and laser therapy. Based on many studies, exosomes, play a decisive role in the body's regeneration process. On the other hand, many articles confirm that laser therapy with a very important mechanism is very effective in enhancing hair growth. In this article we want to show you examples of the very successful effects of the simultaneous application of laser therapy and autologous exosome therapy on volunteers who have agreed to use these methods to hair growth. After autologous exosome preparation, the concentration is 0.15 to 0.3 ml per cm2 of skin for hair growth. The total number of injections for hair growth is 5 ml. In Hair growth, the treatment area was getting thinner and thinner or gradual to moderate hair loss on the top of the head, and hair growth injection was done by 30-27G, 4mm to 6mm needle. The treatment interval for hair growth is 1 to 2 sessions, monthly. In each session, immediately after autologous exosome injection, we performed laser therapy, 1 joule per cm2, output power of 200 mW, and laser wavelengths of 630 nm and 780 nm. It appears to be due to the synergistic effect between these two approaches, i.e. the use of autologous exosomes and laser therapy; look out for the combination of these two methods in the field of beauty and other therapeutic applications in the future.

A 62-year-old Japanese man presented for refractive evaluation. His best corrected visual acuity was 20/20 in both eyes. Slit-lamp evaluation of the cornea revealed bilateral deep stromal haze centrally in a mosaic pattern with intervening cracklike clear zones. The patient was diagnosed with posterior crocodile shagreen. This case highlights the importance for clinicians to be aware of posterior crocodile shagreen as central posterior corneal cloudiness.

Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) is a chronic inflammatory joint disease of seronegative spondyloarthropathies (SpA). Secondary amyloid A amyloidosis (Amyloidosis AA) is an uncommon complication of ankylosing spondylitis (AS). Amyloidosis AA is a systemic disease characterized by amyloid deposition in many organs including kidneys. An amyloid fibril formation starts with inappropriate folding of amyloidogenic precursor proteins. The amyloid fibrils have a typical appearance on light microscope that could be easily identified. The classification of secondary amyloidosis is based on the precursor proteins that form amyloid fibrils along with systemic and local distribution of amyloid deposition. Renal involvement is most frequent in systemic amyloidosis. The clinical manifestation of renal amyloidosis differs depending on the type of amyloid protein with the location and amount of amyloid deposition. The treatment of amyloidosis should be focused on managing symptoms and stabilizing amyloid protein.

Small bowel obstruction is the most common surgical disorder of the small intestine. Adhesions are by far the most frequent causes followed by hernias, tumors, intussusception, foreign bodies, gallstones, and inflammatory bowel disease. During embryogenesis, abnormal adhesion of the peritoneal folds induces a congenital band which can cause small bowel obstruction. It is extremely rare and usually observed in childhood. We report two cases of small bowel obstructions in adults due to congenital bands. The first patient is a woman of 47 years-old admitted for chronic abdominal pain, and the second one is a 20 years-old man admitted for the etiological assessment of chronic constipation. Surgical exploration was performed revealing a small bowel obstruction due to congenital band with complete resolution of the symptoms after surgery.

Gorlin-Goltz syndrome, also known as basal cell nevus syndrome. This condition is characterized by various clinical manifestations, including multiple cutaneous lesions and other systemic abnormalities. We present the case of a 32-year-old man with no significant medical history who was referred to our institution for evaluation of multiple budding lesions. Clinical examination revealed three lesions in the upper right nasolabial fold, one in the lower right cheek, one in the left nasolabial fold, and additional suspect lesions on the chin, right temple, and right cheek. This case underscores the importance of recognizing the diverse manifestations of Gorlin-Goltz syndrome, which can aid in early diagnosis and management of this inherited disorder. Further investigation and long-term follow-up are essential for understanding the progression and management of this condition.

Vaping is the process of inhaling an aerosol produced by heating a liquid or wax containing substances such as nicotine, flavoring, and aditives with a device called electronic cigarette (EC). Consumers who use the EC tend to overinhale and then forcefully exhale to eliminate the vapor, performing an exaggerated Valsalva maneveur, usually produced in much greater quantity than generated by a regular cigarette. This can increase their risk for developing potential spontaneus pneumomediastinum. Pneumomediastinum is the presence of air or gas in the mediastinum, that can be classified as spontaneous or secondary. Here we present a case of recurrent spontaneous pneumomediastinum due to EC use.

Orbital trauma is a prevalent condition in clinical practice, particularly in situations of head trauma. Orbital roof fractures following a blunt trauma are an uncommon consequence of trauma. Traumatic encephaloceles in the orbital cavity are much more uncommon, with only a few examples reported to date. Early detection and therapy of raised intraorbital pressure can avoid irreparable optic nerve injury. In trauma patients with concomitant orbital injuries, orbital computed tomography (CT) with thin axial and coronal slices is beneficial. Decompression of the orbital roof is the most important stage in surgical therapy and should be done in all cases. We report the case of an adult with a post-traumatic orbital encephalocele. A few hours after a road traffic accident with head injury, the patient developed progressive pulsatile enophtalmosis. Computed tomography revealed multiple fractures of the orbital rim with herniation of the left frontal lobe into the orbit.

Skin picking disorder (SPD) or dermatillomania is a primary psychiatric disorder characterized by recurrent skin picking, that may lead to self-induced cutaneous lesions and significant distress or functional impairment. It is described as recurrent picking of skin leading to skin lesions, with repeated attempts to decrease or stop skin picking. This is a case presentation of a 59 years old male suffering from an atypical case of dematillomania who sews repeatedly his skin with a needle and thread.
