The article deals with the Nazi political elite’s evaluation of the internal situation in Great Britain based on the reports of economic information bureau “Hamburg-Bremen”. The specified sources stored in the trophy funds of the Russian State Military Archive give a comprehensive account of the military, political and economic status of Great Britain. The author concludes that the peculiarities of the internal political situation in Great Britain could have influenced the acceleration of the Nazi territorial expansion.

The article presents the results of empirical studies on decision-making strategies in an uncertain environment as simulated by the Iowa Gambling Task. We examined the relationship of personality features, such as the Dark Triad traits, with the success of pragmatic results of sequential decision-making process in a situation with a target orientation towards obtaining the largest possible profit. The differences in the correlations of the Dark Triad traits with the effectiveness of decision-making are demonstrated between the persons occupied in managerial professions and persons not engaged in leadership positions.

Values of segmental optical anisotropy of macromolecules of vinyl acetate – vinyl alcohol copolymers are determined by the photoelasticity method. It is shown that in the range of 0,2 – 0,75 mole fraction of vinyl alcohol units, the dependence of segmental optical anisotropy of copolymers on their composition is essentially nonlinear. It is found that the transition of PVA conformation into PVAl conformation proceeds in the same composition range.
