While the notions of social services co-production and older people productivity have already been employed in the academic literature independently of one another, the relationship between the two has not been established yet. The article proposes a pioneering conceptual model that combines these two issues. Since the proposal is novel, the article introduces the concepts that allow to operationalize the model as well as the graphic diagram that explains the relationships between these concepts. The article presents social services co-production as a potential source of the personal and social productivity among the older people generated by the use of their human and social capital. Its aim is to stimulate a debate on this crucial topic and invite for a further development of the proposed conceptual model.

The article exploits the theoretical potential of the trajectory idea and proposes the concept of trajectory of unemployment. It also draws attention to the potential of memoirs as research material. The analysis is based on personal documents collected as a result of the competitions for memoirs of the unemployed held in Poland in 1931, 2000 and 2017. The data are examined with the use of the biographical method, the analysis is facilitated with MAXQDA qualitative analysis tools. We define trajectory as unfolding of a phenomenon and its evolution overtime, above all under the strong influence of external ŁUKASZ GRZEGORZ POSŁUSZNY, PAWEŁ KUBICKI 212 structures and mechanisms that depend on an individual’s agency to a limited degree. In the narrower sense, we treat trajectory as a sequence of changes in human life, determining transformations in status or position. We begin with the three-step logic of a trajectory (fall, stand-by and success) in order to indicate the „intermediary” trajectory types. We suggest that the two variables are decisive in locating individuals on trajectories: status and related turning points, and Bourdieu’s capitals.

: The main goal of this article is to compare the opinions of citizens from four European countries (Germany, Great Britain, Spain and Poland) regarding basic income in the broader context, among other things, of welfare regimes these countries represent. Statistical analyses of the Europeans’ attitudes towards basic income are based on interviews carried out in 28 European Union countries. Four countries, representing four different types of welfare regimes that can be found in the literature (the Nordic model has been excluded due to the sample size), and differing in economic welfare as well as historical experiences in regard to socio-economic system formation, have been selected for further analysis. Our analysis is based on special use of the single posthoc test with the Bonferroni adjustment for evaluating cross-country differences in basic income support and use of logistic regression for verifying the within-country impact of particular effects on basic income attitudes. The results of our analysis do not confirm that either the type of welfare regime or the level of social services in particular countries have a significant impact on attitudes toward basic income attitudes. However, we found the clear and direct impact of basic income awareness on supporting the programme.
