A review of application industrial robotic design 工业机器人设计的应用综述

Robotics is at an infertile stage of technology that crosses usual engineering limitations. The understanding the difficulty of robots and their application need knowledge of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering and mathematics. New engineering fields, such as manufacturing engineering become known to deal with the complexity of the robotics and factory automation. This paper will illustrate a number of of the industrial robotic arms in the world and will show the mechanism and the components of the robotic arm. One of the sections is going to show the classification of robotics in general to increase more understanding of robotics, such as actuators types, application area and method of control. Design issues to build a robotic arm will be shown such as mobility, connectivity, redundancy and the number of degree. The characteristics of the hybrid robotic arms structure and why there is a demand in the use of hybrid structures is discussed.

A study on the use of measurement software in the preparation of bills of quantities among Malaysian quantity surveying firms 马来西亚工料测量公司在编制工程量清单时使用测量软件的研究

It is advantageous for a QS to be efficient in producing bills of quantities from measurement. Measurement software applications, as a useful IT tool, can help a QS to speed up the measurement works. In relation to the measurement software application for BQ preparation among Malaysian quantity surveying firms, the objectives of the study are to determine the level of usage, identify the problems and benefits. The data for this study were collected from quantity surveying firms registered in Malaysia. A total of 130 quantity surveying firms were selected as the samples of the survey, representing 41.01% of the total of 317 quantity surveying firms in Malaysia. A total of 34 questionnaires were received for analysis. The study found that less than half of the quantity surveying firms use measurement software in the preparation of BQ. The major problems identified are high software installation cost and required learning and remembering many procedures to use the software. The major benefits identified are high accuracy, easy to edit the BQ, speed up measurement works, and high traceability.

Implementation of Management Information System in Nordic energy business: A case study 北欧能源企业管理信息系统的实施:个案研究

Energy business actors operating in the open energy market in Nordic countries like Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark are under intensive market pressure. This pressure forces the energy business actors continuously to improve their Management Information Systems (MIS). The power production portfolio in an individual energy business actor is affected by strategic decisions in longer period and power trading variables in the shorter period. In order to optimize the strategic decisions and power trading variables, this research study presents an overall definition of the MIS, specifically emphasize on its implementation perspectives on the energy market. In this paper, the authors presented a case study research as conducted within the Nordic energy sector with the objectives to implement the MIS and its solution perspective in the energy business sector. This study also presents the fundamentals of the case company's MIS architecture, its related challenges and future perspectives.

An improved PSO approach for solving non-convex optimization problems 求解非凸优化问题的改进粒子群算法

The aim of this paper is to propose an improved particle swarm optimization (PSO) procedure for non-convex optimization problems. This approach embeds classical methods (Kuhn-Tucker (KT) conditions and the Hessian matrix) into the fitness function. This generates a semi-classical hybrid PSO algorithm (HPSO). The classical component improves the PSO algorithm in terms of its capabilities to search for optimal solutions in non-convex scenarios. In this work, the development and the testing of the refined HPSO algorithm was carried out. The HPSO algorithm was tested against four engineering design problems which were; `optimization of the design of a pressure vessel' (P1), `optimization of the design of a tension/compression spring' (P2) and two `design optimization problems in engineering' (P3 and P4). The computational performance of the HPSO algorithm was then compared against the best optimal solutions from previous work on the same engineering problems. Comparative studies and analysis were then carried out based on the optimized results. It was observed that the HPSO provided a better minimum with a higher quality constraint satisfaction as compared to the PSO approach in the previous work.

A simple estimation the number of classes in satellite imagery 卫星图像中类别数量的简单估计

Clustering is a popular tool for exploratory data analysis, such as K-means and Fuzzy C-mean. A simple estimation the number of classes for segmented areas (K) in satellite imagery application is often needed in advance as an input parameter to the K-means algorithm. In this paper, a method has been developed to estimate the number of classes for segmented areas in satellite imagery clustering application using an image processing technique based on the co-occurrence matrix technique. The proposed method was tested using data from known the number of classes with satellite imagery. The results from the tests confirm the effectiveness of the proposed method in finding the estimation the number of classes and compared with ground truth data.

Face recognition is the most complex approach for identifying people in biometrics. Other biometric approaches, such as iris recognition, finger print, etc, for human recognition require close contact with the person. Traditional algorithm for face recognition are concerned with both accuracy and timing. Timing issue is more critical when dealing with real time images, thus, attention was directed toward parallelization of such algorithms. Recent computer graphics hardware contains extremely powerful graphics processing units (GPU) which can be used to accelerate automatic face recognition systems. GPUs are reasonably priced units designed to perform a number of tasks on enormous amounts of data. Utilizing the parallel computing power of the GPU can reduce time of many general purpose applications, and real time systems. This paper design a hybrid approach to face recognition system based on GPU implementation using wavelet transformation and principle component analysis (PCA).

A mixed integer non-linear programming model for optimizing the collection methods of returned products 一个用于优化退货方式的混合整数非线性规划模型

This paper studies the problem manufacturers facing to determine the collection methods for used product at the end of its life. Three collection methods that are practically applicable are studied namely pick-up, drop-off and mail return. This paper investigates the problem of assigning collection methods to collect returned products from customer zones that can maximize manufacturer's profit. A mixed integer non-linear programming model integrating the three collection methods is proposed to tackle the problem. The model is then tested using some problem instances and the results are promising. The potential and benefits of the proposed model are also highlighted.

Channel allocation using spectrum hole prediction in CR networks 基于频谱空穴预测的CR网络信道分配

To minimize interference in the primary network is the most important requirement in CR (Cognitive Radio) networks. Channel allocation algorithm should be designed to improve spectrum efficiency without interfering in the transmission of licensed users. In this paper, we propose a spectrum-hole prediction based channel allocation scheme. To predict spectrum hole, statistic properties of primary user's traffic is used. By using the predicted spectrum hole, channel can be selected opportunistically and it can reduce the possibility of interference with the primary user and increase the efficiency of spectrum utilization. The performance of proposed channel allocation scheme is evaluated by the computer simulation.
减少主网络的干扰是认知无线电(CR)网络中最重要的要求。信道分配算法应在不干扰授权用户传输的前提下提高频谱效率。本文提出了一种基于频谱空穴预测的信道分配方案。利用主用户流量的统计特性预测频谱空洞。利用预测的频谱空穴,可以有机会地选择信道,减少对主用户的干扰,提高频谱利用效率。通过计算机仿真对所提信道分配方案的性能进行了评价。

Factors affecting the passengers' intention toward “airline electronic ticketing” in Thailand 泰国旅客“航空公司电子票务”意向的影响因素

This study uses an `adoption model' to assess airline passengers' intention to use an online e-ticketing system in Thailand. The study also integrates constructs from “United Theory of Acceptance”, “Use of Technology model”, “Transaction Cost Saving Model”, “Perceived Security Model” and “Perceived Enjoyment Theory”. The “survey” was conducted at Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Thailand (Domestic Flights Terminal). The study aims to focus on those AirAsia's passengers who have ever used online e-ticketing at least for once in their life (experienced users). SPSS Program (Version 17.0) was used for data mining and survey authoring (Linear regression and Correlation analysis). Consequently, the results indicate that “Perceived Security”, “Perceived Enjoyment”, “Price Saving”, “Effort Expectancy” and “Facilitating Conditions” - in sequence - have significant positive effects on airlines passengers' intention to use online e-ticketing systems in Thailand, whereas “Performance Expectancy” did not have any significant effect on passengers' intention. After collecting the data; “Time Saving” and “Social Influence” hypotheses (H3 & H5) were not supported by Inter-Item Correlation Matrix' results and thus were `eliminated' from the initial conceptual framework model. The model finally explains 71.6% percent of the variance in airlines passengers' intention to use an online e-ticketing system in Thailand.
