Proposal of a collaborative software development platform for the virtual universities: The Virtual University of the Senegal (UVS) experience 虚拟大学协同软件开发平台的建议:塞内加尔虚拟大学(UVS)的经验

This paper presents a collaborative software development platform allowing traditional and virtual universities actors who are geographically distant to work on a software development project using common (usual) programming languages. In the context of the virtual universities operating in the field of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), pratical classes are needed to acquire and to enhance the necessary skills particularly in software engineering. To the various actors of these digital and traditional universities making some e-learning, this paper supplies a preconfigured collaborative software development environment including synchronization of files belonging to a given project, instant messaging, audio and video. Our platform has an administration interface allowing the management of permissions and preconfigured virtual machines allocation to the various actors. To reach our goals, we used the XMPP protocol for instant messaging and file synchronization. Then, we used WebRTC for audio and video between actors. Finally, we used the RDP protocol to allow the access to the virtual machines. In this work, we show how our platform was used by the Virtual University of the Senegal (UVS) teachers and students in the field of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science for some pratical classes about C/C++, Java, Python and PHP programming languages.

A preliminary study on indicator framework for enterprise, based on COBIT 5 processes and SOA approach 基于COBIT 5流程和SOA方法的企业指标框架初探

Organizations become dependent on Information Technology (IT) to fulfill their corporate aims, meet their business needs and deliver value to customers. For effective and efficient utilization of IT, we intend to contribute to the alignment between IT and organizational strategies. The challenge is to make the enterprise and its Information System (IS) as responsive as possible within the regard to changes in enterprise while taking into account the enterprise operational performance. When a change happens or a new opportunity comes, organizations do not know which assets are linked to which business processes and which services, especially IT services, to bring up first and which can wait until later. Our principal aim is to propose an indicator framework to track and control business-IT alignment. However, this paper is a preliminary study on this framework. We are inspired by COBIT 5 processes as indicators and believe that the Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) applied to these processes interlinks and can interact well the different processes. The validity and applicability of our theoretical study will be evaluated for future work.

Iterative threshold decoding of Quasi-Cyclic One Step Majority logic decodable codes 拟循环单步多数逻辑可译码的迭代阈值译码

This paper presents a new class of Quasi-Cyclic One Step Majority logic codes of 1/2 rate constructed from perfect difference set. Theses codes can be encoded with low complexity, and perform very well when decoded with the Iterative threshold decoding algorithm. Much of these codes is a subfamily of the LDPC codes and can be decoded using belief propagation algorithm. A comparison between our results and those for LDPC code in terms of BER performance are presented.

Android: Deep look into Dalvik VM Android:深入研究Dalvik VM

Today, Smartphones are very powerful, and many of its applications use wireless multimedia communications. Prevention from the external dangers (threats) has grown up to be a big concern for the experts these days. Android security has become a very important issue because of the unrestricted application it provides and the feature that make it very easy for anyone to develop and published it on Play store. Some work has previously been done on the Android security model, including numerous analyses of the model and frameworks aimed at enforcing security standards. In this article, we explain the architecture of Android operating system, we study and we look for a process model of Android's virtual machine Dalvik. We also study the liaison between the Dalvik virtual machine processes and the connection between the Dalvik processes and the processes of Android through analysis and research the role and the boot process of Zygote in Dalvik virtual machine startup process. This paper discusses an example of attacks based on Dalvik VM. By the end, we propose a simple system that can effectively detect Android's applications issues and solve them.

Big data: Measuring how information technology can improve the economic growth and better life 大数据:衡量信息技术如何促进经济增长和改善生活

Today data are equivalent of oil or gold, but Succeeding with big data requires more than just data. Data-based value creation requires the identification of a framework from which predictions can be deducted and decisions can be made. Lot of index has been developed to measure the state of development of countries whether economic growth, ICT penetration or Human development. The purpose of the measuring was to assess policy implications and economic growth around the globe as well as share best practices. In this paper we are going to compare the most wildly tools of measurement of economic competiveness, Network readiness, Human development and world press freedom. Those four domains are judged to be the pillars of well-being and good live of a Human. In the second part of this paper, we examine the hypothesis that ICT penetration has positive effects on economic growth, well-being and a better life of a Human. We use the system Generalized Method of Moment for dynamic panel data analysis to extract the causal link between ICT penetration and growth.

This paper proposes a collaborative system based on WebRTC technology to improve digital universities e-Learning environment. It allows teachers and students, through a web browser, to communicate via chat, audio and camera. It also supports file transfer and screen sharing for computer connected lab equipment. All these features are functional in an IP environment without need for Internet access. For its design and realization, we had to implement a WebRTC signalisation server to manage real-time applications, using the three WebRTC APIs: MediaStream for the acquisition and synchronization of audio and video, Peer Connection for communication between user's browsers and RTCDataChannel for file transfer, Chat and Screen Sharing.

Cognitive behavioural therapy embedding smoking cessation program using smart phone Technologies 认知行为疗法使用智能手机技术嵌入戒烟程序

Smoking cessation programs are widely implemented to assist smokers in the process of quitting smoking. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a psychological approach which is increasingly used in smoking cessation programs. On the other hand, the recent advancements in smartphone technologies have been widely explored to develop smoking cessation apps as a tool to assist with quitting smoking. However, most of existing smartphone apps lack follow up and adherence to clinical guidelines for treatment. Therefore, there is a need for implementing behavioral change mechanisms in smoking cessation apps to help smokers quit effectively. In this paper, the proposed model which combines mobile health technology and CBT methods for an effective smartphone app-based smoking cessation system is presented.

This paper deals with a numerical solution enabling universities to extend the functionality of their distance learning platform to improve not only their model of delivery of educational content but also their evaluation of learners' knowledge. Indeed, this paper proposes a solution for e-learning platform Moodle, to create virtual classrooms, integrating video, audio, chat, audio recording of different actors. This solution integrates an audio knowledge assessment tool for language courses and allows learners to learn to write or do online assignments requiring extensive use of symbols and mathematical tools. Our solution which is built around the WebRTC technology, is used directly with popular browsers without installing plugins as well as from computers as from smartphones and tablets. Our solution has been tested by the Virtual University of Senegal actors and allowed teachers of language and mathematics to assess students online as it should be without necessarily making use of multiple choice or having to modify the tests to take in charge the difficulties associated with the use of platforms for online assessments.
