The purpose of this research was to find out the eight grades students’ motivation in learning English after given rewards at the SMPN 3 Rambah. The students’ was low motivation in learning English. This research was design a descriptive qualitative research and there were 2 instruments were used in collecting the data. There are 2 instruments that is questionnaire and interview. The researcher used three classes. There were 60 samples joined in the research. The purpose of giving the questionnaire was to find out the students motivation in learning English after given reward and interview given was purposed to find out the students’ opinion of their English learning. The result of the research in the questionnaire showed that from 60samples of the research, there were 57 students can be classified have strong motivation in learning English after given rewards and there 3 students can be classified have fair motivation. The calculation was taken from the students’ answer in questionnaire and converted to the numeric score on Likert scale. Based on the finding of this research, the questionnaire score and classify it. The researcher found that the average of students questionnaire score was 78,8 and it means that their motivation averagely can be classified Good categories.

This study investigated words formation that found in the republika newspaper. The research was a descriptive qualitative research design . The object of this research was headline of Republika Newspaper. The instrumentation of the reserach was documentation. The data were consisted of 96 data The data were analyzed by using the theory of word formation (O’ Grady, 1996) The results of this research shown that 70 datawere classified as endocentric compound and transparent meaning and 26 data were categorized in exocentric compound and opaque meaning. Transparent meant that the meanings of the words could be predicted from the each of the word. Opaque meant that the meaning of words could not predicted from the each of word.

The pupose of this research is carried out in order to find out how far the influence of society to the students skills in English to the second year students of SMPN 5 Tandun in 2018/2019 academic year is. The library research is applied based on the needs of the books as the sources of the theories and informations, and the field research is applied on the need ofdata from the field, in this case from SMPN 5 Tandun. As the instrument for collection the data, the writer uses test. After getting the data, the next step which is done by the writer is analizing it by using the statistical analysis. The students‟ skill English are also influenced by other factors, like the students‟ motivation, interest, aptitute, the method applied by the teachers in teaching, the school facilities, the family factor, etc. After finishing collecting and analyzing the data it has been known that there is a significant influence of society to the students‟ skill to the second year students of SMPN 5 Tandun. It means that the hypothesis of this research is accepted.

This article discusses the meaning and types of English slangs found in the Ant Man Movie directed by Peyton Reed, produced by Wald Disney Studios Motion Pictures, 2015. The main object of the research was to find out themeaning of English slangs found in the Ant Man Movie and classify themdepending on its characteristics of English Slangs types. This research used a qualitative method. In Classifying the English Slangs, researchers used theory from Coleman that classifying English slangs into seven; English Slang changes in meaning, English Slang changes in function, English Slang change in form, English Slang created by abbreviation, English Slangchanges in spelling, Slangs loans and Slangs from imitating sound. Through this research, researchers found forty English Slangs in the Ant Man Movie; fourteen English Slangs created by changes in meaning, two English Slangs created by changes in, twelve English Slangs created by changes, five English Slangs created by abbreviation, seven English Slangs created bychanges in spelling, four English Slangs loans, and two English Slangs are from sound. English slangs are non-register language. It is more acceptable in daily life because it is fresher and simple in use.

This purpose of the research was to find out students’ speaking skill in midwifery students at third semester students of midwifery program in university of Pasir Pengraian. The kind of this research was descriptive qualitative only focus describing the data. The data got from documentation speaking practice of medical English. The researcher took the data fromdocumentation video. In collecting the data the researcher useddocumentation and speaking test to got the data. In analyzing the data the researcher used the components of speaking such as : pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, fluency and comprehension. The population of the research was third semester students academic 2018/2019 Midwifery StudyProgram, the sample of this research were 14 students. Based on the result of analysis, the researcher found 1 student (7%) had good score, 5 students (36%) had average score and 8 students (57%) had fair score.

The research was aimed at improving the teachers’ competence in managing their teaching administration effectively. At the beginning, it was found that majority of English teachers in SMA did not have complete the components of teaching Administration as suggested by the educational ministry regulation number 41/2007 in Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan (KTSP). It was because almost all English teachers did not know what they should prepare for their administration fulfillment. The research is a case study. The data collection of the study was gained through the activities of pre-observation, field notes, real observation, colleague coaching or training, and documentation. Those data were then analyzed using table of scores in the professional competence instrument. The steps taken to overcome the teachers’ teaching administration problems are among others by doing some strategies of coaching, guiding, discussing and socializing the standardized process of Indonesian National Standard of Education to English teachers. As a result of the study, from almost zero to hero, the teachers’ understanding and competences aboutteaching administration fulfillment raised, ranging from 29% to 87% (at the beginning to the end of the study). School supervisors are recommended to do similar research activities to prove the truth of the findings. For teachers, particularly English teachers, it is suggested that they change their mind set in managing their jobs. Finally, it is expected that this study will have good contribution to enhance the English teachers’ competences in managing their jobs.
本研究旨在提高教师有效管理教学行政的能力。一开始,我们发现SMA的大部分英语教师并没有按照教育部第41/2007号法规《Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan pendididikan (KTSP)》的要求完成教学管理的组成部分。这是因为几乎所有的英语教师都不知道他们应该为他们的管理实践准备什么。这项研究是个案研究。本研究的数据收集是通过预观察、实地记录、实际观察、同事指导或培训和记录等活动获得的。然后使用专业能力量表的得分表对这些数据进行分析。克服教师教学管理问题的措施包括对英语教师实施印尼国家教育标准的规范化过程进行辅导、引导、讨论和社会化等策略。研究的结果是,教师对教学管理履行的理解和能力从几乎为零到英雄,从29%上升到87%(研究开始到结束)。建议学校主管进行类似的研究活动,以证明研究结果的真实性。对于教师,特别是英语教师,建议他们改变管理工作的心态。最后,期望本研究能对提高英语教师的工作管理能力有所贡献。
