Effect of sample locations on computation of the exact scalar diffraction field (in English) 样品位置对精确标量衍射场计算的影响(双语出版)

Computer generated holography is one of common methods to obtain three-dimensional visualization. It can be explained by behavior of propagating waves and interference. To calculate the scalar diffraction pattern on a hologram, there are myriad of algorithms in the literature. Some of them employ several approximations, so the calculated fields may not be the exact scalar diffraction field. However, there are algorithms to compute the exact scalar diffraction field with some limitations on the distribution of the given samples over the space. These algorithms are based on “field model” approach. The performance of an algorithm, based on field model, is investigated according to the distribution of given samples over the space. From the simulations, it was observed that the cumulative information provided by the given samples has to be enough to solve the inverse scalar diffraction field. The cumulative information can be increased by having more samples, but there are some scenarios that differential information obtained from the given samples can be infinitesimal, thus the exact diffraction field may not be computed.

Emitter localization based on angle of arrival measurements using digital terrain elevation data 基于数字地形高程数据的到达角测量的发射器定位

In this paper, passive localization of an emitter by using its estimated azimuth and elevation angles, with a single moving platform is analyzed. Beyond angle of arrival measurements, the distance between target and platform is estimated by using stored digital terrain elevation data (DTED) and a better performance is achieved compared to the direction-finding (DF) only method. Location estimates found by different DF lines are combined by minimizing a defined cost function. Since this problem has not a closed-form solution, two different search algorithms are used: grid search and particle swarm optimization (PSO). Speed and performance of these two algorithms are compared. After initial position of the target is estimated, with a new measurement (azimuth and elevation angle), and the estimated distance information by using these measurements, target position is updated with Kalman filter.

Functional brain activity monitoring during Unmanned Aerial Vehicle coordination 无人机协调过程中脑功能活动监测

The efficiency and safety of many complex human-machine systems such as Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) are closely related to the cognitive workload and situational awareness of their operators. Subjective operator reports, physiological and behavioral measures are not reliably sensitive for monitoring cognitive overload. Drexel's Optical Brain Imaging Team has already developed a portable safe and cost-effective optical brain imaging method called functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIR) for monitoring the prefrontal cortex in clinical and field settings. The current study examined the relationship of the hemodynamic response in prefrontal cortex to mental workload, level of expertise, and task performance.

Classification of power quality event using wavelet transform and associaton rules 基于小波变换和关联规则的电能质量事件分类

In this paper, a classification system based on association rule to determine the types of power quality event is presented. Firstly, a single feature vector representing three phase event signal is obtained by applying the wavelet transform to event signals in this system. The inputs of generating association rules algorithm are obtained by applying proper transform process to these feature vectors. Later, obtained rules and support values belong to these rules are stored in a database and used for classification process. Then, power quality events obtained from ATP/EMTP software are applied to the proposed classification system. The results showed that proposed system has high classification accuracy.

Infinite mixture of piecewise linear sequences 分段线性序列的无限混合

In this paper, we present an infinite mixture model to partition short time series data. Components of this mixture model are piecewise linear sequences. The model is constructed using Chinese restaurant process and the posterior distribution over the sample assignments are calculated using collapsed Gibbs sampling. A piecewise linear sequence is represented by fewer parameters than its observations. Thus, the mean parameter of the likelihood is obtained by applying a matrix transformation on the component parameters. This matrix is constructed by a special method according to the rules that define our piecewise linear sequences.

Performances of Zigzag coding with high-level modulations on WiMAX system WiMAX系统中高级调制之字形编码的性能

The WiMAX which is a technology of OFDM base provides wireless communication from one-point to multi-point. In this study, for fixed and mobile WiMAX systems performance analysis of different modulation types and Zigzag encoder schemes is investigated. One of the important advantages of the error correction codes has no need re-transmission of data packets. The results of proposed Zigzag-coded modulation show that they have a good performance at least other techniques.

Miniarutized and lightweight automotive antenna design for vehicle to vehicle communication 用于车对车通信的小型化、轻量化汽车天线设计

In this paper, automotive antenna design for vehicle to vehicle communication is proposed. Antenna design is based on elliptical geometry by utilizing the self-similarity of the fractal concepts. The initiator is an elliptical shape based vertical to horizontal ratio of about 3:1. The proposed antenna is a combination of two reproduced elliptical shape placed at +/- 30 degrees to the central point of the initiator. Antenna is miniaturized (42 × 34 mm2) and lightweight with efficient characteristics. Simulation results show that the presented antenna has a reflection coefficient characteristic better than -17.5 dB, 70% radiation efficiency, 4-6dBi antenna gain and omni-directional radiation pattern properties over the 75 MHz of 802.11p standard (5.85 - 5.925 GHz).

A hyperspectral approach to color complexity 色彩复杂性的高光谱方法

In the color cognition process of a scene, there is no use of the atmosphere, surface reflectance and illuminant interaction. Therefore, the color perception is blind. The color perception in human brain is directly related to the response of retinal photodetector tissues. Are there only three detectors in the retina; Red, Green, Blue detectors; or are there many? Is spectral band clustering related to color perception? These are some of the questions we like to address. In this study, hierarchical band clustering is applied to the scenes obtained with visible band hyperpsectral cameras and tentative approach is proposed for color complexity.

The calculation of target poles with wavelet transform for electromagnetic target discrimination 用小波变换计算目标极点,用于电磁目标识别

In this paper, a method oriented to the extraction of target poles is presented for target recognition purpose. By applying wavelet transform to whole signal, the mention method obtains target poles with a map extracted in time and frequency axes simultaneously. For this purpose, with complex Morlet wavelet transform, a map having sufficient resolutions in both axes is obtained by multiplying two maps, one using narrowband and another using wideband mother wavelet. The peaks in the frequency axis of the resulting map give the oscillation coefficients of the poles, and the attenuations in time axis give the damping coefficients of the poles. In this study, the method is initially applied for a dielectric sphere whose pole values can be analytically calculated and it is observed that the calculated pole results are highly consistent with theoretical values especially with respect to oscillation coefficients. Afterwards, for target discrimination purpose, the method is applied to two small-scale airplane targets whose pole values are theoretically unknown and it is shown that although the dimensions of airplanes are very close, their pole values are considerably different.

The peaks in the frequency axis of the resulting map give the oscillation coefficients of the poles, and the attenuations in time axis give the damping coefficients of the poles. In this study, the method is initially applied for a dielectric sphere whose pole values can be analytically calculated and it is observed that the calculated pole results are highly consistent with theoretical values especially with respect to oscillation coefficients. Signal decomposition via mixed-norm regularization 混合范数正则化信号分解

In this work, we propose an analysis prior based method for decomposition of tonal and transient parts of audio signals. The proposed method uses the diversity of distributions of audio signals in time-frequency representations. Problem is formulated as an inverse problem which is regularized by analysis priors. The approach in this work is an alternative to synthesis prior based methods which are proposed before.
