With the continuous integration of information technology and traditional teaching methods, E-learning has gradually become a hot research topic. Our paper first introduces the background, E-learning behaviour(ELB)features and the necessities of ELB assessment. Then the research focuses on information collection and preservation of student ELB information using wireless Internet web services. The agent technology and statistical analysis methods are applied on student ELB to evaluate ELB findings within the context of behaviour theory and behavioural science. Finally, we conclude the value of this ELB study through correspondence analysis.

An e-tourism system based on SCA is designed and implemented, which can provide full services for tourists and decision support for tourism managers. This system accords with the designing requirements of standardization, compatibility and flexibility, and has the advantages of loosely coupling with components, seamlessly sharing resource and flexibly extending functions.

Although semantic similarity has been broadly applied in artificial intelligence and related fields, the calculation of such similarity still remains a great challenge, appealing for the development of effective methods that can be flexibly applied to a diversity of domains. In this paper, we first review existing methods that rely on an ontology to calculate semantic similarity. We classify these methods into three categories: methods based on the structure of an ontology, methods based on the information content of an ontology, and methods that utilize multiple properties of an ontology in a hybrid manner, and we analyze the advantages and limitations of these methods. Then, we propose a novel method called DOPCA that relies on the structure of an ontology to calculate semantic similarity. Our method combines two similarity measures, the degrees of overlap in paths (DOP) and the depth of the lowest common ancestor node (DLCA), and uses their weighted summation to quantify the relatedness of terms in an ontology. We apply our method to the gene ontology (GO) and the plant ontology (PO), and we show the well agreement of our method with two existing methods. Finally, we show that our method is capable of overcoming the limitation of existing methods that overlook the existence of multiple lowest common ancestor nodes, and we analyze the flexibility of our method when applied to ontologies of different domains.

This paper discusses several of the SOC(System on chip) and NOC (Network on chip) power issues pertaining to DPM(dynamic power management), and how these issues were resolved in a SOC embedded DSP (Digital signal processor). In the analysis of the description of SOC system state power, we proposed a power matrix of SOC, and a dynamic programming (DP) optimization algorithm for multi-state, multi-layer, multi-path model of one DSP embedded in a SOC. We illustrate the system-level power optimization strategy of DPM and simulation executing process. The results show that the system significantly reduced power consumption.

Teaching software engineering has been a challenging topic. Students gain little practical experience in issues regarding software process in a typical software engineering course, although relevant theories are usually taught in lectures. The lack of practical experience is a bottleneck for effective learning of software engineering. It is almost impossible for students to understand the real concerns of practitioners without adequate practices. Consequently, they are not able to correctly apply the concepts or techniques, which is an important reason why they are regarded as being inexperienced. In addition, to develop increasingly sophisticated software, the IT industry keeps demanding better-prepared software engineering graduates. To address this issue, we developed a teaching method for software engineering course based on the Problem-Based Learning principles. This paper introduces the method, presents our experiences, and discusses the lessons learned.

Internet with current and emerging multimedia features provides ample opportunities and particularly useful for dealing with intangible nature of the service, and transforming marketing mix. This study utilizes content analysis to analyze the websites of a group of museums in Macau in terms of web design characteristics (interactivity, technology, information functionality, and marketing practices). This study also investigates museum image representation on the web based on museum types. The findings showed that the museums in Macau are not utilizing the Internet to its full potential and effectively e-marketing their museums regardless of the museum type.

Rich Internet Applications (RIAs) offer a rich, engaging experience that improves user satisfaction and increases productivity. Using the broad reach of the Internet, RIAs can be deployed across browsers and desktops. Smart GWT is a GWT-based framework that facilitates the development of RIAs. However, Smart GWT only focuses on presentation layer, but not on all layers which RIAs usually have. This paper introduces the Rapid Application Development Framework, or RADF, which helps construct RIA effectively and efficiently. Based on Smart GWT, RADF delivers the same features and functions normally associated with desktop applications. Moreover, it could accelerate the development process of Web-based application by pre built frameworks and templates. The case based on RADF also verifies its practicability and flexibility.

The main popular vectorization methods for the SIMD extension dig the parallelism of the programs relying on the compiler's data dependence analysis. But the data dependence analysis can not deal with the non-structured control flow statements. Therefore, the up-to-date compilers are extremely limited to vectorize these statements. Here is a vectorization method of the export branch for the SIMD extension, which can automatically and effectively vectorize the export branch within the vector length. And the results of performance test show that this method can both fully ensure the semantic correctness of the control flow and exploit the parallelism of the data flow.

In the resting state, the fMRI data were collected and preprocessed in patients with schizophrenia. Used the correlation analysis of seed and T-test method, the brain functional networks were constructed based on the complex network theory, and the statistical properties of the networks were analyzed. The result showed that the brain functional network had significant small-world properties in patients with schizophrenia. The study also indicated that the model of complex network is a very useful tool and new perspective for analysing the brain functional network in the overall perspective. The finding makes a better understanding of the neurophysiological mechanism of schizophrenia.

This paper presents a graphical application for the Data Mining Preparation Markup Language (DMPML), which is an XML application designed to represent the data preparation phase of the KDD process. DMPML supports the reuse of data preprocessing directives using XSLT to map raw data into data ready to be used by many data mining algorithms. The application presented here, DMPML-TS, automates the data preparation phase, speeding up the codification and transformation of data, and providing support to facilitate the use of different data mining algorithms in the same and/or similar data, based on their codification stored in separate XML documents. This paper also presents improvements made to DMPML like the adoption of XRFF for input and output data and the use of only one XSLT file for data transformation. We also present the integration of DMPML-TS and KDDML, an XML language used to represent data, mining models, and queries.
