Kars İlinde Güneş Enerjisi Santrali Kurulum Potansiyeli Taşıyan Alanların, CBS Analizleri ve AHP Yöntemi Kullanılarak Belirlenmesi

Determining where to install solar panels and power plants is a very complex and difficult to analyze spatial decision-making problem series. In order to solve this series of problems, Multi-Criteria Decision-Making methods integrated into Geographic Information Systems software have been preferred in recent years. This study aims to determine the areas with solar energy production potential in the Kars province. In the research, thematic maps were created for the purpose of processed research by obtaining data from various open sources in order to analyze the determined criteria that affect the location selection of areas with solar energy production potential. Based on the criteria weights calculated by AHP analysis from these maps, suitable areas with potential for solar power plant installation in the province of Kars were mapped in the GIS environment. As a result of the research, an area of 54,581 km2, which is very suitable and suitable for solar power plant installation in Kars province, has been determined and these lands constitute 55 % of the province’s surface area with a total surface area of 10,193 km2. The lands with potential for solar power plant installation in the Kars province show a homogeneous distribution.

Antalya Döşemealtı İlçesinde Küçükbaş Hayvan Barınakları Yatakların Yerleşme ve Kır Meskenleri Açısından Değerlendirilmesi

Rural settlements and dwellings are one of the most discussed subjects in human geography. They are one of the subjects that demonstrate little change over a long time in terms of definitions, naming, and qualities, but however, greatly vary over short distances. This study highlights the attributes of the sheepcote (yatak) settlements in the Dosemealti district of Antalya province, and analyzes the importance of sheepcotes for rural settlement. The study aims to reveal the functional features of the sheepcote settlements in the region, the factors affecting the selection of the establishment site, the materials used, and the actions in the sheepcotes. Qualitative research methods were used in the study, and field research, interview, and document analysis studies were carried out. Primarily, the relevant literature was reviewed, and later field studies at different times were conducted; detailed interviews were conducted with sheepcote owners, who were found to have been using sheepcotes for sheep and goat farming activities for years. The sheepcotes’ distribution determined in field studies was mapped using the ArcGIS 10.4.1 program.

Havran Lagünü’nde (Balıkesir) Ekolojik Risk Seviyesinin Zamansal Değişimi

The Havran Lagoon is formed at the mouth of the Havran Stream in the Havran district of Balıkesir, located on the Aegean Sea coast. This study aimed to investigate the ecological effects of element pollution on the lagoon caused by rapidly increasing anthropogenic activities in the region. In this context, 34 cm-long core was taken from the Havran Lagoon, and then to determine their role in the transport processes of the elements, chlorophyll degradation products and total organic carbon analysis were performed. Element concentration analyzes were performed with ICP-MS at the Bureau Veritas Analytical Laboratory (Canada). The European Union’s (EU) Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance on Rural Development (IPARD) program that came into effect in 2007 has been applied in Türkiye since 2011. The aim of IPARD is to increase the amount of regionally suitable investments through local initiatives. In this respect, IPARD has great potential to act as leverage in agriculture and rural development. However, this evaluation must figure out how these grants are utilized.
