For this project the Post-Commissioning process was implemented in the air conditioning equipment located at the Clínica Universitaria Bolivariana (CUB) of the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, Medellín, Colombia. The equipment available in the institution, must comply with all the stipulations of the American Society of Engineering, Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning (ASHRAE) for these areas, and must comply with all the requirements of air quality that apply to clinics and hospitals. These rules are necessary and although in Colombia are not obligatory, its compliance should be applied, as clinics and hospitals are considered high-risk areas of infection, and its compliance is intended to prevent the spread and growth of microorganisms potentially pathogenic for patients, visitors or people working in the company. All the work performed established that the current state of equipment available in the institution, based on the information obtained from the interventions made during the equipment maintenance in the last twelve months; with this information it is possible to display an overview of compliances or non-compliances of the legal requirements established for this purpose and to be able to generate improvement plans in the institution.

Teleoperated systems are becoming more present in medical applications. Its use goes from patients rehabilitation, medication storage and the management of biological hazardous materials, to minimally invasive surgery. This paper, presents the implementation of an Android based mobile application -Asimov- for remote control of an industrial robotic arm KUKA KR6, through WiFi technology. The application is a control tool for the robotic manipulator as an alternative to the Teach Pendant system provided by the manufacturer. The application functions and additional options are presented. Tests to nine people including health area personnel were performed, aiming to compare Asimov and Teach Pendant System. The evaluation of the results and the use of Wilcoxon signed rank test allowed to appreciate a better assessment for Asimov in the following criteria: ease of learning, usability, graphic interface and comfort. Significant differences in the last two benchmarks were found.

The elderly population has increased in recent years, leading to increased prevalence and incidence of chronic-degenerative diseases, leading to cognitive impairment. A new trend of intervention used by health professionals have been using technological resources in their clinical practices. The objective of this study was to compare the impact of two programs of cognitive stimulation. A program is composed of traditional techniques and the other by inserting a computer system with games called Promoting Cognitive Performance - ProDC. An experimental study with the elderly aged 60 or older, of both sexes, classified with mild cognitive impairment or mild dementia through the Clinical Dementia Rating (CDR). There were no statistically significant differences between groups. However, the results revealed important aspects to be discussed in the use of technological resources, such as games.

Apply telemetry in biomedical signal monitoring allows to control parameters continuously patients preventing future health complications and increasing the efficiency of the medical staff, through these systems, can serve more patients at a time. This article discusses the importance of telemetry in biomedical signal monitoring and designing a prototype with a Bluetooth transmission module electrocardiographic signal (ECG). The design presented ranging from the digitization of the signal and its transmission via bluetooth to your reception and visualization software implemented in Android supervisor. In testing apparatus is employed for amplifying the ECG signal (which is in the order of millivolts) to a voltage range suitable for scanning. Emphasizes not cover the acquisition stage of the signal it is assumed that the signal is amplified.

The constant demand of healthcare has led to different technological sectors to consider new mechanisms that facilitate the monitoring of vital signs. This work is in the context of the development of a monitoring system that consist of multiparameter acquisition elements that have a power consumption of 1,5 W. It is a portable device with a size of 66 mm × 20 mm × 70 mm, displays its readings in a local touchscreen module and in a computer located remotely through a wireless module.
