Control The Wastage of Electricity Using GSM Controller 利用GSM控制器控制电能的浪费

This paper proposed a new way to control home or industrial electrical appliances by using missed call based GSM technology. This system is very useful in home and industry automation. The main controlling unit is microcontroller, GSM SIM 900 (for communication purpose) and the relay circuits that is used for switching (ON/OFF) the electrical appliances. In this system communication part is done by using GSM SIM 900, which gives signal to the microcontroller. Controlling system is reach by using ATMEGA 328 P PU Microcontroller, which works on the how many rings received by the controller and accordingly switching operation is done by using relay circuitry. This system works on missed call based approach and gives free of cost communication, which is the best part of this system. This system can also give a feedback as per the user requirement towards the controlling or switching (ON/OFF) the electrical appliances.

A Survey on OFDM Interference Challenge to improve its BER 提高OFDM误码率的干扰挑战研究

Generation of wireless network from past to present deals with many fatal problems such as - spectrum scarcity, lower data rates, power deficiency, synchronization, unfavorable diversity, inferior QoS, and Interference. Many of the above problems are resolved in some manner using a better modulation and multiplexing technique using Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM), however, it still interlocks with Interference hindrance. In the paper, we surveyed all about OFDM interference's - Inter Symbol Interference (lSI), Inter Carrier Interference (ICI) and Co- Channel Interference (CCI) which greatly inhibits the Bit Error Rate (BER) of OFDM. Moreover, this paper also reviews some of the good research on interference mitigation techniques. We also surveyed the work on wavelet transform which is quite effective in OFDM system compare to conventional Fourier transform. Channel coding is a measurable parameter which is a mere technique in reducing the CCI effect from the wireless system, for that we elaborate Space Time Block Code-OFDM (STBC-OFDM) to reduce ICI and CCI.

Development of Clinical Detection System for Tonic-Clonic Seizures using New Wearable Sensors 基于新型可穿戴传感器的强直阵挛发作临床检测系统的研制

This paper presents the development and testing of a new wireless body area network (WBAN) designed specifically for remote patient monitoring for detection of generalized tonic-clonic seizures (GTCS). The WBAN is comprised of four, triaxial accelerometer sensors worn on arms and legs. Commercial medical sensor modules were used as benchmarks to validate and calibrate the wearable sensors data. Each sensor is communicating with Linux based platform via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) network. Graphical User Interface (GUI) was developed using Python Software to display the collected real-time sensors data. A new digital signal processing routine for seizure detection was created using Matlab software. This routine is employing multi-feature techniques based on Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) and moving average window to analyze data samples with minimal processing time. The average windowed samples are compared periodically with pre-set empirical threshold values every second on each axis for the four sensor nodes. An alert is generated once seizure is detected at base station where Short Message Service (SMS) and instant email will be sent to the medical health staff. The real-time data is stored in secured medical database for future reference and analysis. The final WBAN prototype was demonstrated using healthy volunteers mimicking tonic-clonic seizure symptoms to test overall system performance. The system is also approved for future clinical trials in Canada, and pilot clinical demonstrations have been achieved.

IoT Based Domestic Fish Feeder 基于物联网的家用喂鱼器

The people having domestic pet fish are in distress when they aren't in town to feed and take care of their fish. This may lead to overfeeding or starvation of the fish without feed. Currently there are Arduino based systems that could serve the purpose with scheduled feeding of the fish. But the owners will be still in distress for not knowing the condition of the fish from their remote locations. So, to relax this distress, the project aims for a model that remotely monitors the fish in the tank. Our proposed system consists of mechanical, electrical and communication components integrated with IoT (Internet of Things). The mechanical part consists of the stepper motor controlled by the Raspberry Pi B+ via web interface, which can dispense food pellets via appropriate rotations of the container containing the food pellets as per the care-taker's preference. The electrical part consists of a Raspberry Pi B+ module and a pi-camera, which provides web interface and the realtime video data collection of fish. The web interface consists of the user fixed scheduling, feeding data, live streaming of fish, etc. There are two modes of feeding-remotely (manual) by web interface or via pre-scheduled feeding time set by the care-taker. In scheduled feeding, the care-taker must fix the schedule in the web page. In the manual feeding, the user must feed the fish remotely via the web interface. In short, the module can be used for scheduled feeding of the fish or remotely feed via web interface.

eNodeB configuration, performance and fault management for coverage optimization eNodeB配置、性能和故障管理,实现覆盖优化

As the demand for LTE networks keeps on increasing day by day the necessity to improve the service with the current available infrastructure is one of the key measures to be taken into consideration. The initial configuration set up, the performance of the system once installed and the rectification of faults all play a major role in this process. This paper discusses the configuration, performance and fault management of eNodeBs in the current LTE environments and then a NetSim simulation based study is presented on the concept of coverage optimization considering relays. The throughput and delay is analyzed for various scenarios. Using relays is an option for overcoming coverage hole issue as proved in the paper.

Visual Cryptography based Grayscale Image Watermarking in DWT domain 基于视觉密码的DWT域灰度图像水印

Watermarking is a technique to protect the copyrights of digital media like image, audio, video, etc. Visual Cryptography (VC) is a scheme for hiding information in still images. The Visual Cryptography Scheme splits the secret image into unintelligible images, these images are called shares. The shares are distributed to ‘n’ participants. Any ‘k’ shares out of ‘n’ reveal the secret image and less than ‘k’ shares recover no information about secret. Amalgamating Visual cryptography with watermarking yields the best solution for resolving image ownership disputes and detection of infringements of copyrights. In this paper, (2,2) VC scheme is employed, one of the shares is embedded in the low frequency domain of DWT and the other share is registered with the Trusted Authority(TA). The secret image is obtained by performing XOR operation on the two shares. The experimental results revealed that the proposed scheme can not only prove the ownership of image but also withstand various image processing attacks.

Geographically, a city is characterized as a patchwork of intensive land-uses. Land-use is the rational and judicious approach of allocating available land resources for different activities (such as settlements, arable fields, pastures, and managed woods) within a city. It is a way of utilizing the land, including the allocation, planning, and management of its resources. The use of a particular patch of land and its physical character are linked. However, research that establishes this link is lacking despite the proliferation of geospatial data. Linking a city's physical form with its function is the goal of this paper.

Analysis and Comparison of DC - DC Converter Topologies for the Design and Development of a Solar Based Inverterless System 基于太阳能的无逆变系统设计与开发中DC - DC变换器拓扑结构的分析与比较

The different DC - DC Converter topologies such as Buck - Boost Converter, Boost Converter, Buck Converter, Sepic Converter and the Phase Shifted Full Bridge DC - DC Converter have been examined and dealt with in this paper. Comparison, study as well as simulation of these topologies have been done for the implementation of a topology best suited for the Solar based inverterless system. The performance parameters are Output Voltage, Output Current and Efficiency and the necessary waveforms corresponding to these parameters have been simulated. The system can be exclusively built for DC loads as DC systems consume half the power required by the AC Systems and the unnecessary conversions are avoided due to which the efficiency and reliability of the system is highly increased. The analysis and simulations have been done on the MATLAB’17 software.

Wi-Fi Based Central Protection Center for Microgrids 基于Wi-Fi的微电网中央保护中心

A microgrid is a localized grouping of electricity sources and loads i.e. it is a small-scale power grid that normally operates connected to the centralized grid but can also disconnect and function autonomously. This papers proposes a LabVIEW based Central Protection Center (CPC) that remotely monitors a grid-connected microgrid using a wireless medium. The microgrid is divided into zones for ease of monitoring. The CPC is capable of continuously capturing the current status of the grid in a zonalised manner. If a fault is diagnosed by the central protection center, then it issues appropriate overcurrent relay coordination to the microgrid network.

An Automated Garage Door and Security Management System (A dual control system with VPN IoT & Biometric Database) 自动车库门及安全管理系统(VPN物联网+生物识别数据库双控系统)

Internet of Things (IoT) have revolutionized the entire way in which the industry operates. The authenticity and entry access to certain places of the industry plays a crucial role in maintaining the secrecy of the operations. Therefore providing limited access to such confidential places proves to be seemingly vital. The proposed work provides a dual security mechanism against unauthorized entry and hence enhances the integrity of the system. This system thus eradicates the common security threats such as Spoofing, Repudiation and trafficking from evaders especially in the current scenario of industry 4.0. This system uses two techniques for the controlled access. One via a fingerprint access that utilizes the raspberry pi3 and a biometric database system for control. This method is a thorough hardware based solution and could be utilized when there is a physical presence of a person. In case if the authenticator is not available in the arena, the alternate mechanism would be followed to provide a secured access authenticity through Virtual Point Network (VPN) & IoT. The utility of VPN facilitates the personnel to prove his / her credentials from any remote location. Thus this dual mode system provides a highly credential entry / exit system in an industrial arena.
