In this article, the existing relationship between the elements that compose the structure of a research: question, hypotheses, objectives and statistical analyses are analyzed. Emphasis is placed on the interrelation that each of these elements must possess, which become the foundation of each phase that is being built in an investigation. When talking about the research question, mention is made of the scientific question that arises after having identified a gap in a line of research. The next element into consideration are the hypotheses, this article deep into the hypotheses of descriptive type, correlation, comparison of groups, causality and intervention. When comes to talk about the research objectives, there will be mentioned thedegree of complexity of each verb that must be used according to the statistical analyses that will be conducted. The work is closed considering the need for an investigation which must be configured as a machinery, where each gear must allow the study executed have a harmonious presentation.

The phenomenon of adolescent suicide involves social and contextual issues that need to be enriched in a specialized literature, so the aim of the current research was to know the social risk and protective factors associated with this problem. A qualitative study was conducted through focus groups conformed by students, teachers and psychotherapists, chosen through a convenience sampling. Through qualitative data coding, emerged as social risk factors mass media, especially the internet, as well as been involved in a bullying situation. On the other hand, factors such as peer group, school and social context were identified as elements that can represent both risk and protective factors. It is discussed, the need of taking actions in order to develop positive interactions from a health promotion approach.

The objective was to report the psychometric properties of the Plutchik Suicide Risk Scale in prison sample. Method, non-experimental and correlational quantitative research. Sample: 395 young people deprived of freedom, 84.1% men and 15.9% women, the age range was 15 to 29 years. It was taken from five penitentiary institutions in Jalisco, Mexico. Instruments: Plutchik Suicide Risk Scale and Beck’s Hopelessness Scale. Results, the Cronbach’s alpha of the scale was .745, the confirmatory factorial showed an optimal fit, the approach’s error average square root (RMSEA .9) was .949. This scale demonstrated adequate psychometric properties, which is why it is an ideal instrument to identify the risk of suicide.

This paper presents the design and implementation of a executive functions’ stimulation program in a socially vulnerable population. The population was composed of 18 children between 6 and 11 years old, of both genders, who attend to Las Lilas Health Post (Pilar, Argentina), which were evaluated before and after the program’s implementation with the argentine adaptation of the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children WISC-IV. The stimulation was done through a specially made booklet to work the executive functions (working memory, cognitive flexibility, inhibition and planning). This pilot program allowed to build a nexus with the community, forming a institutional framework, on which new intervention programs are supported for the same population.
