The influence of 3D-printing modes on the quality of threaded surfaces of printed parts made of ABS and PLA plastic has been studied. Recommendations on the choice of 3D-printing parameters were developed. The technology of installation of threaded inserts for parts operated under various climatic conditions was examined.

The main methods of repair of body parts, their advantages and disadvantages are considered. It is shown that repairs using polymer composite materials can be carried out not only within the framework of a repair enterprise, but also in the field.

When manufacturing parts, it is important to consider the conditions in which they will operate and the loads that will effect on them. The study of the impact strength of parts with a cellular structure, manufactured, using a 3D-printer, and strengthened by the introduction of reinforcing components (component strengthening) into them is discussed. A comparison of the results obtained with different types of a filler, as well as an investigation of the dependence of the impact strength on the type of a filler and the percentage of filling with the main material are presented.

The composition and features of the manufacture of specimens of epoxy-sand composite used during the field repair of road construction machines are considered. The results of determining the influence of the preparation quality of a metal surface on resistance of the epoxy-sand coating to aggressive media are presented. It is shown that the quality of the filler preparation does not affect the coating resistance to aggressive media. It was found out that specimens with a pre-treated surface before applying the epoxy-sand composite coating showed the best resistance to aggressive media.

The assessment methodology for manufacturability of fiberglass parts in conditions of small-scale and repair production is given. Materials based on epoxy binders, the curing of which takes place at elevated temperature, were used as objects of the investigation. To compare manufacturability of various molding processes, composites based on dispersed fillers and thermoplastic matrices are also considered. The results of expert assessments of manufacturability are presented, which show that molding processes consisting of similar technological operations in terms of content, differ significantly in cost and material intensity.
