This paper studies the enhanced integrated network management, which aims at a hybrid network that consists of multiple transport networks and provides a uniform application network logically. A uniform management model concerned network device and service is proposed, which is hierarchical and multiagent-based. With this model, an integrated network management system (INMS) is developed. The prototype system can not only monitor various devices connected by multiple transport networks including satellite network and ground wired networks but also manage some services such as normal business activities and properties of all managed objects. The experimental running shows its rationality and efficiency, and can provider a set of configurable management tools to adapt complex networking environment

Increased interactivity is a general tendency for telecommunication services today, an aspect, which is also reflected in the more traditional distribution services like television. The broadcasting has been handicapped by the limited capacity of analog delivery and one-way delivery. In the transition to digital TV broadcasting infrastructures rapidly, all people want to experience new services such as interactive data broadcasting and to choose, sort, order, store and manipulate what they receive on their same terminal at home. Consequently, we propose the design of Web-based return channel system, which is so called WRCS. This is aim efficiently to manage many connections between STBs(terminal) and return channel system for interactions of many users, to handle multiple Java applications for dispersion and to create easily the various services like Web services. As a result of that, this becomes to mature as well as Web system, which has been stable, verified and powerful technology. And if it is developed by using Web technologies, it is possible to establish interactive return channel system shortly. WRCS is composed of three style servers The first, the Web servers maintain session control management with HTTP and TCP/IP protocols and TLS with SEED algorithm based on A/96, ACAP standard. Secondly, application servers support to work on real Java or HTML interactive applications according to broadcasting schedules. Thirdly, database servers work to storage mainly for offering the information of broadcast terminal, user, broadcast schedules, and so on. One of the distinguishing features of the WRCS is the developed technology provided by EJB platform for reusing.

Satellite communication(SATCOM) system is to be applied in the Communication, Oceanographic, and Meteorological Satellite-1 (COMS-1). ETRI has completed the preliminary design effort for the SATCOM project - an effort which included clarifying requirements, refining mission description and operation, determining the configuration of the payload, and anticipating subsystem performances, schedules, costs, and so on. This paper includes an overview of the project work, and the preliminary design of the Ka-band communication payloads in point of RF performances. A recommendation for future work is also included to aid subsequent projects associated with SATCOM system

In this paper, adaptive equalizer receiver for a turbo code direct sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) by using least mean square (LMS) adaptive algorithm is presented. The proposed adaptive equalizer is based on finite impulse response (FIR) filter structure in which included conventional adaptive equalizer, decision feedback adaptive equalizer and feedback adaptive equalizer. The objective of the proposed equalizer is to minimize the bit error rate of the data due to the disturbances of noise and intersymbol interference phenomenon on the channel of the digital communication system. The computer simulation results shown that the proposed feedback adaptive equalizer provides a good bit error rate than the others one such as conventional adaptive equalizer, decision feedback adaptive equalizer

Information system plays an important role in modern society, and its performance of survivability is a vital attribute for people. Based on the relation between the system and environment, the survivability analysis model is divided into three models: environment, system and analysis model. Then, survivability is computed through resistance, recognition and recovery under each environment and the system should stand by a hierarchical analysis process. Finally, the general analysis method is given to describe the entire process of analyzing the survivability of the information system. This paper presents an effective error concealment method for error-corrupted H.264/AVC video bitstreams over cdma2000 (or UMTS) air interface. The proposed hybrid error concealment method performs selective error concealment depending on whether a lost macroblock is intra-coded or inter-coded and whether it belongs to background or foreground. It is shown that under FMO coding mode of H.264/AVC, the proposed method increases PSNR gain up to 1.2 dB compared to built-in algorithm in the H.264/AVC test model. In addition, the proposed algorithm shows better PSNR than other conventional error concealment algorithms

The mobile agent paradigm is an important and promising technology to structure distributed applications. Since the mobile agent physically moves to a remote host that is under the control of a different principal, it needs to be protected from this environment which is responsible for its execution. This problem constitutes the major difficulty for using the mobile agent paradigm for privacy protection and is explored in great detail. In this paper, we provide the methodology of protecting the mobile agents from unauthorized modification for the program code or data by malicious hosts. One important technique is an integrity-based encryption, by which a mobile agent, while running on the remote host, checks itself to verify that it has not been modified and conceals some privacy sensitive parts of the mobile agent
