Defected Ground Structure of UWB Chipless RFID Tag for FMCW Radar 用于FMCW雷达的UWB无芯片RFID标签的缺陷接地结构

In this paper, a radio frequency identification (RFID) reader architecture composed of two signal generators, a mixer, an amplifier, and a low-pass filter (LPF) for reading a 2-bit chipless RFID tag is proposed. This tag consists of integrated microstrip and defected ground structure (DGS) with U-slot resonator to realize compact 2-bit design, and these slotline resonators can provide transmission zeros. The reader is a frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) radar, which interrogates a tag and decodes the tag’s identification data.

An Energy-Aware and Time-Efficient Adaptive Multi-tree Anti-collision Protocol for RFID Systems 一种能量感知且时间高效的RFID系统自适应多树防碰撞协议

Being a non-contact and low-instructive technology, RFID has gained great popularity in IoT applications. For fast recognition and long lifetime of devices, the energy-aware and time-efficient anti-collision protocol is of vital significance in RFID environment of dense tag population. In this paper, we propose an adaptive multi-tree anti-collision protocol, mainly concentrating on reducing the recognition time and energy consumption. The proposed protocol utilizes the number of collided tags to select the search mode. And by designing a new bit-detecting mechanism based on the bit-locking and backtracking strategies and applying it into different search modes, the proposed protocol can efficiently reduce the transmitted bits and identification time. The simulation results prove that the proposed protocol outperforms the common existed algorithms in the aspect of time efficiency and energy consumption.

Compact Balanced Dual-Band Bandpass Filter Based on Sub-wavelength CRLH Resonator for RFID and 5G Application 基于亚波长CRLH谐振器的紧凑型平衡双带带通滤波器在RFID和5G中的应用

In this paper, a planar sub-wavelength resonator constructed by interdigital capacitors and meander microstrip line is presented. Under differential-mode (DM) excitation, the planar sub-wavelength resonator is virtually connected to ground, it is equivalent to composite right/left-handed transmission-Line (CRLH-TL) resonator. Under common-mode (CM) excitation, the common modes (CMs) are far away from the DMs, which can introduce good CM suppression. Based on this resonator, a balanced dual-Band bandpass filter (BPF) with ultra-compact size and perfect CM suppression is proposed, two center frequencies are located at 2.4 GHz and 3.6 GHz, respectively. The simulated and measured results show perfect DM response and high CM suppression. This balanced dual-band filter can be used in microwave -RFID and 5G application.

In this paper, a novel widely linear minimum-mean-square-error (MMSE) anti-collision receiver for passive ultra high frequency (UHF) multi-antenna radio-frequency identification (RFID) systems is proposed. By establishing that real-world tag signals are essentially noncircular in the complex filed, the proposed widely linear estimator is proven to have better performance in recovering data from collision when compared with its linear counterpart. Simulations on tags in conflicting response is conducted, justifying the performance advantages of the proposed receiver over the conventional linear one.

An Emerging Application Centric RFID Framework Based on New Web Technology 基于新Web技术的新兴应用中心RFID框架

In the context of emerging applications such as IoT, an RFID framework that can dynamically incorporate, identify, and seamlessly regulate the RFID tags is considered exciting. Earlier RFID frameworks developed using the older web technologies were limited in their ability to provide complete information about the RFID tags and their respective locations. However, the new and emerging web technologies have transformed this scenario and now framework can be developed to include all the required flexibility and security for seamless applications such as monitoring of RFID tags. This paper revisits and proposes a generic scenario of an RFID framework built using latest web technology and demonstrates its ability to customize using an application for tracking of personal user objects. This has been shown that the framework based on newer web technologies can be indeed robust, uniform, unified, and integrated.

A Wideband Circularly Polarized Patch Antenna Using λ/4 and λ/2 Resonators 采用λ/4和λ/2谐振腔的宽带圆极化贴片天线

A wideband circularly polarized (CP) patch antenna with enhanced axial ratio (AR) bandwidth via co-design of feeding network is proposed in this paper. One$lambda$ /4 resonator and one $lambda$ /2 resonator are introduced and coupled in proximity to two orthogonal points of a square patch radiator to excite two orthogonal modes. These two resonators not only function as impedance matching elements to achieve equal magnitude of two orthogonal modes in a wide frequency band, but also provide the required 90° phase difference. In this way, two minima in the AR response appear, resulting in extended AR bandwidth. Simulated results demonstrate that 2% 3-dB AR bandwidth is achieved on a low profile of 0.014 $lambda_{0}$.

Research on Fast Algorithm for General Bistatic SAR Raw Signal 通用双基地SAR原始信号快速处理算法研究

A fast algorithm for general bistatic synthetic aperture radar (SAR) raw signal based on two-dimensional frequency domain is proposed. The SAR echo signal model is established by the algorithm, the accurate expression of two- dimensional frequency domain for the bistatic SAR echo signal are deduced with series reversion. Simulating large range and azimuth coupling, the accurate computation of echo signal is realized and the complexity of the algorithm is analyzed. The simulation results show that the simulation speed of SAR echo is greatly improved under the premise of ensuring the high phase accuracy, and the validity of the algorithm is proved.

Development of condition monitoring system for railway facilities using opportunistic communication 利用机会通信技术开发铁路设施状态监测系统

Condition based maintenance (CBM) of the railway facilities is expected to reduce the total maintenance labors and costs. Since almost all the railway facilities are arranged along the railway lines, we have developed a condition monitoring system using the opportunistic communication which makes a moving receiver on a train collect automatically the monitoring data of the wireless sensors installed on the railway facilities. Bluetooth low energy (BLE), which is one kind of active RFID was used for communication. We selected connectionless broadcast topology of BLE and succeeded in collecting temperature, heat flow and acceleration data of BLE sensors from the Shinkansen train running at the speed of about 255 km/h. The developed system can be expected as an effective monitoring method for the railway facilities.

Wireless Routing Clustering Protocol Based on Improved LEACH Algorithm 基于改进LEACH算法的无线路由聚类协议

Aiming at the problem of short life cycle and uneven energy consumption of low power adaptive clustering hierarchical protocol (LEACH), an improved LEACH algorithm is proposed. In the selection of cluster head nodes, the optimal cluster head proportion is calculated by considering the problem of residual energy and current position, and the SEP algorithm is used to calculate the different cluster head election probability for the advanced nodes and ordinary nodes, so that the distribution of the cluster heads is more uniform. At the same time, in the data transmission phase, data communication is performed using a hybrid routing method. That is, the distance from the node to the cluster head and the base station is compared. When the node is close to the base station, the node directly communicates with the base station. Otherwise, it communicates with the base station through the cluster head. It reduces the number of clustering and saves network energy consumption. Simulation experiments show that the improved LEACH algorithm makes the distribution of dead nodes more discrete, the entire network energy consumption more balanced and extends the life cycle of the wireless sensor network.

An Effective Velocity Detection Method for Moving UHF-RFID Tags 一种移动UHF-RFID标签的有效速度检测方法

This paper proposes an effective method to detect the passive tag's velocity. When a tag is moving, the energy distribution between received baseband signal I and Q changes over time as a result of both the Doppler Effect and the change of distance between reader and tag. Without any modification of the antenna, only one conventional reader was used to detect the change of distribution to calculate the velocity. This method was proved effective in the laboratory environment and it has great potential to be applied in the highway vehicle speed system in the future.
本文提出了一种有效的被动标签速度检测方法。当标签运动时,由于多普勒效应和读写器与标签之间距离的变化,接收到的基带信号I和Q之间的能量分布随时间而变化。在不修改天线的情况下,只使用一个传统的读取器来检测分布的变化来计算速度。该方法在实验室环境下得到了有效的验证,在公路车速系统中具有很大的应用潜力。
