The problem of robust control for linear systems with multiple time delays and parameter uncertainty has been discussed in this paper. The analysis result of robust control is obtained for the system based on state observer which is quadratic stabilizability and given a linear immemorial state feedback from interference input to control output. Using terms of linear matrix inequations, the sufficient conditions for the existence of robust controllers for uncertain linear systems are given. The design method of robust controllers and state observer for this system is given. The linear memoryless feedback control law is constructed by solving a certain algebraic Riccati matrix equation.

This paper considers the stability of switched linear systems. Assume a common weak quadratic Lyapunov function exists and the switches satisfy certain ergodic property, we investigate two extensions of LaSalle's invariance principle. Unlike most existing results, the systems we investigated may have switching modes, which are not asymptotically stable. An application to the consensus of multi-agent systems is presented.

This work is concerned with hybrid dynamical systems and their stability analysis using on the one hand the direct Lyapunov method and the advantages of the tensor notation for nonlinear systems on the other hand. In order to provide the systematic formulation of the stability conditions as LMI tests a corresponding approach is proposed. This approach is based on the use of the Kronecker product mathematical tool which leads to the description of the analytic vector fields by polynomial functions and allows various algebraic manipulations.

In this paper, it is concerned with the static data association problem in the three distributed passive sensors network, in which each sensor can observe 2-dimensional angles (azimuth and elevation) of each target. A new fast data association approach is proposed in a multiple target dense environment with noise, missed detections, false alarm, and unknown number of the targets. Firstly, the data association of three sensors is transformed into the data association of two sensors about three groups, and the possible correct pairs of association are achieved by the statistic test. Secondly, the pairs of association which are detected by three sensors are got by the analysis method proposed in this paper, which is instead of m-D assignment. Lastly, the pairs of association which are detected by two sensors are got. The simulation results show that the proposed approach has higher association accuracy than the other conventional approaches.

In this paper the control of two-time-scale plant, where the sensor is connected to a linear controller and actuator via a network, is addressed. The slow and fast systems of singularly perturbed systems are used to produce an estimation of the plant state between transmission instants, by which one can reduce the use of network. The approximate solutions of the systems are derived and it is globally shown that the whole systems via the network control are asymptotically stable as long as their slow and fast systems are both stable.

The particle filter (PF) algorithm is proposed for realizing chaotic synchronization and communication in this paper. In our system, message symbols are modulated by additive and multiplicative chaos masking at the transmitter, and estimated by using the PF algorithm at the receiver. Simulation results indicate that the PF algorithm can effectively estimate the message symbols from the received signal. Compared with the unscented Kalman filter algorithm, the PF-based algorithm has a better performance in bit error rate (BER). In addition, BER of the additive chaos masking (ACM) scheme outperform that of the multiplicative chaos masking (MCM), which is close to that of BPSK at a higher Eb/N0.

The algorithm of support vector machines (SVM), a novel machine learning method based on statistical learning theory, has been successfully used in pattern recognition and function estimation. The theory of least squares support vector machines (LS-SVM) is a least squares version of standard SVM, which involves equality instead of inequality constraints and works with a least squares object function. A systematic approach based on LS-SVM and wavelet decomposition for fault diagnosis of hydroturbine generating units (HGU) is proposed in this paper. The vibration signals under abnormal conditions are collected and preprocessed with the wavelet decomposition and feature information of signals is extracted as the feature vectors for training and testing the LS-SVM. To classify multiple fault modes of HGU, a multiclass classifier based on LS-SVM with minimum output codes (MOC) is constructed and used in the fault diagnosis for HGU. It's showed in the simulation result that the fault types can be identified and diagnosed by the above method. Compared with the result of a RBF neural network, more excellent identification accuracy indicates the feasibility and effectiveness of LS-SVM in the fault diagnosis of HGU.

We investigate the distribution of vertex overpayments in a kind of power-law networks when the degree distribution exponent is varied from 2 to infin . The overpayment of one vertex is the sum of the increase of shortest path lengths among all pairs of vertices in the network if the vertex were deleted. We find the overpayment increases with degree in the power-law form not only in heterogeneous networks but also in homogeneous networks, which discloses the fact that those high-connected vertices obtain more benefit, and also take on more traffic. Hence, we define the bonus per packet to describe how much the benefit of a vertex is for carrying one packet. Our investigation shows a vertex with a larger degree will charge more than that with a smaller degree for transmitting per packet in heterogeneous networks, and the difference between those vertices with different degrees becomes minor when the network becomes more homogeneous.

Because the vague (simply, V-) sets can distinguish the positive evidence from the negative one, the V-sets can represent more information than the fuzzy (simply, F-) sets. However the algebraic structure of the V-sets is simpler. The V-groups are the V-sets with V-binary operation. But, the structure of V-groups were less studied in previous works. To solve the problem, firstly, this paper studies some V-subgroups, including the commutator V-subgroups, the V-normal series for a group and their factors , and the V-subnormal series for a V-group and their factors, and the V-compostion series for a V-group and their factors. Secondly, further studying V- groups by means of V-subgroups, this paper presents and proves the six theorems: 1. The sufficient and necessary condition that V-quotient groups are simple V- groups; 2. Any two V-composition series for a group and their factors are both isomorphic; 3. The V-quotient group of V-group about a commutator V-subgroup is the Abel V-group, and any V- quotient group of V-group about V-normal subgroup containing commutator V-group is the Abel V-groups. 4.The commutator V- subgroups are the normal V-groups; 5. The solvable and simple V- groups are the cyclic V-groups with prime order, 6. The sufficient and necessary condition of the structures of the solvable V- groups. This paper reveals new properties of algebraic structure of V-groups.

This paper examines the result of an output feedback stabilization method for the control of feedforward homogeneous nonlinear systems with unmeasurable states. The feedforward system is made up of a nominal plant which is described by a chain of odd power integrators and coupled with high order nonlinear functions. These nonlinear functions are assumed to be bounded by functions with homogeneous dilations. By making use of the adding a power integrator technique in combination with homogeneous system theory, an observer and controller is implemented which can compensate for the high order homogeneous functions of the feedforward system using only the measured state. This is accomplished through the use of a low gain scaling factor, which when appropriately chosen, will dominate the high order nonlinearities. The significance of this result is that little information about the nonlinear system is required to stabilize this system.
