Augmented marked graphs possess some structural characteristics which are desirable for modelling shared-resource systems. This paper investigates the compositional synthesis of augmented marked graphs via a set of common resource places. It is shown that the synthesis preserves boundedness and conservativeness while liveness and reversibility can be preserved under a pretty simple condition. This can be applied to component-based system design, where a system is synthesised from a set of subsystems via common resources. By modelling the subsystems as augmented marked graphs and synthesising them via the corresponding resource places, based on the property-preserving features of this compositional synthesis, the properties of the integrated system can be readily derived.

In n-input n-output systems such as x(t) = Ax(t) + Bu(t), x(t) isin Rn, let the driving matrix B be described as B = QK where Q is a positive definite matrix and K is a diagonal positive definite matrix. Then, it can be shown that a stable adaptive controller can be easily designed. Based on the fact, we propose a new adaptive lane keeping controller with front and rear wheel steering. First of all, a method to estimate unknown curvatures of target lanes is shown. The estimator doesn't require lateral velocity of vehicles. Next, we show a method to design ideal transient trajectories for relative lateral distance and relative yaw angle between vehicles and target lanes, and then, an adaptive steering controller is developed. The developed controller doesn't require the measurement of lateral velocity of vehicles, the accurate knowledge of vehicle parameters and road curvatures. Moreover, it is shown that good robust lane tracking performance can be easily achieved by setting only one design parameter.

A system to detect the corrosion of submarine oil pipeline is introduced, it got the original data by 3 groups ultrasonic sensors and flux leakage sensors. We made multiscale wavelet transform and frequency analysis to multichannels original data and extracted multi-attribute parameters from time domain and frequency domain, then we selected the key attribute parameters that have bigger correlativity with the corrosion degrees of oil pipeline among of multi-attribute parameters. The wavelet neural network was used to do multisensor data fusion to detect the corrosion degrees of submarine oil transportation pipelines and those key attribute parameters were used to as input vectors of network. The experimental results show that this method is feasible and effective.

As a new image multi-scale geometric analysis tool, the nonsubsampled contourlet transform (NSCT) has many advantages such as multi-scale, localization and multi-direction, and can effectively capture the geometric information of images. Therefore, when the NSCT is introduced to image fusion, the characteristics of original images can be taken better and more information for fusion can be obtained. In addition, due to the elimination of the downsampler and upsampler during the decomposition and the reconstruction of the image, the NSCT has such characteristics as the shift-invariance and the same size between each subband image and the original image, which will effectively reduce the effects of the mis-registration on the fused results and can make it easy to find the corresponding relationship of each subband image. Therefore, the NSCT is applied to image fusion and a novel algorithm for fusion of multi-sensor images based on the NSCT is proposed in this paper. The algorithm has been used to merge several multi-focus images. The experimental results indicate that the proposed approach can avoid the introduction of the artifacts or the high frequency noise and can also significantly outperform the traditional wavelet-transform-based image fusion method in terms of both visual quality and objective evaluation criteria, especially in situation where the source images are not perfectly registered.

This paper is concerned with the exponential stability of stochastic systems with time-varying delays. Using Ito differential formula and Lyapunov functions, we establish some criteria for exponential stability of uncertain stochastic systems with time-varying delays. The delay-independent sufficient condition is derived in terms of linear matrix inequality (LMI).

In this paper, we consider the M/M/2 queueing system with service interruptions. The rates of server breakdown are different between busy time and idle time, and there is one repairman in the system. Using the transform method we obtain the steady-state probabilities of the states, the steady-state availability and the steady-state queueing length, give a new form of the condition for the existence of the steady-state probabilities.

DC-DC converters can be found in almost every power electronics device. To improve the efficiency and controller response of a DC-DC converter to dynamical system changes, neural network has been chosen as an alternative to classic methods. However, no prior work has been done in the neural network approach for control of a PSFB (phase-shifted full-bridge) converter yet. In this research, a multi-layer feedforward neural network controller is proposed. The neural network based controller has the advantage of adaptive learning ability, and can work under the situation when the input voltage and load current fluctuate. Levenberg-Marquardt back-propagation training algorithm is used in computer simulation. The neural controller is then implemented on hardware using a DSP (digital signal processor). Satisfactory experimental results are obtained.

Based on the condition of the test of transformer temperature rise, this system is designed for the auto-control of the test process. With the DSP technique, electrical parameter monitoring and the temperature measurement are integrated in the system. Moreover, with the DSP technique, the test process will be carried on by auto-control. Meanwhile, the program that operates on personal computer is developed by VC++6.0. Utilizing the personal computer's preponderance, this system may cooperate with personal computer to handle data and automatic control more conveniently. Then artificial intervention in test has been decreased. Further, accuracy of measurement and auto-control level of the temperature rise test process has been heavily improved.

This paper is concerned with the problem of robust H∞ filtering for uncertain linear descriptor systems. The matrices of the system state-space model are uncertain, belonging to a given polytope. A method based on a parameter-dependent Lyapunov function is proposed for designing a linear stationary filter with a prescribed H∞ performance, irrespective of the parameter uncertainty. The proposed design is given in terms of linear matrix inequalities which depend on a scalar parameter that should be searched for in order to optimize the filter performance.
