Information security risk assessments enable SMEs to identify their key information assets and risks in order to develop effective and economically-viable control strategies. In Kenya, SMEs employ about 85 percent of the workforce. The need to link ISRA with firm performance has become vital for firms striving to achieve superior performance. However, limited attention has been paid to the link and more so to the moderating role of EO on ISRA-firm performance relationship model. To better understand this relationship, this paper employed a mixed methods research guided by a cross-sectional research design. Quantitative and qualitative techniques were employed to analyze the collected data using SPSS, Ms-Excel, AMOS, SmartPLS, STATA, R-GUI and ATLAS.ti analytical softwares. Analyses were conducted using a two-phase process consisting of CFA and SEM. The theoretical models and hypotheses were tested based on empirical data gathered from 94 SMEs in the 2013 Top 100 Survey. The study found that ISRA was a significant predictor of firm performance. The results also revealed that entrepreneurial orientation significantly moderated the relationship between ISRA and firm performance in Kenya. This study will enhance the skill set in Kenyan SMEs and produce a more sustainable solution.

This paper examines thermalism in Greece both in its historical development and in the context of current challenges engendered by economic recession. The authors’ intention is to discuss bathing in thermal springs as a sociocultural practice deeply rooted in history and collective experience, to follow its transformations in the course of time, and to analyze the complexity of its present state. The latter issue, which is dealt with in more detail, is explored through academic literature, the evaluation of quantitative and qualitative data, and empirical research. The last part of the paper discusses the conclusions of our study of the Greek case with a view to contributing to the overall assessment of popular thermalism in Europe

The purpose of this article is to present a computer programming class practice that has been used as an alternative to learning and that may possibly lead the learner to a positive state of knowledge absorption through dynamic classes using techniques based fables OC2-RD2. OC2-RD2 (Objective, Setback, Catastrophe, Reaction, Dilemma, and Deci- sion) is defined as an interactive narrative technique in a face-to-face learning environment, speci fi cally in the higher education course of Computing, using fables, a story involving scenes in the third person: "Objective," "Setback," and "Catastrophe," and which in turn leads learners to certain behaviors in 1st person scenes: "Reactions, Dilemma, and De-division." This technique stands out as a supporter to the teacher in his classes, applying narrative scenarios that stimulate the learner to participate and contextualize the proposed subject. The OC2-RD2 has as a challenge, through the use of auxiliary narratives, the teacher in his or her classroom regency, leading to a continuous, efficient, dynamic and objective learning that may possibly minimize problems related to learning difficulties, which are often related to logical reasoning.

This paper examines the downsizing processes of hospitality managements in Turkey during 2016 Turkey tourism crisis. 11 hotels, including 5 from city hotels and 6 from coastal hotels, are included to the research because the main purpose of the research is to evaluate the downsizing practices of hospitality managements which is affected by the political crisis in Turkey directly and to provide a comparative whole-process-models. Therefore, both city and coastal hotels are interviewed to get comparative information because city and coastal hotels have totally different customer profile with different visiting reasons. As a result, two different model have been created and similarities and differences between these two types of hotels are discovered and explained. The research is the only one comparatively reviewing the downsizing proces as a whole including reasons, decisions and affects of downsizing.

Contemporary organizations are increasingly valuing the individual competencies of their employees, since, associated with other resources, it contribute to achieving the goals defined by the company. In this perspective, this study aims to analyze how the secretarial competences influence the executive secretariat performance at ENGIE Brasil Energia. Methodologically, this is a basic and objective research, and the used approach was the qualitative. In terms of strategy, the option was the field survey and in the data collection process, the bibliographical, documentary and interviews was the techniques. As the results was observed that at the organization there is, still, a certain tendency for more operational secretariat work. However, in the analysis of the data, an information bias was verified, which needs to be considered, since, it reveals that some of the mentioned competences fit the contemporary profile of the secretary, which includes competencies for a more strategic performance. As conclusion, the secretarial competences directly influence the daily activities of ENGIE Brasil Energia's secretariats.
