Henoch-Schonlein purpura (HSP) is a systemic vasculitis of unknown cause and abdominal pain is usually complained. Although intussusception and intestinal bleeding may occur, ileal perforation is rare. We present a case of ileal perforation following HSP in which our patient received corticosteroid on the 8th day of clinical course. Attention is focused on assessing the effect of corticosteroid and the relationships among ischemic enteritis, ileal perforation and the usage of steroid.
