Ciubotaru”, the dynamics of taxa increase over the last decade, ways to raise and maintain the gene pool. The taxonomic diversity of medicinal plant existing currently in the collection is given. Recent taxonomic inventory of medicinal plants collection led to identification of 367 taxa, belonging to 3 phylums, 5 classes, 66 botanical families and 184 genera. During the period 2013-2022 the collection was enriched with 82 taxa obtained through the international exchange of seeds (Index Seminum), as well as from the local spontaneous flora.

The action of the thermal factor on the functionality of the male gametophyte in tomato progeny infected with tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) and tomato aspermia virus (TAV) was studied. It was established that the influence of high temperature on the male gametophyte in TMV/TAV offspring causes the modification of the functional characters of the male gametophyte. The effect produced is largely controlled by temperature 78.1...81.5% (for pollen viability), and the variation of pollen tubes sizes is determined by temperature and the interaction of factors (75.6%). The individual analysis of the structures of the variation spectra of the male gametophyte index for each genotype revealed significant differences in their sensitivity to the action of the factor that cause variability, a fact that allowed to the clustered of genotypes according to their reaction to stress, as well as the prediction of the sporophyte response to the stress. Based on the obtained data, genotypes with a high level of heat resistance were highlighted for their subsequent inclusion in the improvement process.

The evaluation of some commercial sunflower hybrids with different origins in the conditions of the northern and southern areas of the Republic of Moldova was conducted during the years 2020-2021 in order to select the hybrids having valuable traits as additional sources for intensification of sunflower production in the country. It was established that the tested hybrids have a rich variability based on the morphological traits, which is largely dependent on the genotype, its origin and also the zonal and annual climatic conditions. The present article includes the data on the genetic potential evaluation of 6 sunflower hybrids obtained by means of some quantitative traits (leaf area index, leaf surface, amount of chlorophyll a and b, amount of carotenoids, plant height, number of leaves, average yield, oil content) and molecular markers (RAPD).

Induced mutagenesis has proven to be a flexible method, functional and ready to use for any culture, moreover, it is a low-cost technology. With the ability to grow new mutant varieties with very high productive potential. To investigate the mutagenic effect of gamma (γ) irradiation, flax seeds of the three selected varieties (Kaufmann, Dichl 8, Belinka) were treated with four doses 400, 500, 600 and 700 Gy, using the 60Co-γ isotope as an irradiation source. Along the way, the phenological phases of development and evaluation of morphological parameters were miniaturized. From the analysis of multiple parameters, it was observed that the 400 Gy irradiation dose was the most effective and showed the widest phenotypic variability, and the 700 Gy less effective.

The present paper presents the scientific results regarding the particularities of the oogenesis of the common perch in the lower sector of the Dniester river. In the mentioned species, the development of the oocytes is synchronous, which determines a unitary mode of spawning. Differences in the character of oocyte development were established in breeders of different sizes, indicating earlier spawning by breeders of perch in smaller gravimetric groups. In sevenyearold females with ovaries in developmental stages II and II-III, resorption of oocytes was found in the phase of protoplasmic growth and in the initial phases of vacuolation of the cytoplasm, which indicates the attenuation of reproductive function in higher age groups. In May, an individual hermaphrodite perch with an abnormal development of germ cells was captured.

The fungus Fusarium avenaceum (Fr.) Sacc. – one of the causative agents of root rot and spike fusarium, is very widespread in the grass cereal crops, including common wheat, throughout the world, including in the Republic of Moldova. Incorporating genetic resistance into crop plants is considered the most effective and sustainable method of the disease control. For the strategies to improve disease resistance, knowledge of the genetic basis of the reaction to the causative agents is necessary. Article presents the data regarding: i) influence of the F. avenaceum culture filtrate (CF) on the growth organs of the parental forms and F1 descendants of wheat, ii) the degree of dominance of the seedling vigor index in the cont rol variant and with CF, iii) the influence of the parental factor on the manifestation of the vigor index, iv) the classification (dendrograms, k-means, multidimensional scanning) of the forms tested under the influence of the pathogen, v) the identification of genotypes that can be used as sources of resistance.

The Decis preparation is part of the group of phytosanitary products with low impact on environmental components. On the soil, its action is achieved through the impact on the vital activity of its microbiome, the suppression of the basic fermentation systems and the metabolic processes involved in pedogenesis and plant nutrition. The toxic action of the Decis preparation on the soil microbiome intensifies against the background of treatments with preparations from the group of those with a strong (Nurela-D, Zolon) and moderate (Delan) impact. The impact of the Decis preparation on the human sympathoadrenal system depends on the administered doses. Its action in a dose of 1.2 mg/kg on the level of catecholamines leads to an imbalance of amines, and its use in higher doses (2.0 and 2.4 mg/kg) leads to a sudden increase in the level of adrenaline and noradrenaline in the tissues of the studied or gans.

The Triticale regenerants (SC0) of 3 genotypes (Ingen 35, Ingen 93, 188TR5021) were obtained by calluso-genesis from irradiated mature embryos with gamma rays (150 Gy). The evaluation of the somaclones revealed changes in the quantitative traits: plant height, spike length, apical internode length, number of productive tillers and internodes per plant, number of grains, grains weight per plant. It was found that in vitro culture and gamma irradiation induced significant variations at the level of 95 – 99,9% of the characters studied in triticale SC1 and SC2 somaclones The mean value of 4 traits (plant height, spike length, number of grains and grains weight) of somaclones, SC2 (Ingen 93, in vitro and 188 TR5021, RAD) were higher than the control. The analysis of variance shows that the maximum contribution was manifested by the genotype (30,77%) and the interaction of genotype x radiation (17,28-41,62%) and genotype x in vitro culture (21,32-40,45%) depending on the character (99,9%). The obtained results confirm the contribution of researched factors to increase the genetic variability in triticale

Through the prism of the biophysical concept of pedogenesis, soil health is the integrative product of the interdependent and interdetermined processes of constituting the physical, chemical, physical-chemical and biological subsystems of the soil ecosystem within the genetic-evolutionary chain factors→regimes→elementary processes→soil (soil ecosystem). The evolution of the soil ecosystem involves two distinct phases: a) the establishment of the routine system of the soil; b) the constitution and evolution of the soil ecosystem. The constitution of the routine system of the soil is determined by the abiotic processes of transformation and organization of the abiotic components (solid, liquid and gaseous phases) with the formation of the pedolitic profile and the biolitic matrix. The constitution of the soil ecosystem is determined by the biologicalization of the biolytic matrix with the formation of the biopedomatrix and its modeling by its organisms in accordance with their own needs. Through this prism of ideas, soil health is a biophysical category and for its evaluation it is recommended to apply the parameters of the physical and biological properties, as well as the chemical and physico-chemical parameters related to them.
