The study has been focused on the field of introduction, conservation and use of aromatic and medicinal plants, which represent inexhaustible sources of raw materials for the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food industries. The article describes the results of the evaluation of the prospects for the introduction of 4 species of the genus Agastache Gronov: Agastache foeniculum ( Pursh) Kuntze, Agastache rugosa (Fisch & C. A Mey.) O. Kuntze, Agastache urticifolia (Benth.) Kuntze, Agastache nepetoides L., species that have not been studied in much detail, but of high therapeutic value. The studies focused on the bio-ecological and phytochemical research on the plants, in order to highlight the biomorphological peculiarities, the essential oil content and the possibility of using them in various branches of the national economy. Far from being an exhausted source of remedies, natural products continue to provide low molecular weight compounds with important biological properties that can be used for pharmaceutical purposes.

The article is dedicated to the analysis of the effectiveness of the accelerated aging method (AA) of seeds for assessing the stability of tomato collection specimens and determining their longevity during ex situ conservation in active collections of the plant genetic bank. The use of this method, which consists in the incubation of seeds under increased temperature and air humidity, allows adequately modeling the impact of unfavorable environmental factors and predicting their effect on seed resistance. The storage potential (SP) of seeds for their medium-term storage in the plant genetic bank was determined according to various morphophysiological parameters of tomato seeds and seedlings (germination energy and seed germination, root length, dry and wet root biomass, electrolyte yield). Tomato varieties with high and medium storage potential were identified, i.e. gradation was carried out according to this important complex indicator. The obtained results indicate that the accelerated seed ageing test allows to assess differences in resistance between different varieties of important crop species.

Endoparasites have a significant role in the pathology of pheasants (Phasianus colchicus L). During the 2020-2022 period, 123 biological samples taken from pheasants from various natural and anthropogenic biotopes of the Republic of Moldova were examined. The results of the parasitological investigations carried out revealed the pre-sence of polyinvasions consisting of 14 species (Choanotaenia infundibulum, Raillietina tetragona, Raillietina echi-nobotrida, Prosthogonimus ovatus, Capillaria caudinflata, Capillaria annulate, Heterakis gallinarum, Heterakis isolonche, Ascaridia galli, Singamus traheia, Trichostrongylus tenuis, Eimeria colchici, Eimeria duodenalis, Eimeria phasiani) of parasites, of which 7 species (Prosthogonimus ovatus, Syngamus tracheia, Ascaridia galli, Heterakis gallinarum, Raillietina tetragona, Raillietina echinobotrida, Eimeria duodenalis) are also common for domestic gallinaceae. It was revealed that 39 samples (31.7%) were infested in the form of monoinvasions, and 84 samples (68.3%) – in the form of polyinvasions. Polyparasitic associations consisting of 2 parasite species were estimated in 36 samples (42.8%); from 3 species – in 26 samples (30.9%); from 4 species – in 13 samples (15.6%); from 5 species – in 5 samples (5.9%) and from 6 species of parasites were identified in 4 samples (4.8%).

Algae are a natural source of biologically active substances, effective, safe and relatively cheap, which stimulate the germination process of the seeds of different plants. The content of seed germination biostimulators varies depending on the taxonomic position of the algae, the condition of the crops and the specifics of their cultivation. Treating the seeds of different plants with algal biomass, or with extracts obtained from it, has the effect of both stimulating seed germination and improving the physiological state of plants, increasing their resistance to environmental factors, increasing the quantity and improving the quality of harvests. This article presents a synthesis of some scientific results obtained that highlight the fact that the biomass of some algae can be used as a source of biostimulators in the treatment of plant seeds.

Fungal contamination of maize fields with Fusarium species leads to yield loss and affects grain quality. In this investigation, maize of three genotypes Ku123, RF7, MK01 at the silking, dough and physiological maturity stage were analyzed for mixed contamination with F. verticillioides, F. oxysporum, F.avenaceum. Asymptomatic mixed infection with F. oxysporum, F. verticillioides, F. avenaceum was detected in all samples of Ku123 and in some samples of the genotype RF7. The genotype MK01 was infected only with F. oxysporum. PCR estimation of the number of copies of Fusarium spp by serial dilutions demonstrated that genotype Ku123 is the most susceptible to the infection.

The paper presents the synthesis of the new 2-acetylpyridine N4-(bicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-yl)thiosemicarbazone (HL) and its three copper(II) coordination compounds: [Cu(L)X] (X = NO3 - (I), Cl- (II), CHCl2COO- (III)). The obtained compounds were studied by NMR and FTIR spectroscopies, elemental analysis, and molar electric conductibility. The antibacterial activity towards Gram-positive (Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus cereus) and Gram-negative (Escherichia coli, Acinetobacter baumannii) standard strains was studied for the HL and complexes I-III. The coordination of the HL to the copper(II) atom leads to the increase of activity against almost all microorganisms. Complex I is the most active one towards Gram-positive microorganisms, while complex III is the most active one towards Gram-negative microorganisms. They in many cases surpass the activity of Furacillinum and are practically on the same level as Tetracycline towards Gram-positive microorganisms.

In this article, methods of synthesis and physicochemical analysis of 5 coordination compounds based on Cu(II) ion and 3-ethoxysalicylic aldehyde 4-cyclohexyl-thiosemicarbazone are described. In the first step, the synthesis of the ligand was carried out by means of two classical methods with subsequent refinement, thus obtaining the H2L as a chelator of copper(II) ions. 1H, 13C and 15N-NMR spectroscopy, 13C-DEPT-135 NMR and 15N HSQC-NMR spectroscopy were applied to investigate the structure and geometry of the 3-ethoxysalicylic aldehyde 4-cyclohexyl-thiosemicarbazone. The synthesized substances were analyzed by means of modern research methods such as: FTIR spectroscopy, UV-vis and elemental analysis, single crystal X-ray diffraction; the biological activity is under study.
