Intercomparison of Radon in Soil Instruments at Reference Site in Czech Republic 捷克共和国参考点土壤仪器氡含量的比较

Abstract Intercomparison exercises of radon instruments play an important part when it comes to domestic survey as well as international or national mapping in dwellings, soil or water. Therefore, it is of prime interest to improve and standardize technical methods of measurement and also to verify quality assurance through comparison between different instruments and techniques. In the present paper is described the latest intercomparison exercise performed between the Laboratory of Environmental Radioactivity (hereafter called LER) of our department and other 15 different teams around Europe. The test has been held at two radon reference sites located 60 km SW of Prague, Czech Republic.

Preliminary Study In Preparation Of Nd3+: YAG And Sm3+: Y2O3 Transparent Ceramics Nd3+: YAG和Sm3+: Y2O3透明陶瓷制备的初步研究

Abstract In the present work we present preliminary research on producing of transparent polycrystalline ceramics. Samarium doped Yttrium oxide (1%, 3% and 5%) and Neodymium (1%) doped YAG (Y3Al5O12) translucent ceramics were fabricated by solid-state reaction. Commercial nanopowders was used as the starting materials: Sm2O3 (6μm) and Y2O2 (20-50 nm) for Sm3+: Y2O3 and α-Al2O3, Y2O3 and Nd2O3 (20-50 nm) for Nd3+: YAG. For the preparation of Nd3+: YAG, 0.5 wt% tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) was use as sintering additive, and 1 wt % PEG (polyethylene glycol-400) as dispersant.

Spin-Hamiltonian Parameters For CrLi3+ Doped In LiNbO3 掺杂在LiNbO3中的CrLi3+的自旋哈密顿参数

Abstract By using crystal field theory, the spin-Hamiltonian parameters [zero-field splitting D, the giromagnetic factors g (g|| and g⊥) and the first excited state splitting δ(2E)] for the CrLi3+ doped in LiNbO3 have been calculated from the higher-order perturbation formulas. The method used is based on the two-spin-orbit coupling parameter model, in a cluster approach. The g parameters were also calculated as a second derivative of the energy, method implemented into ORCA computer program. The results were discussed and good agreement with experimental data was demonstrated.

Abstract A particular case of interactions of a single massless tensor field with the mixed symmetry corresponding to a two-column Young diagram (k,1) with k=4, dual to linearized gravity in D=7, is considered in the context of: self-couplings, cross-interactions with a Pauli-Fierz field, cross-couplings to purely matter theories, and interactions with an Abelian 1-form. The general approach relies on the deformation of the solution to the master equation from the antifield-BRST formalism by means of the local cohomology of the BRST differential.

Abstract In this paper it is present the influence of the wind on a parabolic antenna, in order to study this influence it was made simulations of air flow over a parabolic antenna. The simulations are made with antenna positioned at 90°, 135°. A three – dimensional finite element is simulated for determination of the antenna displacement.

Bending Of Adsorbed FCN And FNC Molecules Induced By The Renner-Teller Effect Renner-Teller效应诱导吸附的FCN和FNC分子弯曲

Abstract It is shown that the bending of FCN and FNC molecules adsorbed on Si (100) - (2 × 1) surface, is due to the Renner-Teller effect induced by the orbital charge transfers by adsorption. From ab initio calculations of free FCN and FNC and the molecules adsorbed on the model Si9H12 cluster, the orbital charge transfers to and from the molecules were calculated, the vibronic coupling constants were estimated, and the curvature K of the adiabatic potentials for the bending coordinate of adsorbed molecules was evaluated. Calculations show that for both side-on adsorbed species, as well as for end-on adsorbed FNC molecule K<0 that leads to their bending. For the end-on adsorbed FCN K>0, and this molecule remains linear

Abstract The eruption of both the Eyjafjallajokull (April 2010) and Grimsvotn (May 2011) volcanoes cumulated with two moments that gave headaches to the authorities and air traffic, and their impact on the environment upon Iasi region have been studied by means of different tools evidencing the complexity of the phenomena. In order to evidence the intrusion of pollutants in the cloud systems and to obtain additional data on the intrusion when the ash cloud was over our country, LIDAR measurements, meteorological (NMA), Satellite data (EUMETSAT), and various forecasting models (ECMWF, VAAC-Met Office, HYSPLIT) have been used. The new 3D Atmospheric Observatory Site of the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, as part of RADO (Romanian Atmospheric 3D Observatory) is presented, too.

Using Algebraic Computing To Teach General Relativity And Cosmology 用代数计算教授广义相对论和宇宙学

Abstract The article presents some new aspects and experience on the use of computer in teaching general relativity and cosmology for undergraduate students (and not only) with some experience in computer manipulation. Some years ago certain results were reported [1] using old fashioned computer algebra platforms but the growing popularity of graphical platforms as Maple and Mathematica forced us to adapt and reconsider our methods and programs. We will describe some simple algebraic programming procedures (in Maple with GrTensorII package) for obtaining and the study of some exact solutions of the Einstein equations in order to convince a dedicated student in general relativity about the utility of a computer algebra system.

Abstract Single crystals of Y1−xRxCa4O(BO3)3 (R = Sc or Lu) of good quality have been grown from the melt by the Czochralski pulling method. The chemical compositions of the grown crystals were determined. Type-I noncritical phase matching (NCPM) wavelengths for second harmonic generation (SHG) in Y1−xRxCa4O(BO3)3 grown crystals were also determined.
