"In the latest years, in Romania, including Szeklerland / Székely Land, an important number of support projects from the EU have been accomplished. Besides these, every year, application opportunities also emerge, as part of the programmes funded and approved by the State of Hungary. In the application cycle from 2014 to 2020, I have considered the programmes POR, PNDR, PNDL. Afterwards, I addressed the opportunities for start up support BGA and Proeconomica. Within this scope, I aggregated and then categorized the amounts granted for the three counties of Szeklerland / Székely Land (Mures, Harghita and Covasna). I have also drawn on several research themes, such as: the scale of the support granted to the three Székely counties as part of the Central Romania Region, for a given county; how many villages and cities/towns expected and were granted the support; the regional or local differences in the given area; how did Szeklerland / Székely Land evolve compared to the overall project approval in Romania."

"In this paper, I present the results of my examination thesis prepared as part of my postgraduate Spiritual counseling focuses on values program. The purpose of the examination is is to analyze the childhood experiences of children with alcohol-dependent parents compared to other children (whose parents are not alcohol-dependent) and to present the differences of the life situations, in the light of examples from Szeklerland. Based on the results of personal interviews conducted among group leaders in the Szeklerland region in 2018, an important question is the followig: is there a significant difference between the childhood of alcohol-dependent parents and the one of children with non-dependent parents? Furthermore, have children with alcohol-dependent parents experienced traumas in their childhood that affected their health? Another important question was: calculating with the consequences of childhood influences, is it necessarily inevitable that the children of alcohol- dependent parents will become alcohol-dependent themselves? In this paper, I focus on answering these questions, but this is preceded by a brief description of the relevant literature and research methodology. "

In recent years, at global, EU and national level, attention to the complex role of forests and the health of forests has become a key priority. One of the tools is multi- level strategic planning, and thus maintaining a balance between the different forest functions, in which social actors can play a key role. In the forest management structure in Romania, private and public forestry are the professional actors in the management (conservation, reforestation) and sale of forest resources and the enforcement of the rules governing them. In this study, based on a survey among foresters conducted in 2022 by the Nagyküküllő Public Landowners' Union and the WAC - Center for Regional and Anthropological Research in Miercurea- Ciuc, I will examine the attitudes of foresters in Szeklerland towards the forestry profession, forest management and forests in general, and the generational differences and similarities in these attitudes.

"The study examines the extent to which the religiousness of the inhabitants of Ciuc shows traces of traditional religiosity, and the extent to which the beliefs and religious practices of the population of the region are characterised by those attributes that can be interpreted as ""imprints"" of a traditional social type. The results of the research indicate that the traditional, collective type of religiosity is closer to the local population than the modern, individualistic religiosity based on personal experience. The social structure of the region, the functioning mechanisms and values of the society are a kind of pillar of the religiousness of the people living here. The study is based on the author's book of studies published in 2018 (Historical and sociological dimensions of religiosity in Ciuc. Státus Publishing House, Miercurea-Ciuc). The research based on questionnaire data collection was conducted in the framework of the author's doctoral studies."

The process of valorisation of rurality has triggered a new definition of the countryside, a series of paradigm-shifting processes in contemporary socio-economic discourses, as well as the local embeddedness of entrepreneurs is increasingly coming to the fore in the professional debate on the concept of rurality in rural development. The presented study provides an insight into this new practice of rural representation, whose theoretical aspects can be useful both in a global context and for rural studies in Szeklerland.

" In a rural context, on the example of the Szeklerland region of Eastern Transylvania (Romania), based on the relevant literature and an exploratory research, our study analyses the question of how and to what extent the components related to the new economy phenomenon in new, small-scale enterprises can be detected. In this regard, we analyzed 30 interviews – 17 women and 13 men, aged 25-35 years – conducted with founders and managers of innovative enterprises, and case studies. The research was conducted in 2019-2020. We applied the methodology of the “contextual turn” approach (Welter, 2011) and the social constructive perspective (Jack–Anderson, 2002; Korsgaard–Anderson, 2011). The main focus of the study is the analysis of the regional context and the three components of new economy characteristics referring to the starting, running and representing enterprises (1. incorporating elements of individual habitus, 2. the role of personal beliefs and values, 3. the role of the social environment in the development and operation of the enterprise), which bring changes to regional entrepreneurial practices by prioritizing the personal characteristics of entrepreneurs."
