Higher isolated dual band notched UWB MIMO antenna with fork stub 带叉根的高隔离双带陷波超宽带MIMO天线

In this paper, dual band notch Multi-input Multi-output (MIMO) System of two U-shape patch antennas has been evolved for the UWB application. Spacing between two elements of antennas is 0.270λ0 at 3.1GHz for the UWB operation. To enhance isolation and increase bandwidth impedance, a fork shaped stubs added in the ground plane of the antenna. Due to interference with WIMAX (3.3-3.7 GHZ) and WLAN (5.2-5.8 GHz) on UWB dual band notch function is perform. For achieving the dual band notch characteristics, trekking slots cut in the patch with a feed and C-shaped strip are placed adjacently to the feed line of the antenna. Due to a fork shaped stubs in ground planes, reducing of mutual coupling between elements S21 ≤ -20dB. Peak gain, Efficiency of antenna also investigated and it shows that the proposed MIMO antenna has pleasant characteristics of UWB application.

A novel window function approach for voltage controlled memristor 一种新的压控忆阻器窗函数方法

Memristor being a fourth fundamental passive electrical circuit element in nanoscale technology has gained a great interest in the new era of semiconductor technology. The memristor with its special property of nonvolatility, low power consumption, small size and improved scalability has captured interest in many applications from digital logic circuits to neuromorphic computing. This paper will discuss and compare the most noteworthy models of voltage controlled memristor. We propose implementation of different window functions which can be implemented in the future voltage controlled memristor models to observe nonlinear hysteresis behaviour of memristor.

Physical layer security using stream cipher for LTE LTE使用流密码的物理层安全

In today's mobile world where entire system is going wireless, security is big time concern. When data is transmitted through various wireless devices secure transfer of data is momentous. A heterogeneous network demands security from attacks with immense speed. In heterogeneous network where different protocols are used to convert the data from one device to another, it is important that all security conversion should have high speed. In this multi-user environment call dropping should not take place. In order to maintain speed it is important that the security codes have a great data rate. The various channel attacks and multi path nature of code makes it vulnerable to attack. The acute exchange of time and frequency parameters makes the physical layer elements liable to security related attacks. Signal protection at the physical layer is significant in LTE system. Stream cipher is a symmetric cipher which can be used for cryptographic protection in wireless system. Stream ciphers are faster than block cipher hence they can have higher data-rates which is liable for LTE system. This paper proposes a physical layer security system using stream cipher in LTE for better speed and security.

A multiphysics investigation of RF dry loads 射频干负载的多物理场研究

Microwave absorbers/loads find applications in many microwave systems where they are utilised in testing or protection circuits. In many waveguide based systems, often lossy dielectrics are used as absorbers. Efficient thermal management of the heat generated in the dielectric is crucial for the functioning of the load. As such the design of a load is a multiphysics problem involving RF, thermal and in some cases fluid flow analysis. In this paper, different structures of low power loads are analysed for their RF and thermal characteristics and behaviour. These loads are designed for 3.7 GHz and simulated in COMSOL Multiphysics.

Determination of patient setup error in radiotherapy using feature-based multimodal rigid image registration 基于特征的多模态刚性图像配准确定放疗患者设置误差

Accurate patient positioning is one of the major requirements of delivering precise radiation therapy. The objective of this research is to verify the localisation of the dose delivered. In this paper, image registration technique based on anatomical landmarks of the patient is used to compare the similarity between Digitally Reconstructed Radiograph (DRR) and the digital portal image acquired by Electronic Portal Imaging Device (EPID) and calculation of the setup error for pelvic region using bony landmark points is done. The purpose of this study is to evaluate these registration results on the basis of parameters like mutual information, joint histogram, scatter plot, joint entropy, histogram error, line intensity profile and Structural Similarity Index (SSIM). For the pelvis case, the average Euclidean distance by gold standard is less than 2 mm. Our results were satisfactory and within acceptable limits i.e. the maximum set up error obtained is 1.859 mm.

A real time portable embedded system design for particulate matter monitoring 一种实时便携式颗粒物监测嵌入式系统设计

The increasing awareness of negative health effects has raised significantly the importance of monitoring the levels of particulate matter which compose adverse respiratory problems particularly in the industrial belt. However the traditional particulate measuring instruments being bulky and expensive, prevent spatially deployed continuous air quality monitoring. This paper focuses on continuous monitoring of noxious suspended particulate matter for indoor as well as outdoor supervision, assisting individuals to have control over the immediate breathing environment. In this paper, a system has been presented which uses electronic sensors small enough to be incorporated into portable devices and therefore provide distributed measurement of parameters such as PM 2.5 and PM 10, and additionally ambient air temperature, atmospheric pressure and humidity measurements with appropriate levels of accuracy. The system is designed with an on-board graphical display and a buzzer alarm for hazardous situation intimation.

Detection of heart sounds S1 and S2 using optimized S-transform and back — Propagation Algorithm 利用优化的s变换和反向传播算法检测心音S1和S2

This paper describes a method for the detection of heart sounds S1 and S2 using Back-Propagation Algorithm (BPA). The proposed method works satisfactorily on the heart sounds with murmur or noisy data. The work can be divided into four main parts: (i) localization by optimized S-transform, (ii) boundary detection of heart sounds S1 and S2 based on Shannon energy of S-transform, (iii) feature extraction using Singular Value Decomposition (SVD), and (iv) classification using ANN tool known as BPA. In this paper, we have compared the performance parameters like sensitivity and specificity of BPA results with other existing methods and improvement is observed in their values.

The database in the form of images has increased up to huge extent. Lack of storage space and bandwidth available are the main limitations faced to manage image databases. Most of the applications required fast transmission of image files and efficient storage. Image compression gives possible solution for all these conditions. It represents an image into reduced format without degrading its quality up to certain level so that it seems same as original image. Vector quantization (VQ) is lossy but useful technique of image compression. In this paper, Thepade's Transform Error Vector Rotation (TTEVR) algorithm with Kekre, Walsh, Slant orthogonal transforms and respective Wavelet Transform of Kekre, Walsh and Slant transforms are used for codebook generation. The experimentation is conducted with codebook sizes of 256 and 512 on a testbed of 13 assorted images of size 256×256×3 and 512×512×3. Results show that the codebook of size 256 and 512 generated from TTEVR with Kekre Wavelet Transform gives better compression quality as compared to all other transforms considered here.

Low-rank singular approximation based ECG signal compression in e-health applications 基于低秩奇异近似的心电信号压缩在电子医疗中的应用

In this paper, a compression technique for ECG signal using low-rank matrix approximation based on inter and intra beat correlation, is presented. Here, singular value decomposition (SVD) has been exploited to explore the low rank representation using truncation process that stores most significant data with few singular values. In this method, two dimensional (2-D) array of ECG signal is constructed using interpolation, zero padding and average period length. The presented compression is evaluated with MIT-BIH arrhythmia ECG signal using different fidelity parameters such as compression ratio (CR), percentage root-mean square difference (PRD), signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), and correlation (CC). The obtained results presented at different rank truncation are 4:1 to 34:1 compression ratio for signal 117. Overall results show that the efficiency of presented compression technique is good for data storage or transmission in telemedicine applications.

Speech based human machine interaction system for home automation 基于语音的家庭自动化人机交互系统

Human-machine interaction technology defines the way human use machines and it plays crucial role for developing an ecosystem between user and machine. Speech based Human-machine interaction has potential to be future of Human-machine interaction and recent advancement in technology have made it possible to operate computers and electronic devices through speech. While there are lots of research going on for the development of better speech recognition systems but very less efforts are made to develop speech based Human-machine interaction system for everyday use. This paper presents an innovative approach by integrating an Android enabled device, Bluetooth technology, Matlab computing platform and advanced microcontroller to develop a Speech based Human-machine interaction system for operating home appliances. The proposed system is very effective speech based Human-machine interaction system for real world applications as it is affordable, flexible, user configurable, user friendly, and also it is very helpful for elderly persons and disabled people.
