The aims of this research are 1) to describe the economy of the Halmahera community in Andaru Intan's 33 Senja di Halmahera novel, 2) to describe the social changes of the Halmahera community in Andaru Intan's 33 Senja di Halmahera novel, and 3) to describe the social values of the Halmahera community in Andaru Intan’s 33 Senja di Halmahera novel. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The analysis was carried out by reading the novel 33 Senja di Halmahera and then analyzing the novel by noting every quote related to the social aspects of the Halmahera community. The results of the research in this study are 1) describing the economic situation in Halmahera which still requires assistance from various parties and the results of the community's main search, 2) describing the social changes that occurred after horizontal conflict, and 3) describing the social values of the Halmahera community in the form of ethics, social status, and religion. This novel can be clearly described about the economy, social change, and the social values of the Halmahera community.Keywords: portrait of life, social aspect, cultural aspect, novel 33 Senja di Halmahera

This study aims to describe the use of the types of grammatical cohesion tools and lexical cohesion tools in the short story texts of Bogor City Senior High School students, and to determine the most dominant use of cohesion tools. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method. The data source of this research is the short story text of the students of class XI SMA Negeri 4 Bogor. The data collection technique used was literature study. Checking the validity of the data using triangulation. The tools of grammatical cohesion that are the focus are references and conjunctions. The tools of lexical cohesion that are the focus are repetition, synonym, antonym, hyponym, collocation, and equivalence. From the results of the analysis found the use of the grammatical cohesion tool for 78 data. Total reference use was 32 findings (41%) and conjunction 46 findings (59%). Furthermore, the use of lexical cohesion tools totaling 140 data. The use of repetitions of 36 findings (26%), synonym 14 findings (10%), antonym 24 findings (17%), hyponym 10 findings (7%), collocation of 24 findings (17%), and equivalence of 32 findings (23%) . It can be concluded that in 25 short stories students found the use of grammatical and lexical cohesion tools, namely, 78 grammatical cohesion tools and 140 lexical cohesion tool data. The most dominant use of grammatical cohesion tools is the use of conjunctions with the findings of 46 quotations (59%) and the most dominant use of lexical cohesion tools, namely the use of repetitions as much as 36 (26%). This study aims to analyze the linguistic phenomena in the form of code switching and code mixing including the causal factors and functions attached to conversational events in the novel Cinta dalam Diam by Shineeminka. The data analyzed include: 1) Forms, events, functions, and factors that cause code switching in Shineeminka's novel Cinta Dalam Diam. 2) Forms, events, functions, and factors that cause code-mixing in Shineeminka's novel Cinta dalam Diam. The research method used to analyze this novel is a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques by reading, listening, taking notes and library techniques. The results of the analysis can be concluded as follows: 1) There are forms, events, functions, and factors that cause code switching in the novel Cinta dalam Diam by Shineeminka 2) There are forms, events, functions, and factors that cause code mixing in the novel Cinta dalam Diam by Shineeminka. Tujuan penelitian adalah memaparkan atau mendeskripsikan pembentukan kata berimbuhan (afiksasi) yang terdapat dalam judul berita pada laman youtube Kompas TV edisi Februari 2021. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Selain itu, penulis menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dalam menyajikan data-data. Pembentukan kata berimbuhan (afiksasi) yang mendominasi judul berita pada laman youtube Kompas TV edisi Februari 2021 adalah jenis prefiks dengan 108 temuan dari total 205 temuan atau 52,68%, jenis sufiks sebanyak 53 temuan atau 25,86%, dan jenis konfiks sebanyak 44 temuan atau 21,46%. Dari hasil tersebut dapat diketahui bahwa pembentukan kata berimbuhan jenis prefiks lebih dominan dibandingkan dengan jenis pembentukan lainnya. Hal itu disebabkan prefiks atau imbuhan awalan berpotensi untuk membentuk kata berimbuhan, khususnya kata berimbuhan dalam judul berita pada laman youtube Kompas TV edisi Februari 2021.

The objective of the Research is to describe the development pattern of the paragraph and deixis used in opinion articles in the Kompas daily newspaper. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive, that of solving problems by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data. The sources of data in this study are words, sentences, and paragraphs. Conclusions derived from the analysis of the development pattern of paragraph and the use of deixis in the opinion articles in Kompas daily newspaper, found that deixis of space is the most widely used in opinion opinion articles and special-generational development patterns as opening and generalized development patterns used more frequently in opinion articles. This is seen from as many as 25 opinion articles use space deixis, and 20 opinion articles use specialized, generalized, generalized development patterns as the corresponding development pattern to its opening and closing. The objective of the study is to analyze the Enhanced Spelling System errors and dictions used in the April 2021 issue of the Radar Karawang and Pasundan Expres. The method used is a qualitative method with an analysis description technique. The sources of data in this study are words, phrases, and sentences that misrepresent aspects of spelling and diction. Research has found 121 errors in the Radar newspaper including 80 spelling errors and 41 diction errors and 138 errors in the Pasundan express newspapers including 88 spelling errors and 50 diction errors. Misspelling errors found in the two newspapers are capital writing, italic writing, preposition writing, derivative writing, composite writing of words, particles, full stop, comma, hypen, and colon. The diction errors of the two newspapers are the use of abstract, synonyms, eufeumism, uneconomical sentences, plural meanings, miscontextual, unregulated words, grammatical forms, and familiar or unusual words. The dominant form of error in the Radar newspaper, which has the spelling aspect, is that foreword writing amounts to 18 words or 22.5 % of all 80 words, and from the prediction of conformity 32 words or 78.04 percent of the total 41 words. The dominant form of error in the post and express newspaper is the use of a coma of 26 errors or 29.54 percent of the 88 total while of the diction aspect is consistent with 23 errors or 46 % of the total 50 words.
