This research has investigated the performance analysis of lightweight encryption algorithms, which are using in RFID applications. In the first part, the codes of the investigated ciphers are analyzed, and then, four encryption algorithms include TEA, HIGHT, KATAN, and KLEIN are implemented on AVR Microcontroller to evaluate the number of CPU clock cycle for each cipher. In the last part, the results of two previous parts are compared.

Ten years of latitudinal variation of minimum Outgoing Longwave Radiation (OLR) over South East Asia was examined by using weekly OLR data from National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) polar-orbiting satellites. The study was carried out using data collected from January 2000 to December 2010 which covered a region from longitudes 95°E-110°E; latitudes 20°N-20°S. Fourier function fitting was used to show the annual propagation of minimum OLR and created a new model of latitudinal variation of minimum OLR. The created model can be used to examine the latitude where minimum OLR occur.

E-learning refers to the way to deliver learning content by means of computer technology. E-learning is classified to synchronous and asynchronous; each has its advantages and disadvantages. Virtual lab is an example of an e-learning and it's a simulated environment which enables students and professionals to do the exercises. The aim of this research is to design and implement an architecture of virtual lab based on multi-agents system. The multi-agent system overcomes some limitations of the well known server-client model. Using multi-agents based virtual lab system provides an adaptable, interactive, extensible, distributed, collaborative virtual lab system to effectively realize the learning anytime and anywhere to our approach.

Mobile Ad-hoc NETworks (MANETs) comprise on wireless mobile nodes that are communicating with each other without any infrastructure. Vehicular Ad-hoc NETwork (VANET) is a special type of MANETs in which vehicles with high mobility need to communicate with each other. In this paper, we present a novel framework for link availability of paths for static as well as dynamic networks. Moreover, we evaluate our frame work for routing protocols performance with different number of nodes in MANETs and in VANETs. We select three routing protocols namely Ad-hoc On-demand Distance Vector (AODV), Fish-eye State Routing (FSR) and Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR). Furthermore, we have also modified default parameters of selected protocols to check their efficiencies. Performance of these protocols is analyzed using three performance metrics; Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR), Normalized Routing Overhead (NRO) and End-to-End Delay (E2ED) against varying scalabilities of nodes. We perform these simulations with NS-2 using TwoRayGround propagation model. The SUMO simulator is used to generate a random mobility pattern for VANETs. From the extensive simulations, we observe that AODV outperforms among all three protocols.

Web based systems have become the common medium of delivering software applications. Thus, developing web based systems has become a major concern for developers due to the large number of technologies, tools and techniques available today. Developers are often faced with the dilemma of choosing the best technology for their projects especially when developing a high quality system that must comply with certain standards. Enterprise developers often use development frameworks to simplify development job, and to insure that their code follows proven development methodologies. In this paper we describe our approach for developing an intelligent university program ranking system, using a JEE web application framework that has been developed utilizing industry standards and best practices. The development has been done using a well designed JEE web application framework and REpresentational State Transfer (REST) web services to minimize the development time and effort. The system which uses the powerful Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) algorithm for its AI engine is developed using the SEAM framework and RESTEasy web services framework. SEAM has been chosen due to its power and integration capabilities while RESTEasy framework is chosen for its seamless integration with JBoss SEAM. The developed system known as i-Selangkah is divided into two major components; a web based control panel to administer and modify the system as well as the programs fuzzy rules, and a web services interface to provide the existing Selangkah system with the ranking services. i-Selangkah has been successfully implemented, integrated and tested with the existing Selangkah system developed by UiTM. The tests showed that the system can effectively be used together with Selangkah to provide better program advising to these potential applicants with respect to their merit points, the specific and ever-changing program requirements and more significantly, the past intake trends.

Requirements Engineering (RE), because of its theoretical nature and diversity of knowledge, has become the hardest stage of software development for students to learn and for lecturers to teach. Problems in Requirements Engineering Education (REE) have frequently been acknowledged and have been examined in several studies. These problems have been presented together with the results of analyses of them conducted from a conceptually integrated viewpoint (IV). In order to investigate lecturers' perceptions of the REE problems presented in IV, a questionnaire survey was conducted. An analysis of the survey results shows that almost all the contentions presented in IV can be supported. Lecturers perceive RE as an important course and require proper RE course outlines, efficient RE tools and case studies for teaching RE. Based on an analysis of conceptual IV and survey results, major gaps in REE research have been identified that need to be filled by RE researchers in the course of future REE research.

Requirements engineering is a collaborative process carried out with the mutual cooperation and coordination of stakeholders. Requirements-driven collaboration is of crucial and utmost importance in case of agile methods, especially for geographically distributed teams. Socio technical aspects have been discussed in literature for collaborative design and group work activities. Similarly this paper describes the socio-technical aspects in context of requirements engineering for agile methods. Precisely, in this paper we have twofold objectives; first we have mapped requirements engineering phases with agile methods workflow and secondly explored the socio-technical aspects of requirements-driven collaboration within agile methods. Thus this paper provides a new dimension of reviewing the socio technical aspects for requirements-driven collaboration and their alignment with agile iterations.
