The magnitude of the peak voltage may affect the system of the LDO regulator depending on the load current. The LDO regulator, which must provide the appropriate voltage for each system level, must be designed to be insensitive towards the changes in the load current. The proposed LDO regulator was applied to have an excellent current driving capability depending on the load current with the dual buffer structure. In addition, the proposed ESD protection provides improved ESD robustness characteristics using PTSCR (P-Substrate Triggered SCR) in low-voltage applications built into the power lines and output terminals based on the silicon control rectifier (SCR). The operating conditions of the proposed LDO regulator of the dual buffer structure were set to an input voltage of 3.3 V to 4.5 V, a maximum load current of300 mA, and an output power voltage of 3 V. As a result of the measurement, the proposed LDO regulator maintained undershoot and overshoot voltages of 41 and 46 mV, respectively, when a load current of 200 mA was applied. In addition, it was confirmed that a stable output voltage was provided after the introduction of the ESD situation.

Vine disease identification using the IoT sensors network is a new method studied by many researchers. This method wants to replace the farmer’s work that uses classical methods to detect and prevent vine problems. The presented studies aim to compare the results of vine disease diagnosis obtained using classical and intelligent methods of data acquisition. Using the classical methods is identifying the degree of attack (DA) of the disease on the vine leaf. The environmental parameters are analyzed using neural network classification to identify the disease occurrence and to prevent them. So, the diagnosis system can be implemented using a supervised neural network in which the classes represent the DA identified on the leaves and the inputs are the atmospheric conditions.

Data show that only a third of the total volume of IT projects are successful, and that more than 80% of developers of large-scale projects will fail. The main reason for this is the ignorance of the social and human factors at play during the development of the conceptual model of the project. The aim of this article is to present an approach for designing a conceptual model of an information processing system based on digital technologies that respects the paradigms of sociotechnical systems. In order to explore the attitudes of young specialists towards such an approach, a Likert-type five-point survey was implemented, the results of which explained the reasons for possible failures of IT projects. The lessons learned in this work will be useful for customers, investors and project developers.

With the growing use of alternate power generation sources such as wind and solar, HVDC systems are an important enabler for power distribution between grids and enable a range of alternate sources connecting to the grid. Unlike AC systems, the HVDC system does not suffer from reactive power losses providing greater efficiency for power transmission. Minimizing reactive power, therefore, increases efficiency. However, in a transmission system, reactive power is useful in maintaining a stable voltage and improving fault recovery within the system. Due to DC transmission requiring the use of power electronics, especially in the area of Voltage Source Converters (VSC) HVDC converters, the controllability of DC allows for full control over the transmitted active and reactive power independently. In this paper, combining the fast responsive nature of the PI controller with the robust damping capabilities of the fuzzy logic controller is applied to gain better control when clearing faults.

We revisit the stability property of the boundary equilibria of a prey-predator model with a refuge-stage structure prey population. For the vanishing equilibrium point, our study shows that the conditions that ensure the local stability of the vanishing point are enough to ensure its global stability. The differential inequality theory is used to derive a set of easily verifiable requirements ensuring predator-free equilibrium’s global asymptotically stable behavior. Our results essentially improve some known results.

The huge expansion of wireless technologies along with the prosperity of the Internet of Things has become immensely notable. However, such a huge shift in the world of wireless technologies has resulted in abundant challenges including, incompatibility between wireless standards in heterogenous networks in addition to an increase in energy consumption. Therefore, a solution has been proposed that visions an era of seamless communication in heterogenous networks to mitigate the preceding challenges. The proposed solution will be evaluated and validated through a network simulator OMNeT++ along with a simulated network topology. Simulation Analysis demonstrates an enhancement in terms of performance which offers great potential in trending seamless IoT applications.

A non-autonomous stage-structure prey-predator model with cannibalism for prey is proposed and investigated in this paper. Using the differential inequality theory, sufficient conditions that ensure the system’s permanence are obtained in the general non-autonomous case. For periodic case, by using Brower’s fixed point theorem and constructing a suitable Lyapunov function, sufficient conditions which ensure the existence of unique globally asymptotically stable periodic solutions are obtained. Numeric simulations are carried out to show the feasilibility of the main results.

An adult's death from diabetes ranks among the top 10 global causes of death. Eye conditions like diabetic retinopathy (DR) are more common in people with diabetes. Loss of eyesight may arise from DR's damage to the retina's blood vessels. Grading the severity of DR is a crucial step to aid in early identification and treatment and to halt the disease's progression to vision impairment. Most currently available solutions are built using conventional image processing and machine learning methods. This paper applies the emerging vision transformer (ViT) model to the DR dataset with different optimizers. The dataset is available publicly and is highly imbalanced. The optimizers such as Adam (Adaptive moment estimation), Nadam (Nesterov Adam), and Follow the Regularized Leader (FTRL) are used for minimizing the loss function. A convolutional neural network (CNN) model is also implemented with different optimizers, and the results are compared with the ViT model. The Adam optimizer with the ViT model shows a better F1-score (0.732) than the CNN model.

Introducing digital services for urban and intercity mobility significantly influence the travel mode decisions of passengers. In order to analyze the changes in the transport habits of citizens triggered by the digitalization of public transport, we apply the Markov regime-switching model. The proposed approach has ability to indicate and model periods in the considered time series with substantial differences in their statistical characteristics, that makes it especially appropriate for estimation of business model innovation effect. In our case the Jacksonville Transportation Authority vehicle revenue miles negative trend turns to positive in the period after introducing digital services for their passengers. Our results demonstrate that introduction of digital services for passengers makes public transportation more attractive and increase the number of trips that use those transport modes compared to personal car usage. Observed shift of transport habits to lowemission travel modes reduces on-road emissions directly as well as indirectly by reducing congestion and time spent in traffic.

The purpose of this paper is to improve the energy efficiency of electric street lighting systems by developing methods for optimizing the parameters of its elements and energy-efficient control algorithms. To achieve this, an analysis of existing technical solutions and justification of the system of indicators was made; methods have been developed to optimize the parameters of the elements of the street network during its design or modernization. An algorithm for adjusting the power of street lighting installations using a neural network for predicting traffic intensity and an integrative algorithm for determining energy-efficient operation through two variables are proposed, combining the algorithms for selecting power according to the value of natural light and adjusting the mode of operation according to the traffic. A simulation model has been developed for the functioning of the street lighting electrical system, taking into account external influences. The training of the neural network was performed in the MATLab environment.
