Methods : EBM journal clubs which was designed and implemented in 1398 and 1399 in the school of Persian Medicine of Iran University of Medical Sciences was a combination of an EBM workshop with EBM Journal Clubs, which included designing clinical questions and searching and critically appraising the evidence, and using EBM checklists. The evaluation was performed with a structured researcher-made questionnaire to assess the efficacy of the program, and a non-structured questionnaire to assess the strengths and weaknesses of the program, the expectations and suggestions of the participants. Results : Ten students who participated in more than 70% of sessions believed that the program was effective in conveying EBM concepts (90-100% of participants), but was not effective enough in gaining the ability to use statistical concepts (30% of participants). All of them stated that they need more practice and learning. A qualitative review of the opinions of 16 persons (some of them participated in less than 70% of the sessions) identified the strengths and weaknesses of the program, expectations and suggestions for future programs. Conclusion : EBM journal club is an appropriate method to transfer EBM knowledge; however, to improve the efficacy of the program, other interventions such as mandatory participation of the students, improving the knowledge of masters of Persian medicine about EBM and

Introduction : Most studies that examine the difference between expectation and perceptions in educational systems evaluate this gap from the perspective of service recipients. However, the opinion of service providers (faculty members) should not be ignored because it can be provide the opportunity to design reformations in order to increase educational service quality. The aim of this study was to evaluate the educational service quality from the perspective of faculty memebers of Mashhad Unievrsit of Medical Sciences in 2018. Methods : This cross-sectional study was performed on 178 faculty members at different levels using a questionnaire to evaluate the quality of educational services based on the SERVQUAL model. The validity and reliability of this questionnaire has been proven in previous studies. Participants were selected by available sampling method and experessed their opinions in five dimensions of service quality, including confidence, assurance, accountability, empathy and physical in the two areas of present and desired status (Likert scale 1 to 4 ). SPSS version 26 was used for statistical analysis. Results : From the perspective of faculty members, there was a statistically significant difference between the present and the desired status in all five dimensions. Overall, the highest gap was in the accountability dimension (-0.59±0.50) and the lowest gap was in the confidence dimension (-0.21±0.56). The lowest reported gap was reported by associate professors (-0.25±0.29) and the highest gap was reported by professors (-0.52±0.39). Conclusion : From the faculty members' point of view, the quality of educational services is lower than expected, although this negative gap is not large. To make up for this small gap, it is advisable to review the statements made by faculty members in this report. This study can lead to the development of strategies to improve the quality of university education.

maryyavari52@gmail.com Abstract : Introduction : Accreditation is one of the educational evaluation methods that is based on self-assessment and peer evaluation and is carried out to ensure the quality of the institution or university. This study was conducted for the assessment of complying with educational accreditation standards by medical students in teaching hospitals. Methods : This was a descriptive -analytical cross-sectional study. A questionnaire was developed in two parts including demographic characteristics and 6 domains (professional coverage, communication skills, rules and regulations, education, safety and professionalism) and 47 items with 5-point Likert scale. Face and content validity of the questionnaire were confirmed, and reliability was calculated with internal consistency coefficient. Then, the obeying with educational accreditation standards was assessed by medical students. SPSS 16 software was used for data analysis. Results : Medical students (n=210) completed the questionnaire. (α=0.91) The frequency of compliance with educational accreditation standards in professionalism and communication skills was at a desirable level (78.5% and 57.6%), and in professional coverage, regulations, education, safety and total of 6 domains were reported as semi-desirable (58.6, 75.2, 76.2, 64.3 and 70%). In general, the adherence to educational accreditation standards was significantly higher among female students; mean age over 35 years; married; the higher level of education and higher awareness of standards (P-Value≤0.05). Conclusion : Self-assessment in students as a turning point to reflect on skills acquired in the areas of professional coverage, communication skills, rules and regulations, education, safety and professionalism, which include the essential competencies emphasized by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) for the training

Introductions : Attracting and enrolling the overseas students is a vital element in international universities. It seems necessary to know the factors affecting students' enrollment in the universities. Therefore, the present study aimed to investigate the reasons for choosing Iran medical sciences universitis by foreign students. Methods : The present study is a qualitative study with a conventional content analysis approach. 17 foreign students studying in Tehran, Iran and Shahid Beheshti Universities of Medical Sciences who were studied the second semester of the academic year of 2018-2019. They selected by purposive sampling method and interviewed by semi-structured method. The collected data were analyzed currently based on five Griesheim steps. Results : Findings of the thematic analysis of the interviews showed that 3 categories of scientific, cultural-social and economic components with seven subcomponents including "high rank and reputation of the university", "competent professors", "proximity of the country-neighborhood", "common religion-Religious similarity", "High security-especially for girls", "Loving Iran-Iranian culture", "Scholarship-appropriate tuition", "common language" and "Friends' recommendation" are the reasons for choosing Iran as a university destination by foreign students. Conclusion : According to the findings, scientific, cultural and economic factors are the most important reasons for choosing Iran universities as a destination for studing by foreign students.

Introduction: The aim of this study was to investigate the factors affecting research motivation in teaching professors. Methods: The present study is of practical use and is exploratory in terms of processing and testing hypotheses. The researcher has used survey and field methods to collect the required information and complete the questionnaires. Descriptive and inferential statistical methods were used to analyze the data. The statistical population of this study includes all 950 professors of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences. According to Morgan's table, the sample size was estimated at 284 people. Results: Among the studied professors, 174 (61.3%) were male and 110 (38.7%) were female. The results showed that the priority factor of personal and professional aspects of professors with an average rank of 3.64 and the factor of cultural fields with an average rank of 3.21 and the factor of financial resources and research facilities with an average rank of 3.11 and the factor of management and research policy with The average rank of 2.57 and the structural and administrative factor with the average rank of 2.47 have a role in strengthening the research motivation of professors. Conclusion: By encouraging and facilitating research in education and appropriate policies, we should strengthen the motivation to engage in educational research in parallel with education. The main purpose of holding all educational seminars, congresses, medical education conferences and Shahid Motahari Educational Festival should be to promote the scientific level of researchers and strengthen the motivation for research in education
